Hotel Workers make this trip worthwhile!!

Just got back from a six day trip. Everything was perfect! Originally we were in building five, which was noisy due to the nighttime entertainment, so I went down to the front desk to express my concern and they immediately changed our room to building six which was so quiet and beautiful! Pool/ocean view. The breakfast in the morning at the buffet was the best food we ate at the resort all week. It was incredible. A big shout out to the hostess. I wish I got her name. She was so sweet. I don’t know how I remembered my name and our room number every day. I didn’t have to tell her she already knew and I shout it out to our beach servers especially one in particular he was amazing. You would never have to wait for a drink. They’re constantly coming up to you asking for your order and you have it within minutes. I took a picture of him this morning before we left. All around was just an amazing time. Incredible. You cannot go wrong with this hotel.

I do not have 100 characters to put in this. But it was an earned work trip and we had a great time. Absolutely beautiful place. Employees were awesome!

Time for management to regroup

This facility is the absolute worst We are in a room directly above the stage. I told the guy showing us our room that I did not want to be here because I didn’t want to hear the noise. He flat out lied saying once the heavy door was closed you couldn’t hear. I’m currently being blasted with loud music. There was an emergency our snorkeling trip. instead our “captain” informing us folks in the water, he tells us all to move so he can turn the boat around and leaves 30 people out in the water for 1.5 hours. They tried to get us to board another boat to get back to the resort but all our belongings including room keys, purses, phones etc were on original boat. So we sat in the water, cold, hungry and getting sunburned. What major resort doesn’t have an emergency plan in place? We had two banquet dinners here. Food was absolutely gross. Do not book here

I enjoyed two nights/three days at the Zilara over Thanksgiving and found it to be the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. The rooms are modern and spacious (although the term "suite" is used loosely), with huge bathrooms, a well-thought-out closet and large balcony. The mini-bar offerings were kind of sad (M&Ms, tiny cans of beer and a couple of Cokes). Some of the decor in the room and throughout the resort looks like reclaimed plastic-- great idea, but so-so execution.

The buffet was full of delicious, unexpected delights and thankfully, not self-service. The French/Tahitian Brando's is worth the wait and don't miss the ceviche. The steakhouse Waves offers al fresco dining and my steak was perfect. The spa is out of this world. They have a large thermal circuit which is well worth the extra charge. A therapist manages your circuit and walks you from experience to experience. As a result, I did everything, and in the order it was intended. The public spaces are wonderfully designed and easy to navigate.

There are activities throughout the day, much like a cruise. It was fun to watch people doing cross-fit in the pool while I sipped my mimosa. Speaking of which, the pool service was attentive, which I didn't expect at an all-inclusive. Overall, drink quality was better than expected -- premium, but not top-shelf. Upgrading to the Club level is worth if if you want top-shelf liquor, as well as exclusive restaurants and pool. Unfortunately, the service did not extend to the beach, where it was impossible to get a drink and it looked like a gang of spring breakers had just departed after a kegger. Overall, great for people who want to relax without kids around, but also want the option to "do things" -- who like to drink and eat and not have to worry about the bill.
