Finest Punta Cana

My experience was amazing. The workers there are absolutely so kind and make sure you are taken care of all the time. Some of the workers like Xavier, Johan, Soledad, Humberto, Mary, Wilkins, Yajaira, and Richard provided the best service I could have asked for. They are amazing at what they do!!!!!

Wife Birthday and she had an amazing time. Very satisfying. Food was amazing staff was amazing. The resort was beautiful and clean and we really had no complaints

Our family had a fantastic time at Finest Punta Cana. I could not imagine a better location for the first time taking our whole family to an AI. My husband and I have been to the adult only excellence resorts and wanted to try to bring the whole family, and we are so glad we did. We booked the imperial suite. I was a little skeptical because I kept reading that the imperial experience is not the same from the adult resorts, but that could not be further from the truth. Rosa was our concierge and she catered to our every need. She made our dinner reservations, sent treats for my kids and checked in with us multiple times a day. I would consider myself needy, and she had no problems meeting our needs. I feel like we got even extra perks than we have before. We got the beach dinner and the deluxe floating breakfast. The bartender experience was really fun too, even for the kids. The room itself was perfect for our family of 5. My kids are 5,7,9. They all slept in the second bedroom and having the extra bathroom was a game changer. The view from the balcony was stunning. I would sneak out there every morning before the kids woke up to read and it was the perfect way to start my day. My mom came with us and booked the oceanfront suite with a private pool. She used the pool a ton, but the kids mostly wanted to be at the main pool. Both suites were meticulously cleaned before we got there and Maria ensured they stayed clean everyday. She was so sweet and hunted all around the room, until she was able to locate my mom’s reading glasses that had fallen into a small crack behind the bed. We managed to break a glass, break a lamp and track tons of sand (I dont know what is wrong with us), and the resort never shamed us, they just got it all cleaned up very quickly. The standout of our week was the kids club. The wonderful young ladies in there were so good with my kids. My kids BEGGED to go daily and never wanted to leave. I would have to drag them out because I did want to spend some time with them. They did hair braiding, nails, bracelets, hat making, etc. I could go on and on. Tania, Ozaydy, Marianny, Glenis, and Ana made the week so special. They were quick to respond when I would check in through WhatsApp and really made the experience great. The resort felt really safe. I had no concerns with my 9 year old having some independence and navigating a few places by herself. Having the kids club lounges next to the restaurants was also a great idea. We didn’t have a meal we didn’t like. Finest was willing to bring my kids chicken nuggets even when they were not on the menu. The spaghetti at Inseime was a big hit with the kids. Gusto and Brass were the standout meals for the adults, but I wouldn’t skip Lizo or Insieme either. Everyone was able to find something at each restaurant and if you didn’t, they worked with you until you found something you liked. I am not sure why people sometimes complain about the food. I guess everyone has different tastes, but I feel like a foodie, and I really enjoyed every dish. The spa deserves a shout out as well. My older girls did the massage and facials. They were nervous because they have never done anything like that, and the massage therapists made them feel comfortable. The girls felt so pampered and it ended up being such a special time. My husband and I did the hydro therapy a few times. We always love the circuits and this was no different. The spa felt clean, calming and welcoming. My mom did a 75 minute massage, but it felt like she was there for longer, Oscar was her therapist and she said it was one of the best massages she has had. She is incredibly picky so I was shocked to hear her say that. The pool and beach were great. No chair game at all. It felt like the staff were falling over themselves to make sure we had towels and drinks. Everyone was incredibly friendly and willing to meet any request. The lifeguard even helped when my son was throwing a tantrum at the blob. It was great. I was nervous the blob would not be enough for my kids, but it entertained them constantly. My husband and I even went on it quite a few times. Tons of fun! We almost booked Hyatt Cap Cana for the water park, and I am so glad we did not because their water park was closed this week. I will not under estimate the blob ever again. The resort felt like maybe it was at low capacity, but there were times when the restaurants and pools were really busy. I’m not sure where everyone hides. The kids did make friends at the blob and kids club and that was great. We already booked our next trip before we left. I was nervous about the reviews going into this trip, and my expectations were blown away. Of course there are little things we could probably nit pick, but we were truly surrounded by paradise and not much could bother us.

This is probably going to be a long review, but this property is worth it! I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Finest Punta Cana from September 13–19, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. First, I highly recommend booking the Excellence Club if you can afford it — it's the adults-only side of the resort. I didn't bring any kids, so I can't speak to the family side of the resort or the Finest Club option, but if you're traveling without children, the Excellence Club is absolutely the way to go! I booked my stay directly through the Excellence website, and after talking to others who booked through a third party, going direct was definitely the right call. My package included transportation to and from the airport, and they could not have made it easier or more comfortable. It was easy to find the counter they directed me to in the confirmation email. The staff at Seasons Tour was fantastic — they took my bags, walked me directly to my private SUV, and had an air-conditioned Chevy Tahoe and cold water waiting for me. It was about a 40-minute ride, made very comfortable by my driver, Emmanuel. Getting to the resort truly could not have been easier. Upon arrival, the bell staff took my luggage and gave me a claim ticket, letting me know my bags would be brought directly to my room. They had a cold towel waiting when I got out of the car, and I was escorted to the Excellence Club for check-in. I had paid for a specific room, and that charge was processed at check-in. The $500 deposit hold came next — and since it was the same vendor charging my card twice in quick succession, my bank declined it. Given that it was a Sunday and I couldn't call my bank, the staff graciously allowed me to check in and put the deposit hold through the next day. One important note: the deposit is purely a security hold. If you charge anything to the room — spa services, extra alcohol, etc. — those charges are billed separately at checkout. As long as nothing in the room is damaged or missing when you leave, you get the full $500 back. After checking in, I was escorted to my room where my luggage was already waiting. The bellman walked me through all the amenities and made it very clear that everything in the minibar — including the full bottles of alcohol — was complimentary. They truly want you to make the most of your experience! Walking into the room was just a taste of how great the rest of my stay would be. I booked the Junior Swim-Up Suite, and it was incredible. I walked into a clean, modernly decorated room with marble floors, a comfortable sofa, a large closet, and an even larger bathroom. As a plus-size woman, I especially appreciated the walk-in shower with two showerheads and a separate water closet. The room was beautifully staged with a bottle of champagne on ice and rose petals on the bed. Outside, there was a daybed, a small patio table and chairs, two loungers, and a tucked-away bed for a bit of privacy. The private swim-up area featured a large hammock and a good-sized pool. I had assumed the swim-up suite connected directly to the Excellence pool — it doesn't — but the Excellence pool was close enough that it really didn't make much of a difference. I know some reviews say the food isn't great — I disagree. I enjoyed pretty much everything I had. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. I did visit during the off-season, so not every restaurant was open every night, and the buffet was only available for breakfast. But with a little pre-planning, I was able to visit every restaurant I wanted. My highlights were Brass, Dommo, and the Sweet Corner. One thing to keep in mind: if you're expecting your pizza to taste exactly like it does back home, or for the syrup and milk to be identical, you might be disappointed. But if you go in understanding you're in a different country and embrace that, you'll be very happy with the food. Now for the highlight of my trip: the staff! Every single staff member I encountered was wonderful — always smiling and greeting me with a warm "Buenos días." I wish I could write about every one of them, but since I can only speak to those I personally interacted with, here are the standouts — and there were many: Wilkins at the Sunset Bar — his service and smile lit up my day, every day. He was kind, remembered what I liked to order, and was always prompt in bringing my drinks and food. Humberto at the Sunset Bar — makes a MEAN drink, always served with a side of fun and laughter! Xavier on the entertainment team — he was the energy behind the fun at the pool every day. Always laughing, joking, and smiling, you could tell he genuinely loved his job and was committed to making sure everyone had a great time. Domingo on the entertainment team — same as Xavier: always keeping the fun going, full of jokes and laughter, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a good time. Anny at the Sweet Corner — always had a smile on her face, remembered my very specific drink order, and was a joy to chat with every morning over coffee. Javier, Entertainment Supervisor — you can tell he takes his role seriously. He makes sure everyone is having an amazing time, and he is everywhere. You'll spot him at one pool, then the next, then at the daytime events, then the evening shows, all the way through to the end of the Silent Disco Glow Party. If you're not having a good time, Javier will find a way to make sure you do! Mary at the One Spa — she performed my Relaxation Ritual, and I was relaxed. She was so sweet, the massage was incredible, and she made sure I was completely comfortable throughout. I wish I could write a full paragraph about everyone, but you'd be reading this for days!
