Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa

Highly disappointed in the resort not telling you that the preferred lounge was going to be closed and a couple of days later the Rosewater preferred restaurant was closed and the preferred pool was halfway closed. Yes they stayed open with construction going on in one end of the pool. The spa was only half way open as many therapeutic jets were not working . Our friends paid for all of us couples to use hydro jets and spa area for the week but weren’t told it wasn’t working. The rooms need updating desperately. When you book and pay for preferred but the facilities are closed I think is very dishonest. Our butler was fabulous and I felt sorry for him that this resort is not up to par for what you pay. The staff is some of the best that we’ve had and we’ve been to many resorts in the Dominican. I noticed a review below very similar to mine and same time period. The resort response is pretty much a copy and paste from an email I received and from the social media manager. I would skip this resort until they come in and get it updated. Two out of the three rooms we got, the air conditioning wasn’t working good. They moved one couple to another room. They both had so much condensation in their rooms they brought them humidifiers. One reason is, when the hurricane came, it took the roofs off the top floor and we were told they decided not to replace the roofs so it’s open on the patio. Skip this resort, there are two many other great places to stay.

Loved the experience at Secret Cana, all the services provided from the staff were first class service. A great resort to rest,disconnect and enjoy yourself. Rooms were comfortable and very clean!

We had a great time! The pool was absolutely amazing, the service was great, and the dinners were top notch. I’m not exaggerating when I say I had the best piece of fish I’ve ever eaten at the Italian restaurant. The only real downside was not being able to get in the ocean because of the sargassum, but obviously that’s not the resort’s fault. Mother Nature wasn’t exactly cooperating with us on that one. Our concierge, Ericson, was awesome. He was friendly, helpful, and most importantly, not pushy, which I really appreciated. He answered every dumb question I came up with during our stay and somehow managed to do it with a smile every time. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back!

Beautiful resort, amazing food, great accommodations. The staff were so friendly and helpful our entire stay. Highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to get away but also stay active and enjoy some time to relax and unwind. The resort and rooms are VERY clean.

We had a great time on out Honeymoon! There was so much to do, the weather was great and the resort was amazing! We were there or 12 days and I wished we had 12 more! We were never bored and the staff was amazing!
