Let me start with the positive. Hotel is beautiful, service is fantastic, beach is gorgeous with soft sand and mostly gentle surf. I did a great deal of research before booking and reviews were mostly positive on everything including food. The food was not good. I have stayed at 17 all inclusives from basic to deluxe and never have I complained about food. Breakfast at preferred restaurant Oceana was excellent, everything else was meh or just plain bad. So disappointed because other than food it was perfect.

As we sit waiting for our ride to the airport to go home, we just want to say how special our stay at Secrets Cap Cana has been. One of the nicest, most luxurious resorts in the Secrets brand. But it wouldn't be what it is without the genuine kindness and warmth of the staff. Sorry for the long list of the special recognition for so many of the staff here but they all deserve it: Runique-UVC concierge-we followed him from Jamaica and he really cares about making his clients feel like they are at home, going above and beyond at every turn. Ricardo-our butler that took care of everything from reservations, constant communication, finding us pool floats and making everyday start with his bright smile and genuine caring all day long. Seaside grill Hostess Laura Cristina server Juan and Rafael at the main pool-helping with finding the perfect location even if we were not in their section and making sure the towels and umbrella were always in the perfect spot. Rafael, thanks for introducing me to my new friend Leyenda David and Miguel at preferred club bar-so friendly and make the most delicious cocktails Jery lobby bar Madely pool service Wilfredo waiter at portofino Juan Carlos waiter Carlos watersports/catamaran-took us out on catamaran and even made sure to find some sea turtles swimming by Santa, Jojo and Glenis at preferred pool-drinks were always full Rosewater-breakfast and lunch were fabulous, especially Alberto Guido chef at preferred beach-a talented chef and great guy(try the paella) Yogenis at himitsu server Jhon cena, Rihanna with entertainment -kept the party rolling with smiles and amazing personalities. So many great memories and cannot wait to return to this amazing resort and the amazing people.

Secrets Cap Cana is a beautiful resort that offers delicious food, top notch drinks and an amazing beach. It was in the 80's in March and the weather was perfect. The water is a beautiful blue. There is plenty of shade cabanas at the pool and the beach, which we really appreciated. The staff is second to none with the joyful attitudes and tremendous service. We highly recommend this resort.

BUYER BEWARE! We went here with a bunch of friends to celebrate a 60 th Birthday, 15th Anniversary! The property was beautiful and staff was great! This is a Hyatt Top Resort. We were given bad sushi on our 4th night here! There were 5 people who were sick for at least 24 hrs, some 48 hrs. I unfortunately was sick for 5 days, diarrhea, nausea, stomach flips! I just couldn’t get straight. It ruined the last 3 nights & 4 days of our vacation. I reported this on the way out Sunday to the man who checked me in. He wrote it down an said he would report this to management. I waited until I was home, still sick for 2 days after returning. I sent in a private message to the resort management, hoping to at least recover the 3 nights and 4 days of misery. They offered me “a free upgrade”! For what they charge here, that’s a slap in the face! I have personally been in the food business for over 30 yrs! Hyatt has a duty to Practice Food Safety!! I get that everyone has an “Off Day”! I was answered with “ policies and procedures”, etc! Bull Crap! Someone didn’t do their job! Point Blank! They have issues here and basically refused to own them or at least compensate me for lost time. It wasn’t like I asked for A WEEK and AIRFARE!! I asked for what I LOST, 3 nights, and 4 days. I offered to Pay For The Airfare and to Extend For The Week on My Dime!! NO Was Their Answer!! I am serve safe qualified!! I have been in food sales for over 30 years! I have never been so disrespected in my LIFE! I didn’t want to drop this review on them but they Deserve every word!! Hyatt should be More Food Safety Forward because they are an American Company!! I was surprised to get the “ Ali Rope A Dope”! Be careful!! Hyatt Doesn’t Care About YOU!!
