My husband and I have been here a few times and will be back. The staff that stood out to us was meyelin, guillermo, Rickey, Rosa, the two waiters at night at Dommo, and the bar tender at the circle bar. No complaints on staff but the menus have been cut drastically and is obvious. A lot of the choices are fish so that limited options as well. All of the menus have been cut and not in a good way. The food is good but not much variety. The same for the breakfast and lunch buffet. The lunch buffet was my favorite for their pasta station but this time was a 1 and done. The food trucks were good but need to cook their pizza longer so its not dough. Its a lot of money for ppl to spend to have so much cut. We always look forward to their food but it was a let down due to the cuts. Staff goes above and beyond to make u happy but they cant control what management decides. I hope they consider bringing things back.

We recommend this resort, we celebrated my husband 54th birthday and stayed 6 nights. It was at 42% capacity so it felt sooo quiet but we still made friends and staff at bars and restaurants were fun and very helpful. Areas looked clean. Our bedroom 8158 had a nice view of the excellence club pool (sunset bar all adults) our favorite staff that we will always remember: Wilson,Antonio,Rony,Araceli,Soledad,Javier, katheri,Victor,Michel,Fedor,Jose,Flor,Nicaudis. We will come back for sure. Brass steak house seemed to be the most popular restaurant that week (Delicious Rib Eye). Dommo restaurant (Grouper in Butter sauce)were my favorite dishes but Buffet was also good, they had a station for lunch were they cooked meats to order,so delicious and Pizza made to order. Very happy with our stay.

The check-in process was a masterclass in deception and dishonesty. We specifically booked a king bed private pool suite, and the resort's own website let me select and confirm the exact room I wanted. I arrived, confirmation in hand, only to have the rug pulled out from under us at the very last minute. The front desk agent had the key card ready and then casually mentioned the room—and even the entire type of room we paid for—was "unavailable." It was clear he knew this all along and was hoping to just slip the different key to us and move on. The only reason I caught the deceit was that a coworker, speaking in Spanish, asked him if he had told us the room wasn't available. The entire transaction felt like a cheap bait-and-switch. After a forced argument, we were "promised" we could move the next day. The resort then handed us the keys to a room that was already OCCUPIED! Seriously—they gave us access to a complete stranger's space. We were lucky the guests weren't present, but the thought of that privacy breach is sickening. This pathetic attempt at customer service completely ruined what was supposed to be a celebration of a life milestone. Given my fantastic past experience here, this was a truly shocking and disappointing disaster. Never again. There was clear lack of coordination among the team members because multiple representatives gave us different information that contradicted what was originally committed. The bar hours that are advertised are not respected. The bars are expected to close at 1am but by 12:15 we were asked to leave. We thought it was a one night occurrence but it was a common theme throughout the entire week. Although it’s slow season for them, the hotel is “operating as in full capacity” but given the services I don’t believe so.

My stay at Finest Punta Cana was in many ways memorable — the resort delivers on style, ambience, and service, though there are a few caveats. Overall, it’s a beautiful escape (especially for families) and offers a lot — but some details could use fine‐tuning. What impressed Atmosphere, Design & Property The resort is visually stunning. Architecturally modern, clean lines, tasteful décor, lush landscaping, and well‑designed common areas make it feel fresh and luxurious. The beach and pools are a highlight. Whether you’re in the family section or the adult‑only Excellence Club, there are multiple pools, swim‑up bars, and clean lounging areas. The rooms are well appointed. Spacious, modern fixtures, often with nice views, balconies, some with plunge pools or swim‑ups for a more private feeling. Service & Staff Staff members get many kudos, special thanks to Ivan Castillo (front desk Finest club) Adney and Jonathan (from the Gusto restaurant). From arrival to departure, warm, attentive service — friendly, helpful, often going the extra mile. Cleanliness & maintenance are generally good: well‑kept common areas, clean rooms, crisp landscaping, and pride in appearance. Amenities & Family‑Friendly Features Lots of pools, bars, restaurants, activities. There’s something for most ages — kids’ clubs, playgrounds. Many thanks to the ladies at the kids club (Ana, Esdras) who take good care of the children with different activities each day! Excellent restaurants & variety of food options, especially if you fall under the Excellence or Finest Club tiers. Some specialty restaurants are quite good. Value for What You Get The resort feels like it delivers more than just “beach + pool”; the variety, décor, staff & overall environment elevate the price. If you swing for the higher‑end rooms or Club/Excellence upgrades, you really feel it.

FYI - Kids water park closed “for a leak”. No idea when it will open. No notice it was closed before arriving. 1/2 restaurants open because it’s slow season (despite it being US school fall break) without notice. Hibatchi & steak restaurants only open one night we are here, out of 6 nights. Ocean gross. Dark water with plastic trash in it. Room services brings you whatever they feel like regardless of what you order.
