Vacation
We had a great experience from check-in through check-out. The staff was cordial and very professional. The food was excellent at several of the restaurants. I also had the chance to meet the management team, and it’s clear they uphold high quality standards for every guest. I’m very pleased with our stay and will definitely recommend this resort to friends and family.

They have roaches!!
The resort itself is beautiful. The beach is kept clean. The food was really good at the restaurants and the buffet. However all of this was negated because this property has roaches. Not large water bugs but actual roaches 🪳🪳🪳🪳. I saw another review showing this and should have viewed it before staying. We were so paranoid we would bring back roaches with us we shook everything out before leaving the property. We addressed it with the front desk who then directed us to guest services. All they did was have the room cleaned again and sprayed. No compensation. We emailed their customer care team after the trip. They first needed proof which thankfully we took a video and photo of the first roach we saw. They then said there was no record of the incident at the hotel and denied any compensation since in their words this is typical for tropical places. Untrue I’ve never encountered roaches in any resort I’ve stayed at! They then researched more and found I did report the incident but said my reservation was under some type of complimentary stay. I then said this is false I paid nearly $4000 for my 2 rooms and at this point I feel like you all are making up excuses to not compensate me. They then came back and said sorry again you are correct. There final decision was to give me an upgrade for a future reservation. If you think I will ever stay at another Melia property you are sadly mistaken! This was the first and absolutely the last time! This brand is not trustworthy. Nobody spends thousands to share a room with roaches! This site won’t allow me to upload my video unfortunately.
