I am a luxury wedding planner from the States and had the pleasure of working with Moncerrath Ornelas Martinez and Hector Nunez on two events for my clients. They went above and beyond to make it easy on us as vendors but also make sure my clients had the best weekend of their lives. Their kindness and attention to detail were truly remarkable. We greatly enjoyed our stay there. Food was incredible, hotel was clean and service was phenomenal. We will be back with clients and for personal use. Thank you GV team.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Grand Velas. The concierge was the very best- Perla provided us exceptional service and was so welcoming, friendly, and a wealth of knowledge. Edwin provided the best service by the pool or at the beachside cabanas, he always made sure we were well taken care of. Be sure to get a coconut on a Saturday, they are delicious! All of the staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the property ran smoothly, and was always clean. The nightly entertainment was wonderful. Boogie boards were also provided for some ocean fun. Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit has it all- relaxation, fun, exquisite service, and amazing food.

We're returning from a fantastic 6 days staying at the Grand Velas. We had high expectations and weren't disappointed. The food options were plentiful and of a consistently high quality. Particular highlights were the fresh seafood and daily grill down by the beach each day. Drinks options were endless and the quality of drinks in the Koi bar during the evening were very good. Service around the pool was generally very good, although each day around 4pm it seemed that the waiters disappeared. I'd recommend making restaurant reservations before you arrive, our favourite was the Italian. We travelled with our 14 and 11 year old and we all felt entertained throughout the holiday. The aerial yoga and hatha yoga classes were excellent and well worth booking to ensure you get a spot. The gym was a really pleasant environment to workout in with great facilities. Beach volleyball, pool aerobics, poolside blackjack and the teens club were also a big hit. Carlos on the beach, and Emily and Eme from the pool entertainment team were all excellent, so friendly and enthusiastic. Our suite concierge Ramon was extremely helpful, on hand each day with everything we needed and took the time to connect and communicate with us. We had an ocean view Parlour Suite which worked well for us. Plenty of living and bedroom space, although the bathroom was a little cramped. Our kids had room service on the evening that we went to the French restaurant and that was fine. Not up to the same standard as the other food across the resort (I wouldn't recommend room service pizza) but perfectly fine for a one off. The waves on the beach were a lot of fun, we enjoyed taking out the complimentary boogie boards. My daughter unfortunately got stung by a jelly fish but the first aid team at the hotel were incredibly helpful, immediately administering vinegar which calmed the sting. Our only gripe would be the sunbed situation. Although there are signs throughout the pool area stating that beds can't be reserved, there is a definite culture of early morning bed hogging. One day, by 7.45am all beds were 'taken' with just a cap or book on them. We witnessed a cabana on the bed being reserved all day with the guests only coming to it at 4pm. I think there would be sufficient beds for all guests if people stopped being selfish and the hotel more effectively enforced the no reservations policy. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing and stressfree holiday.

Our 8th time (6th with our girls) and the consistency to excellence is out of this world. We are heavy travelers and this still is the one place in the world where we step on property and we worry about a thing. Our Concierge Maria was the best we've coming to the property. Every day checking in with us multiple times and was always quick to make last minute changes for us. And then there is the pool area!! The Pool Captain is TOP CLASS!! Jose Ramos has greeted us every time with a hug, a quick check in to make sure we knew the team was ready for us, and then he's off giving the same level of care to other guests and his team. Such a true asset to the hotel and for as long as he's there, we know the pool service will be the best in class!! Our two pool attendants for the week was Gabriel (Maui Maui) and Manuel, and they were as consistent as the sounds of the waves! Always there, always asking if we needed something, and we were never needing anything when we were at our lounge chairs! Last but NOT least was our Pool Concierge Team of Eduardo and Raymundo! Such a happy team and one that took care of the small details like pool floaties and constant umbrella shade as we needed it. As I mentioned before - we worry about nothing when we are here and this pool TEAM is a HUGE reason why. Finally, we'd love to recognize Ricardo at Azul. He has been here as long as we have been coming and has become like family to us! Every morning starts with a smile and a wave from him letting us know he was there for us when we were ready. Even during the mornings I would go down to make a call for work or just to quietly listen to the waves before the sun came up, Ricardo was there to hand me a Mexican Coffee without me asking and just a friendly pat on the back and a "Good Morning Amigo!". Such a hard worker and takes care of us like we had been life long friends! Thankful for all he does and is part of the fabric of what makes Grand Velas "Grand". Other great touches are the Amat coffee bar, Spa is out of this world, and every single one of the restaurants makes it easy to NEVER leave the property. Grateful for yet another great stay and we can't wait to return for trip #9!!

We have stayed in several places in Mexico. By far, this one is exceptional. The service in every area is inconceivably extraordinary. We worked closely with our concierge, named Dulce. She took care of every need we had and some we did not even know we would need her help on. The food was fantastic. The rooms were clean, beautiful with extraordinary views. Our grandkids absolutely loved this trip. I could not recommend it highly enough. We had the best concierge service we’ve ever encountered.

I stayed at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit for two nights and only have wonderful things to say about the property. The staff is absolutely fantastic -- always friendly, well-trained, quick, and ready to help with anything. Everyone gets a "personal concierge" who was a real time-saver for dinner reservations, spa appointments, and general questions. The spa is clean and the treatments I had (massage, facial, and hydrotherapy circuit) were wonderful, but the hydrotherapy pool area is showing its age just a bit. Because this is the oldest Grand Velas property, I was expecting it to feel a bit run down, but it did not show its age at all. The gym is especially modern.
My suite was "resort view" but I could clearly see the ocean beyond the pool without having to crane my neck or unpack the binoculars. It is most definitely a family-friendly resort, but the adults-only areas are separate and quite relaxing. Pool and beach service are top-notch. Food quality was very good, especially the Mexican restaurant and pool/beach options. The breakfast buffet could be a bit more exciting, but I'm not a fan of buffets... if you just want an omelet, opt for room service, which is lovely. I highly recommend this resort, especially for families, but couples and singles will also love it. It's worth the price and it is a real 5-star luxury property.

Just wanted to let your staff know that after 6 nights at the Grand Velas we didn't want to leave. The staff was very attentive and the food in all three restaurants was delicious. Our room was very contemporary with a Mexican feel. We were able to lie in bed and see the ocean. I would highly recommend it and have already.
