Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana

The beach and the entire resort look like something straight out of a Caribbean postcard — the plants and palm trees throughout the property are magnificent. The pristine beach is absolutely stunning (a tractor removes seaweed several times a day), with warm turquoise water and pleasant waves. The pools are beautiful and, just like the beach, never crowded. Our room was lovely and clean, with a spacious walk-in shower (if you’re planning to pack shower gel, shampoo, or conditioner, there’s no need — instead of the usual small hotel bottles, you get large bottles of hydrating vegan toiletries, which are replaced even at midnight if needed), a hot tub on the balcony, and a minibar that was always fully stocked. We upgraded to a Tropical View, and the view was beautiful. We did not upgrade to the “Preferred” option and felt it would have been unnecessary — with ultra all-inclusive, we had everything we could possibly think of. The staff were absolutely perfect throughout our entire stay. Whatever we needed in the room, housekeeping always took care of us even without us having to ask — everyone is extremely attentive. On the beach, Vladimir, Mr. Wonderful, and Pikachu always helped us with everything; it was always a pleasure to meet them and chat with them, which was the cherry on top of our days spent on the stunning beach. Amby took care of our drinks almost the whole time — there wasn’t a single moment when we were missing anything. At the World Cafe everyone was amazing, but Neyeska took especially great care of us. She was incredibly kind and smiling at all times, and even with a large number of guests, she managed to remember our names, food allergies, and seating preferences. Considering that we are from Central Europe, we were pleasantly surprised by the variety, quality, and overall seasoning of the food, especially at the World Cafe restaurant. We are vegetarians, and my wife is quite a picky eater, yet there was no chance we wouldn’t eat exceptionally well. We especially appreciated the diversity and wide selection of cheeses, vegetables, salads, and fruits, whether from the hot or cold kitchen. Special praise goes to the local pastry chefs — every day we could choose from an endless variety of perfect desserts. Personally, I would like to give special recognition to the “venček” with whipped cream and strawberries (a Czechoslovak dessert similar to a profiterole), which I absolutely did not expect to find in the Caribbean — it tasted even better than back home. The bar staff always recommended what drink to choose, even when we thought we had already tried them all, and the flavors were always perfect. We never had to wait for anything.

This was an overall great experience. We loved the staff-best part. The pools and food were amazing. Loved our time here.

We loved our time at Dreams Royal Beach! Everything from the food and drinks to the atmosphere was top notch. I want to make sure I shout out a few STELLAR members of the staff that made our stay extra memorable. We did a preferred level suite. The room was nice. Our view was nothing to write home about because we just had a garden view, but my son loved having his own space and our butler Josè was an absolute blessing. He did everything from booking dining for our large group to making sure our son had all his snacks. He was the best and we attribute a lot of our great time here to his excellent service. Kuromi on the entertainment team was the best! She was so full of energy and friendly. Her energy was truly unmatched and she made us want to participate in everything! Blonde and Pikachu on the entertainment team were also excellent during the dance classes. Our 8 year old found them hilarious. Yudeter at the coffee shop will make you the best iced mocha! And our hibachi chef Ariendy made the experience unforgettable. The resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are pristine and the beach is clean and peaceful. Our son loved the waterslides and the long winding pool. Our one complaint is that the rooms weren’t cleaned at a consistent time each day so it was hard to know when we would have someone knocking on our door. There is also spotty drink service if you aren’t right near a bar. Overall though, the staff was friendly and engaging and we had a great family vacation!

Came here with a big group for a friend's wedding, the resort is gorgeous, food is delicious, and overall had a very relaxing time
