Finest Punta Cana

We loved our waiter Kevin from the market at breakfast (remembering our drink orders and Green grapes for our kids) and also was our waiter at Surf and Turf (dinner) which he made incredible with a family style meal with tons of fresh fish. Flour was also so friendly in the coffee shop and remembered our daughter’s name!!

Great experience. Definitely recommend. Only negative was the amount of sea weed in the water and on the beach. The pool served the purpose and the ocean view was still amazing despite the seaweed.

The staff at Finest Punta Cana is truly what makes this resort worth visiting. Eduardo at Dommo restaurant is a 10/10 — the definition of true hospitality. Carolina at the ONE Spa has hands of an angel, absolutely unforgettable. The pool bartender and Market Kitchen staff were equally exceptional. The entire team is warm, funny, and genuinely caring — you leave feeling like family. However, there are real issues the resort needs to address. The check-in concierge was unprofessional — he debated with us about food culture, promised to follow up on our room request and never did, and left us in a room facing a sargassum and trash dump area, despite us offering to pay the difference for an ocean view — and the hotel was only 50% occupied. The main pool has a serious bird sanitation problem — birds were constantly defecating in the water throughout the day. This is a health hazard, especially for children. The ONE Spa is world class. The food variety is excellent, however the resort needs an authentic Dominican restaurant. Multiple guests were asking chefs for mangú and traditional Dominican dishes that were not available. While there is one beautiful night dedicated to Dominican culture and tradition, it would be incredible to have authentic Dominican cuisine available restaurant-style a few nights a week — just like their other specialty restaurants. Tourists come here to experience Dominican culture and this would make the resort truly unique. Would I return? Yes — because of the staff. But management needs to match the excellence of their team.

Overall great stay. Very nice resort and grounds. Pools were great for kids and there is a nice water slide area which is perfect for toddlers. The “blob” was also a great hit. The only downside was some of the food wasn’t amazing but we were generally able to find something decent at every meal.
