Secrets Tides Punta Cana

My wife and I took a couples trip to Secrets Tides in the DR. It was a fantastic place to stay. They staff was extremely nice and welcoming throught the entire trip. I would like to give an extra thanks to Alexis, he made our stay at Tides super fun!!! We hope this becomes an annual trip.

The resort was nice and pretty new. The grounds and pools were excellent and the rooms nice. Where it lacked was the food. I would say most of the meals were like airline business class food. Some meals were inedible. I would like to shout out to our butler Jeury. He was great and right there with anything we needed. Also Alex the bartender in the Preferred Club Lounge made the best drinks!!

You’re approximately an hour away from the airport. The resort itself is gorgeous. We are members and expected early check-in, and late checkout which we did not receive. Our dine in breakfast was definitely a disappointment. There needs to be shade over the hydrotherapy area. And some of the staff …I don’t know how to explain it, but my husband and I felt uncomfortable at times. Me and my husband have been married 38 years. All we want is to be able to find a place in June where we can celebrate us!

One of the best AI experiences I've had! Maybe because it's adults only but also because it's catered to more 'mature' crowd, I loved it! Overall: Beautiful, new, great beach, great restaurants and food. Loved the pools and things to do and the service/people was awesome! We did not do the Preferred Club and still found that everything was just as great. Although those rooms have their own pool etc, it's kinda small. And the idea that it's facing the beach is nice but it's far from the restaurants and main lobby where the entertainment at night is. Rooms - 6/5. LOVED the room. We got a swim out and it did not disappoint! We had 3 ppl in the room so they set up an extra bed for us. It is NOT a pull out sofa bed but an actual bed. So I slept great! Only thing is, it's probably a bit on the smaller side. I'm tiny so I had no issues. Not sure about others. But if you really want, the actual beds were large enough to sleep 2 ppl. We just didn't want to share. Room was pretty spacious (to fit an extra bed). Pools - 5/5. Quiet, lots of chairs. Split into 2 sections, one with entertainment and things to do and one that you can just chill at. Restaurant and Food - 4.5/5. The buffet food and selection were amazing! Tried out the Jap & Teppanyaki , Italian and Seafood a la carts and they were great. Only thing loss of mark was the Italian pizza crust was a bit thick and the jap food/sushi was meh. But nothing to really be upset about. Atmosphere - 5/5. They had daily activities that kept you busy. Most of them allowed you to make things that you can take away like souvenirs. We loved it! Some of the times they actually hired outside folks to do these things. Like explaining about certain teas and what they do or special stones that are only native to DR. Even the hat that we painted were not something cheapo. Definitely suggest trying one out. But be early. It's first come first serve and they try to accommodate as many ppl but it can still run out. Beach - 5/5. Beautiful waterfront. Lots of room/chairs to chill. You walk along the whole beach and it's so relaxing. They have early morning yoga.

Our stay was everything we could have imagined and more. Starting at our arrival we were greated like a royal family, cold towels and sparkling champagne. Our butler Milciades (Mici) was excellent we will always request him whenever we return. Then the entertainment crew Gregory, Chequira and Estephanie made our stay even more special they truly were THE PARTY , they kept us entertained and involved our entire stay! Lastly pool attendant Gisela,Rafaela were absolutely amazing, we never wanted for anything they exceeded our expectations. This has truly been one of the best vacations ever. This hotel has now become out number one go to destination resorts. Amazing, amazing, excellent 10 out of 10. We'll be returning with our family soon! Thank you for your hospitality!
