Beloved Playa Mujeres

Would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a more calm vacation experience. The only part that wasn’t super great was the room air conditioning but only at night. We woke up a couple times each night sweating but the beds were comfortable and it was a very pleasant experience! I would definitely go back.

Our visit to Beloved Playa Mujeres was incredible from start to finish. Our needs and wants were met from the time we exited the airport until we were dropped back off. Christian's cheerful and hospitable welcome set the tone for our incredible stay. Jibran at El Mar honored us with small talk. Eric drove us to and from the neighboring Excellence resort and was very kind with heartfelt advice and his sharing of Mexican culture. Oscar worked so hard and provided first-class service at the Lupita Lounge. Alexander's deft management took a mishap at the main pool very seriously and made us feel safe. Genny's housekeeping touches made each day at the room fresh and special. Regina's assistance at the spa allowed us to relax even further. Fernando was seemingly everywhere providing us all we could want throughout the day. Luis, Luis, Elvis, and Ramon were attentive wherever we saw them. Aurora at the Welome Desk was incredible as she guided and organized us and other guests through myriad situations. There are so many more staff members who helped us directly as servers, concierges, bartenders, turndown servicers, or just by providing a kind smile and a greeting. All of the staff members who helped us directly or indirectly (cooking, cleaning, landscaping, etc.) came together to provide a refined, relaxed, compassionate, and beautiful experience that we will remember and tell everyone about. As for amenities, we opted for a beach-front casita with a private pool, so we could always lounge by the water and receive poolside service, however, there were times when we noticed there were no chairs available by the other pools for those with different rooms. The room was beautiful and quiet, but there was not a lot of bathroom privacy. Only one day did we find that there were no chairs available at the beach. There was also a fair amount of ocean vegetation to wade through for swimming, but I'm not sure how that compares to other locales. Overall, the resort had what we wanted to have a fulfilling experience, and none of these criticisms detracted from the experience in a meaningful way. As our first visit to an all-inclusive resort, I have nothing to compare the experience to, however, our visit exceeded all of my expectations. We look forward to going back :)

I am sure many of you have heard the phrase "I have died and gone to heaven" when speaking or relaying a great experience. Well if at all possible, "I have died and gone to multiple versions of heaven" here at Beloved Playa Mujeres. The resort is absolutely spectacular in every sense of the word and the experience quite special. From our arrival and greeting by Aina who gave us such a warm welcome and detailed information on everything available to us and all the "little extras" the resort offers; to great dinning, a beautiful beach to spend time at, entertainment at night (but not crazy or loud), a wonderful spa, but most importantly a great TEAM that makes this place special. We have loved every minute of our stay - the staff at the beach (Denise and Alex) got to know us well and made sure we were cared for at all times. The wonderful waiters and hostesses at the restaurants (Stephanie, Jaime, Trejo, Michell, Jafet) recommended great meals and made any request/adjustment possible - the food was to "die for". Franklin at the Sushi bar not only made us great rolls and other sushi/sashimi but shared with us information on the entertainment and recommended where to get a yummy dessert (since the Sushi bar does not offer them). At the main bar Juan, Hugo and Pascual made me seltzer water with real zumo (freshly mashed lemons) which gave my Spindrift at home a run for its money. From the minute we arrived everything was perfect - the room, the service, the spa, the gym, pool, beach, ABSOLUTELY everything. I have traveled all over the world and with the exception of Nayara Springs in Costa Rica nothing has been quite this amazing. The size and attention to detail makes all the difference. This is a place to get away and truly relax. I know for sure that I needed this kind of a break.

This was our third stay at the Beloved. It was another great stay, but it seemed to be less great than last time (2022). The facility is still great, but the service and attentiveness of the staff has dropped off and the quality of the food seems to be deteriorating. Everything took a little longer, especially in the Lupida lounge and the friendliness has diminished. Facility still very good, rooms were excellent, but overall not as good as last time. That being said, it is one of our favourite all-inclusive resorts and we will return.

Seven days in January was more than perfect. Our first visit and our favorite so far. Beautiful, perfectly sized, quiet, & relaxing…not for loud crowd at all. Food was amazing, we loved all of it!
