Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa

My original review, posted on June 7th., gave a list of problems that we'd encountered during our two week stay in May. Since then we've had an exchange of emails and phone calls with Jean Carlos Rivera at Secrets who has been very helpful in ensuring that our observations and complaints have been resolved amicably, and that our concerns have been acted upon. We have nothing but praise for the way in which Secrets responded and in particular Jean Carlos.

The staff were the best and made sure we had everything we needed. The whole entertainment team were awesome and made us feel like family. La Diva, Ice Cube, Jhon Cena, Rihanna, Diamond, Barbie, and Johnny Walker made sure everyone was having a good time and kept us very entertained our whole trip. We will definitely be making a return trip in the future.

The hotel was nice and had decently average food. The drinks were great and the staff was wonderful. Even the massage was really great. The one downfall that will make me never go to a secret resort again is them hassling you to buy a vacation package. At check-in, we got a whole long spill with someone talking very fast and we weren’t sure what was happening but we Unknowingly signing up for a breakfast where they could pitch this vacation package. They offered a massage and so we showed up and they toldus no less than 12 times all they needed was a simple yes or no at the end. We ended up talking with about six different people, and in the end, we told them no over 15 times. They still would not take no for an answer, we had to stand up and say we are walking out. Did we get our Massage certificates? Yes. We waited on them while they stared us down because we said no to the vacation package. This ruined the first part of our first day at the resort. This is supposed to be a luxury hotel, and this was not a luxurious experience.

We have visited Secrets Cap Cana twice now. We have been fortunate enough, both times, to have Carlos Javier as our butler. He is amazing. He makes sure everything is perfect, from great seating at the restaurants to fine touches with rose petals and champagne for our anniversary evening to making sure we have enough Milky Ways and Pringles!!! If you are fortunate enough visit Secrets Cap Cana, be sure to ask for Carlos!!

The experience was very amazing from the moment I walked into service was great. They upgraded our room to a nice pool view, which was right in the epicenter of everything the personal but was on point we had a text means to communicate with him. He set up our reservations for Resturant so that was amazing. The service this is the second time at secrets. We went to the one in Cancun and it was. It did not disappoint at all. I was a bit disappointed when I walked in the room. The smell in the room wasn’t given hotel. That was my biggest negative about the room. I think they could work on adding some fragrance in the room when I second negative that about this resort it was very, very heavy with the seaweed and we could not go into the beach at all I did not get to enjoy that experience so I was very disappointed with that the third negative for me which is it’s small but it’s not a big deal but I think that this is something they could improve on is the wine glasses and the glasses that they used to serve the drinks at the bars by the pool and the beach they could do with I know they’re hard plastic and sometimes depending on what kind of drinks you’re putting in a cup, they stain in the cups, but they need to change them more often because for a five diamond experience it wasn’t given five diamond when it came to that overall I would definitely visit another secret resort like I said secrets has meet with their service. They are top-tier with that the downside with secrets for me though is if you’re looking for entertainment off the walls, this is not that place and to be honest with you. I think secrets could do more with their entertainment. They had karaoke and a Latino night, but I think for a younger demographic, they could do better with the entertainment that they have so that’s that’s the same complaint. I have in Mexico and it’s the same thing here with the cap Kong the entertainment wasn’t made so overall I would break my secret experience 7.5 for those things but I think it could easily be 10 but like I said service is always going to be the Best At secrets
