Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana

Where do I start? We weren't too sure about what to expect when we booked this hotel but I'm glad we came. When we arrived, we were welcomed with chilled towels and a glass of champagne. Considering the weather was very hot that day, these little gestures were very welcome. We were greeted by "welcome home" and I felt that was special. Check in was straightforward and we didn't hang around at all. We had some concerns with our room and after raising it at the reception, Geremais who was there at the time quickly referred it to Paola the reception manager. Paola apologised and upgraded us to the preferred club which was very nice of her. We thoroughly loved the quietness of the place and also the room was more modern with great amenities. Throughout our stay, Isabel, Emely and Paola ensured that we were okay. They checked on us daily and the best experience was when we got given the cabana at the beach as complimentary! This was on the last day before we left for the UK so it was very relaxing. The waiter at the cabana beach Juan David was exceptional. His service was great and we had lots of chats with him. Dreams Royal is a stunning resort. The grounds are clean and there is staff everywhere you go and they all greet you with "Hola" which is so nice! Thank you Dreams for training your staff so well. It makes such a difference when staff are professional and are welcoming, so please reward them as they are the ones keeping the reputation of the resort up. We tried all the restaurants except the french one and our favourite is Portofino! Great food and great service. The Mexican wasn't that great but that wasn't an issue because one can always get food at the other restaurants. We were sorry to leave and it's been such a memorable holiday that we will be coming back next year. Thank you Dreams for all you do, never change.

We stayed in the preferred section of the resort which meant we had access to a personal concierge. Marcelo was our concierge and he was amazing. Hands-on with any queries we had and very pleasant at all times. The preferred area we were in was a short buggy ride away from the main area. The area we were in seemed quieter than the main pool area which is something we were happy about. We celebrated an anniversary at the resort and were suprised with a bottle of champagne upon returning to the room after a day out - a nice touch! I visited the gym on a few occasions and the PT Saulo was also super friendly, happy to show you around the equipment and even some pointers and work out tips. The resort itself is amazing but it is the great staff that made the holiday that much better.

What can I say it’s been amazing. It is the best hotel we have stayed in at the Dominican and highly recommend. The rooms 5111 and 5113 were beautiful on the ground floor leading out to a beautiful pool The pool winds its way all the through the hotel grounds. beds are plentiful. The towel system is amazing as you just pick up a towel from any station which are situated throughout and the beach is amazing. The sand is like Talc. People do complaining about the seaweed but to us that is nature it is not a problem and there is a guy that comes along every day to help clear it. The food is a delight in most restaurants we were not so keen on the Mexican the best restaurant is the steak one on the beach we had a surprise or should I say I had a surprise on my 20th wedding anniversary whereby my husband arranged a meal on the beach with lights and Personal service it was amazing. They did a brilliant job. The cocktails are fantastic. They’re amazing and the animation team are great. They always acknowledge you whether you join in or not. The whole place is immaculate. The toilets outside are immaculate. I’m the best thing for me - jokingly - is the hairdryer in the room is the best ever. We wish we didn’t have to leave, but we are sitting there waiting for our bus to take us to the airport sadly

The resort was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon back in 2024 and was so impressed with the grounds and the treatment we received from the staff. This trip there was no question on where we were going to vacation. Upon arrival, our room was ready and was actually upgraded to a swim out suite. What a beautiful gesture for my 50th and we were greeted in our room with champagne and a tray of strawberries and happy birthday banner on the door. Our concierge was Michael and he was so attentive and welcoming. He constantly checked on us and updated us with the events that were happening at the resort. Now we haven't been here since 2024 and went to the preferred bar and saw Issac, the bartender. He remembered us from that trip and started to call around different resorts to see if he could get a particular champagne they had back then that I loved. Every evening he had our cocktail ready for us before we went to our rooms. Talking about customer service, this I really cherish and appreciated all of his effort. At the World Buffet we were greeted by an amazing waitress, Nedeline, her smile lite up the entire dining room and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We would see her working at different events, the circus beach event on the beach and sometimes she would do dinner opposed to breakfast. Every single time we would see her she greeted us warmly as "my family" which feels amazing when you are away from home. Finally, we reconnected with one of the drivers from the resort, Joel, who remembered us also. He was always available to take us directly to the places we dined at and to our room. I can honestly say when you have employees that makes you feel like family, it makes a difference. Dreams Royal Beach will always be my favorite resort in Punta Cana, and I always refer anyone traveling to DR about this resort. This resort is just the BEST!! Thank you Dreams for having such and AMAZING staff and hopefully you can give special recognition to the ones that I have listed in this review. I hope to travel here again next September and hopefully the same people that made us feel special this time, we will be able to see again.
