A gem resort of Dominican Republic. Luxury hotel with good food options and other amenities. We hade a great time with the family and will definitely be back in the future. We went to the Dominican Republic a few times and this has to be our favorite resort

We recently returned from our second stay at The Finest Punta Cana, traveling with grandparents and two children (ages 3 and 7). Overall, it was another beautiful vacation with perfect weather, friendly staff, and a resort layout that really works for multi-generational families. While there are still a few areas that could use improvement, this is a solid pick for families looking for both luxury and flexibility. Family-Friendly Suites & Pools: One of the best features here is the family suites with private pools — a total game-changer when traveling with young kids. Having our own space to swim and relax made nap schedules, early mornings, and even quiet afternoons much easier to manage. The resort is well-maintained and visually stunning, with lush landscaping and sparkling clean facilities throughout. Food & Dining: We noticed a definite improvement in the food since our 2023 visit, so kudos to the resort for listening to guest feedback. That said, there’s still room for growth in flavor consistency and variety. A huge thank-you to Filomena, who helped us navigate the often confusing process of booking restaurant reservations. I wish the resort allowed you to book specialty restaurants through the app — that would make things much easier and more intuitive. Extras for Families: If you’re staying with a baby or toddler, definitely ask the front desk for crib rail covers for the pack-and-plays. We saw other rooms with them, and they’re hotel-provided. It’s a thoughtful touch that keeps things cleaner and more comfortable for little ones. The beach has vendors selling beach toys, which is great if you don’t want to pack your own. Families were also generous about sharing floats and pool toys, which created a fun, friendly atmosphere. You can get hair braiding done on the beach or at the spa — it’s cheaper and more fun on the beach, especially for children. Kids Club Feedback: The Kids Club is clean and bright and the water features are fabulous, but it didn’t quite work for our family. My kids weren’t interested in staying, and supervision felt a bit light. The activities were underwhelming, particularly for older children. I’d love to see a more structured, activity-based camp for kids ages 7 and up — even if it came at an extra cost. If you’re traveling with younger children, you might consider hiring a nanny through the resort to accompany them. Personally, I wouldn’t leave a very young child there without 1:1 attention. Other Highlights: Some restaurants offer cooking shows, I recommend the reservation to mix things up! We also had a wonderful mini photo session with the resort photographer. While you can’t book this through the app (you have to call), the team was very flexible and accommodating — we didn’t want a full hour and they were happy to adjust. Pro tip for parents: Bring a zinc sunscreen stick! Nearly every child we saw — including ours — ended up with red “raccoon” eyes from the strong Caribbean sun. Final Thoughts: The Finest Punta Cana is a well-rounded resort with standout offerings for families — especially in terms of suites, pools, and beautiful surroundings. While food and childcare options could be improved, the genuine warmth of the staff, the relaxing atmosphere, and the amazing rooms make it easy to recommend. Bring extra cash for tipping — it’s appreciated here and well-deserved. Would we return? Yes, with a few expectations managed. It

Wife and I went on this trip with just us for the first time in 22 years. She spent hours of time researching resorts and we settled on this one. Mainly for the type of room we got and the adults only side. The room had its own jacuzzi tub in the room, facing the resort. Also, we had a small swim out area. We had plenty of amenities (drinks and fruit) in the room as well. The weather was great all week long. We spent most of our time during the day at the main pool. All of the bar staff took very good care of us all week. All of the staff at the restaurants we enjoyed took care of us as well. Overall, the staff of the entire resort was great and very appreciative of us being there. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking.

Food was amazing at Gusto restaurant. Breakfast and Dinner. All great menus. We had 2 young grandchildren. 2 and 3 years old, a little hard time to eat together but staffs are good at handling the situation. Even the white wine was so good and bought one when I came home to New York. Fully satisfied by staffs. Thanks, Johnny and Adrian. Appreciate hospitality. Leo Yeo.CEO from NYC.
