I am here right now, leaving in the morning. I’m not as pleased as many of the others, as I’ve stayed with this line of resorts several times, so my expectations were deservedly high. We paid to upgrade to preferred club and ended up staying in a regular room in the middle of all the noise. Like constant club beats and a frat party atmosphere several nights, well into the late hours. Cool, but not what I brought my young kids for. I had no idea there was entire separate preferred section that is GORGEOUS with updated rooms, better service, impeccable luxury vibes, and an incredible pool/cabana situation. To get there, we had to travel by golf cart. VERY disappointed in this—honestly it feels like I got ripped off a little. It’s weird that they didn’t point any of this out when we checked in at that lobby. Also we had to call every day to ask for the minibar to be refreshed and never once had a server come by to offer us a drink or anything at any of the pools—I finally made friends with one very nice guy (Hey, Wilkin!) who made a point to come by our swim out when he saw us there. I will say that the staff is very kind and were amazing in their interactions with my two kids. They remember you and make sure you feel welcome. The room service menu is comparatively VERY limited, but I have no complaints about any of the restaurants we went to. It was fine, it just wasn’t luxurious—it just feels very disjointed and not up to the standards I am used to seeing at Dreams/Secrets resorts. I will come back to this line of resorts, but not this specific one.

The resort itself was beautiful, there was a good selection of food and the bottled water was plentiful. We didn't choose the "preferred" option and if we return I don't think we would. the biggest issue we had were people "reserving" chairs by the main pools - very early in the morning- which I realize is common everywhere. I was hopeful staff would have addressed it, but I didn't witness that. On the other hand, possibly visitors could be less selfish and plan accordingly. if your not going to be around the pool for several hours then allow others to enjoy it. It was our first time to the DR and we really enjoyed ourselves

Overall absolute 5 star experience based on a combination of cost + facilities + staff + food. The resort is going through and upgrade but it is not overly invasive. We stayed in the preferred area and our room was modern and we had a great swim out with our own cabana in a very quiet area. The main area was not much louder except in the party section of the pool but even then that was just enough to be still great. The resort was at probably 40% capacity but fully staffed so that was great. I cannot say enough about the staff - there is an absolute unified belief that everyone there serves everyone. When someone walks by your table instead of them expecting your “server” to take care of you, everyone does. The property is extremely well maintained. It is not new but in comparison to other resorts of a similar age there are no tiles missing from pool trim, etc. More importantly with the upgrades I saw going on, I think in Spring 2026 or so it will be even more impressive. Our concierge Junior checked in on us constantly. We are pretty low maintenance IMO but we never needed to worry about anything. Our 7 year old had a blast. Unfortunately he was about 2” shy of the height required for the “big water slides”… but we still enjoyed everything else. The evening shows were also a blast and above par for other resorts. Except the magic show but then that was fun too because it was laughable. 😂 The beach is very well maintained and the vendors are present but not a nuisance- one polite NO and they depart. Sargasso is an issue but this property has a VERY effective barrier in place. We have stayed at three other Dreams properties with our son and based on overall value this one is my highest rank for overall value. We are considering returning again next year for the same week already.

Look no further for your perfect vacation/wedding/honeymoon/trip. This all inclusive resort was amazing with beautiful landscaping and such kind yet hard working staff. We did not want to leave!

Not the best. It’s hard to go outside the hotel. You need the bell boy, then a golf cart to travel outside the hotel then a cab awaits at the main entrance. Beach location was awful. No close restaurants by the beach. The food only good was breakfast. Lunch was not speacial. Dinner was not that great. Their best value was a steak and was very low quality. They have few restaurants. Now the beer and alcohol selection was not good. They serve small can beer. The only draft was presidente that was served in a small mug. Majority of hard liquor felt watered down. Rooms were clean. But they forget to refill the fridge. When the kids wanted ice cream. I had to run all the day way down to beach for the only ice cream spot there was. And thier selecting sucked. Not even fruits added or syrup or anything. The only pros was def security The water slides outstanding Pools were clean and no trash laying around The beach was horrendous with seaweed heaven but hey they can’t control the beach. Beach hotel had no activity set up No jet ski , no boat no nothing. Over all will not go back.
