Beloved Playa Mujeres

Our stay at Beloved Playa Mujeres was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, everything slowed down in the best way possible. The resort is beautiful, but more importantly, it feels calm and intentional. You never feel rushed, never feel crowded. Whether you are walking along the beach early in the morning, sitting by the pool in the afternoon, or heading to dinner in the evening, there is a sense of peace that stays with you the entire time. What we loved most is that the resort never felt crowded. There was always space. Space to relax, space to breathe, space to actually disconnect. You are not competing for chairs, not waiting around, not dealing with noise. It feels like the kind of place you go when you truly want a real break. The service is what makes the experience come alive. It is not just that it is top notch, it is that it feels real. At El Mar, Victor made every meal feel like something to look forward to. The setting, the ocean, the pace of the service, it all comes together in a way that makes you want to stay a little longer. We had the pleasure of having Alfonso as our waiter at both El Mar and Lupita, and he was outstanding. Attentive, funny, and engaging in a way that never felt forced. The kind of person who reads the table perfectly and makes the experience feel personal. By the pool, Elvis was incredible. He is out there all day in the sun, moving constantly, checking in on guests, delivering drinks, keeping things flowing, and somehow doing it all with a smile and a sense of humor. You can see how hard he works, and yet he never lets that take away from how present and friendly he is. That kind of effort stands out. At the bar, Juan made great drinks and created an easy, welcoming vibe that made it hard to leave. And from day one, Jacqueline at the front desk made us feel genuinely welcomed, which set the tone for everything that followed. We also want to mention Christian, who greeted us with champagne and made us feel welcomed right away, and who also drove us over to Excellence for dinner. Even though the ride was only a few minutes, he was so friendly and easy to talk to that I found myself wishing the ride had been longer. For those who like to keep their routine, the gym is a great setup for a hotel. There is enough equipment to get in a real workout, not just go through the motions, which is something I always look for and appreciated here. We stayed in room 325, a junior suite with excellent views of the ocean. Waking up to that view each morning and stepping out onto the balcony set the tone for the day. The room itself was well appointed, always clean, bright, and airy. I have been fortunate enough to stay in several rooms at different resorts, and this was by far the best. One thing that really stayed with me was talking to several staff members about their experience working for Excellence Group Luxury Hotels & Resorts. All we heard were positive things. Many have been there for years, and you can feel that. There is a level of pride and consistency that only comes from people who are treated well and choose to stay. The staff at Beloved work incredibly hard to create an experience that feels effortless for the guest, and that does not go unnoticed. If I had one regret, it is that we did not get everyone’s names, because so many people contributed to making this stay special. Beloved is not just a place you visit. It is a place you actually feel while you are there. We are already planning our return.

Our fourth visit to Beloved was just as exceptional as the first. Everything about your experience is designed to encourage total relaxation. The staff, as always, are a particular highlight here. Paola at check in immediately makes you feel welcome. The staff at the restaurants (particularly Karen the hostess, Jaime, and Luis) are so attentive and friendly. The waiters at the beach and pools (particularly Alex and Elvis) and the concierges (Fabiola and Denisse) will make your day there full of smiles and laughter. The property is immaculately maintained and the rooms are spotlessly clean. We stayed in a casita and really enjoyed the room, the private pool, and its proximity to the beach. The food is excellent here. We tried every restaurant (including room service) and were impressed by the variety and quality of the dishes. The taco truck is always a highlight and Jaime is a master at making delicious tacos that will make you want to come back multiple times a day. While it's technically a "small" resort there is always plenty to do at Beloved and your days will fly by. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

We had a wonderful stay and we truly love this hotel. The staff is consistently amazing, and the ambiance combined with everyone’s friendly attitude makes the experience feel special every time. A special thank you to Luis and Oskar, who took great care of us at the beach, bringing drinks and food with such attentiveness and kindness. Denisse, the beach concierge, was always there with a smile and made sure everything was perfect. We also want to recognize Benito at the Lupita Lounge—he was always attentive and made us some fantastic drinks that we really enjoyed. The service, the food, the atmosphere, and the people are what keep us coming back. Highly recommended!

Beloved Playa Mujeres was the quiet, serene getaway we were looking for. The swim out suite was a fabulous idea - the room is larger than others we've stayed at, in addition to the fact that the swim out pools are also larger. We enjoyed coffee on our patio each morning and a cocktail at night. Service was fantastic - staff members who made our stay memorable include Artemio, Luis (swim up room server), Daniella, Mishell, Karina, and Carlos.

First stay at Beloved, it was everything we expected and then some. The grounds are very well kept. The wait staff was personable and very attentive. We look forward to our next trip.
