Barcelo Puerto Vallarta

I paid for a premium room, but I’m sitting in a deluxe suite. I was offered a choice of two different sweets, one with a king bed and one with two twin beds so I chose the king bed. Just found out that I’ve been put in a deluxe suite after paying for a premium suite. Unfortunately, I have eight more weeks of Barcelo bookings that I cannot change

Excelente servicio de David Molina! He was very attentive and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. He was always friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was taken care of. His attention to detail and great attitude really made a difference. Thank you, David, for making our experience even better! Highly recommended.

Front desk staff was Amazing as well as all the pool and bartenders Ricardo and Moises were awesome!!! The entertainment crew were amazing and definitely had the vibes going all day long!!! The buffet staff was always amazing!!!

So just back home from a 5-night stay at Barcelo Puerto Vallarta to enjoy a Birthday week with friends.  The weather was great and we had some good laughs.  So how was it?   Food - 9 / 10 Only had an issue with 1 meal where my steak was over cooked and server would not acknowledge, other than that the food was really good. Amenities - 10 / 10  Lots of different places to chill and relax, be it on the beach or beside 1 of the 2 large pools. Location - 10 / 10 Great location, and just a 20-minute cab ride to Centro in PVR. Service - 7 / 10 The service staff can definitely make or break your day.  Some are EXCELLENT while other, well not so much....  We had a mixture of both.  Shout out to Angel & Moses who know how to serve! Excursions & Concierage - 4 / 10 We booked on an excursion that took us to the historic district and Centro of PVR, then out to a coffee roaster and finally a Tequila producer.  This is a 6-hour trip and is listed as free.  When we confirmed this with the concierge, we double checked on if lunch was included.  The response to us was "YES".  So we went on the trip knowing we would be taken to specific stores and such and all was good.  Then we got to the Tequila stop and found out lunch would be 800 - 1200 pesos, and not free as advertised.  This took us off guard along with a couple of other people who had been told the same as us.  When we got back to the hotel the Concierge denied saying lunch was included.  She should have just owned up to her error.  It is not that we could not afford lunch, it was just being caught off guard on a trip that was free.  And YES we did support the merchants we stopped at, purchasing a few things along the way. So over all I would say 40 / 50 or 4 stars. Would I go back?  I would give it some very strong consideration...  So most likely We had a good time with some good memories not to mention a few laughs

Our server Apolonia Flores was amazing . Alwaye had a smile and prompt service. We loved her.
