Zel Punta Cana

From the moment we arrived at Zel Punta Cana, we felt an immediate sense of relaxation. We were warmly welcomed, and throughout our 5-night stay, the exceptional service from our concierge, Ericson, along with the attentive and friendly staff, made the entire experience truly memorable from start to finish. The A La Carte restaurants are amazing and have great food and great service. Truly a relaxing stay at Zel Punta Cana.

Upfront disclosure I was here for work trip so company paid the bill so I can’t comment on the price/value. The room was very clean, nice and spacious. There were two jacuzzi tubs in my room, one inside and one of the terrace. Mini bar and coffee maker. The room decor was a bit of combo of Caribbean and vintage. There was even a record player in the room which was cool. Good shower pressure. Comfortable bed. The grounds were very nice. Many pools to choose from. They did play loud music all day and into the night which kind of killed some of the tranquil vibe I prefer. They have a beach club but it’s a 15 minute walk or short ride on hotel golf cart. Staff were cool. Now about the food. It was really disappointing. That much variety. Most of it was underwhelming. Ordering room service from a very limited menu and never getting what was described on the menu. There was something always missing. I can’t really say I had one meal during my week stay that I was happy about. Since I was here working I can’t comment on any activities. They do have a nice looking spa and gym on grounds with a few activities planned each day.

I had a wonderful time staying at this resort. I felt completely safe and everyone made me feel as if I was a part of a family. Carlos, my Assistant, he exceeded my expectations from everything he did to ensure that I had a safe stay and a happy birthday. I’ve never seen anything like it before, he’s such a great representation for this property. Will be returning soon.

The hotel is well-maintained and appears to be in good condition at present. However, I cannot recommend it due to its subpar food quality. The breakfast and lunch were mediocre, earning a rating of -5. Another reason I cannot recommend this hotel is its limited activities and entertainment options. This is purely a personal preference, and it may not be relevant to everyone. If you are not concerned about food and prefer a quiet and secluded location, this hotel could be suitable for you. Please note that access to the beach is only possible by walking 15 minutes or by waiting for a golf cart.

Beautiful grounds, well appointed rooms and, generally speaking, friendly and helpful staff. Restaurants need work, both in the kitchen and on the floor. Food quality inconsistent and not a great deal of variety. Staff sometimes seems more interested in entertaining themselves than taking care of their guests. I was there recovering from some cancer treatments so there wasn’t a lot I could eat anyway, grateful my wife wasn’t with me. All in all I enjoyed the trip but have to be honest in my assessment. One final word of advice, don’t use the ATM. I got hacked
