We just returned from an unforgettable 8 day stay at the Zel property with my wife and our three daughters, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, our concierge Ericson Mejia made us feel completely at home. He was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay. Ericson even pulled off several last-minute dinner reservations at the resort’s restaurants — he truly went above and beyond and made our visit seamless. The staff across the property were simply outstanding — friendly, hardworking, and genuinely eager to assist. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with smiles and hospitality that made us feel valued and cared for. The food was very good overall. Our favorite spot was the hibachi grill, which offered perfectly cooked rice, vegetables, steak, chicken, and shrimp. The buffet had a wide selection and was especially strong at breakfast. A couple of small suggestions: the juices and milk could be served colder in the mornings, and the buffet area could benefit from better air conditioning, as it was quite warm at times. We also enjoyed Tacorini, though we felt it could benefit from a clearer split between traditional Tex-Mex and Mediterranean dishes to better highlight both cuisines. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable — a perfect retreat after long days enjoying the resort. All in all, this was a wonderful property with incredible people. Highly recommended for families or couples looking to unwind and be treated like royalty. We’re already talking about when we can come back!

I stayed at Zel Punta Cana for 4 nights and had a great time. The hotel has this beautiful Mediterranean vibe that makes you feel relaxed the moment you arrive. The design, the atmosphere, and the overall energy of the place are so refreshing. The private hot tub on the balcony was definitely the best part of the room, and was my favorite place to hang out in the evenings. There was also never any issue getting a seat at the pool or beach, which I know can be a huge challenge at some resorts. All my meals at the restaurants were really good, and the staff was super accommodating to me being a vegetarian - every restaurant had multiple options. What really made my stay special was the incredible service, especially from my concierge, Ericson Mejia. He was very attentive, responsible, and quick to help with anything needed. He made sure everything went smoothly, and was always around to assist with a smile, and was quick to respond to any questions I had. For example, the first day my hot tub wasn’t working and he was able to get someone to come and fix it right away. The highlight of my trip was my graduation celebration, and Ericson completely surprised me by decorating the room! It was such a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly celebrated and appreciated. Overall, all the staff I interacted with were kind and helpful, from check in, to the restaurants, and the bar. On a few places where I think there’s room to improve: I agree with other comments about the buffet food - it was always a weird temperature despite being under heat lamps. Also, the quieter pool was pretty dirty with dead bugs etc. floating around, so I ended up switching to the main pool. In general, the resort was very quiet - maybe a little too quiet. There were some activities during both the day and evening but it felt a little devoid of stuff to do - not a bad thing if truly relaxing is your goal. Overall, I loved Zel, and will definitely return.

My family and l made the best out of the vacation. There was limited amenities and food options but a vacation location for older and elderly individuals.

I stayed at zel for three nights. It was such a pretty resort with friendly staff. There was alot of room for improvement with the food. The food lacked seasoning and they constantly ran out of stuff. The wellness activities were cool but often not set up for enough people.
