Finest Punta Cana

We had an amazing time at Finest Punta Cana! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was fantastic. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and extremely clean, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. They truly made us feel welcome and special throughout the entire vacation. We also had the opportunity to meet the director, Antonio Madrid, who was very attentive to our stay and made sure everything was perfect for us. It was wonderful to see such genuine care and attention from the leadership team. This was a truly memorable experience, and we are already promising ourselves that we will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

I had no expectations as I resisted researching the property or destination before our visit. What followed for the next few days was absolute bliss. It solidified our desire to return to Finest next year. Here's why. This is our third all-inclusive experience (Grand Velas in Puerto Vallarta and Barcelo in Aruba), but this one was a cut above, not just because of the facilities, the cleanliness, the access to a beautiful beach, and other amenities. What won us over were the people and the service. Everywhere we went and looked, a Finest employee smiled and greeted us. Without exception. I wish I could write down everyone's name, but here are some of the excellent staff I'd like to give a shout out to: Luis who served us dinner at the Club, Wilson who made amazing drinks and conversation at the main pool swim up bar, all the servers during dinner at The Melting Pot on 4/8, Wellington who was the beach concierge for the Club section, Samuel in the Market Kitchen who brightened the vibe of the room with his sunny smile and wonderful words, Mary, the trainee employee who was our hostess for the Club breakfast, Aney, our server for breakfast, also in the Club room, Jeremias in the Club reception, who both checked us in and out of the hotel, Alexa in the club reception who was so sweet about answering out questions both on and off the phone, Flori in the Sweet Corner who served the most mouthwatering coffees, and Demesis Salvador, the wonderful on-call doctor who attended to my broken nail with calm and precision, even when an unruly and rude hotel guest decided to come into the consultation room and demand a bag for ice without waiting his turn? I could go on forever, but I wanted to reiterate that people make the destination and experience, and Finest excelled our expectations. Additionally, our beachfront suite was out of this world as was the punctuality of our taxi and the arrival of the bellboy to our room for our luggage. Thank you for giving us such a positive and warm welcome to DR and as I said, we will be back.

We just returned from another incredible stay at Finest Punta Cana, and once again, the people made it unforgettable. This was our fourth time visiting a Finest property—two stays in Mexico and now our second time in Punta Cana—and the consistency is remarkable. The grounds are always exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and the staff is consistently outstanding across every location. A very special thank you to Yvon at the Finest Club Beach—he is truly exceptional. This is our second year seeing him, and he treats our family like his own. He always goes above and beyond, anticipating our needs before we even ask. The level of care and attention he provides is that of a manager, and he genuinely makes you feel like a VIP every single day. Yayson (pronounced Jason) at the Finest club beach also deserves huge recognition. He went out of his way to make sure our family—especially our kids—had everything they needed, from tracking down specific juices to arranging food just the way they like it. That kind of attentiveness makes all the difference when traveling with children. It was such a wonderful surprise to see Cassandra again! She’s now at the theater bar, and just as we remembered, she is warm, engaging, and so thoughtful. She took amazing care of our family last year at the beach, and it was so nice to reconnect with her. Albert at the Finest Club bar is another standout—professional, attentive, and always going the extra mile to ensure we were well taken care of. We even joked that he deserves a promotion! Javier with Entertainment (maybe kids club too??) was a standout for my kids. Always sought them out at night to give them hugs and high fives and to make sure they were having fun. The entire team is fantastic, especially with children, and truly understands what it means to deliver exceptional service. Experiences like this are why we keep coming back—we will absolutely be returning for a fifth visit!

They say to never meet your heroes. Alexander met his the day before Easter, 2026. Earlier that day, I landed in the Dominican Republic, eager to get the kids to the resort so I could hit the pool and ignore them for the next six days. I strutted down there, and within 30 seconds, Alex “El Diablo” [last name redacted] was asking if I needed a beer and a shot. I wish there were more to this story, but that’s about all I can recall as I write this review seven days later. From the photos, it appears I had a heck of a time and taught El Diablo a lot about binge drinking. Okay, okay, okay, here’s the real review. For the past six spring breaks, the kids and I have done a Western Hemisphere all-inclusive. Most have been in that $400 – $650 a-night sweet spot, like Finest Punta Cana. And let me tell you, this place hits like a $1,000 a-night resort. The fit and finish of the rooms are outstanding, and the landscaping and grounds are constantly being perfected. You won’t see a single piece of trash anywhere, no matter the time of day or night. The beach is picture-perfect by 7 a.m. every morning, and the walks in either direction are safe and non-sketchy for miles. Enough about the basics — let’s talk about El Diablo and the Party Crew. Near the big blue blob at the main pool, you’ll find a swim-up bar. Living in this magical watering hole are Alexander, Wilson, Victor, Lendy, José Miguel, Oscar, and Miguelina. Make friends with these people early in your vacation, and you’ll unlock diamond-level VIP status. Beers will grow wings and glide into your hand. Lounge chairs will reserve themselves. Towels will feel softer. The sun will lean just enough to keep the glare out of your eyes. I even sprained my ankle playing basketball with the kids, and a bag of ice appeared out of nowhere (that one’s true!). This bar staff is as good as you’ll find anywhere — honestly, they should be running the entire resort, and probably will be by the time we’re back next spring break. Thanks for an amazing vacation.
