Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Secrets Bahía Mita September 11–15, 2026 A short trip to relax, recharge, and revive my soul a little after experiencing another pregnancy loss. ❤️‍🩹 We booked this stay through World of Hyatt rather than UVC this time, and overall, we still had a really fun and relaxing trip. One of my favorite parts of the resort was the 8th-floor Preferred Club rooftop pool and bar. The service was fantastic, the pool had a great atmosphere, and the lunch options were pretty good. We also took advantage of the spa up there and treated ourselves to massages, which was exactly what I needed! 🌮 The lunch taco spot was another favorite. The tacos were genuinely really good, and we found ourselves going back more than once. Overall, most of the restaurants had decent food. The one exception for us was the dinner buffet, which we weren’t particularly impressed with. I was a little disappointed with the activities and entertainment. They didn’t seem to be advertised very well, and there were often hardly any guests participating. I think the resort could do a better job of making guests aware of what’s happening throughout the day. There are SO many pools, which I loved! There were plenty of options depending on whether you wanted something quieter or more lively, and it never felt like we were struggling to find somewhere to relax. The beach is smaller than some of the other resorts we’ve stayed at, but it was still beautiful and enjoyable. One thing that took some getting used to was the elevator system. Certain elevators only go to certain floors, so it can be confusing when you first arrive. Once we figured out how to navigate the resort, it wasn’t a big deal, but it definitely took us a little while to get the hang of it. And I have to give a special shoutout to Omar at the Preferred Club bar! 🍹 He was such an awesome bartender and went above and beyond. Every night, he made me his own specialty drinks based on what he knew I liked. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our evenings even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fun, relaxing few days at Secrets Bahía Mita. It was exactly what we needed for a little getaway and some time to breathe, unwind, and recharge. ❤️‍🩹🌴 We would come back to this resort!

The food at Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa is outstanding. I pay attention to food, and every meal went well above what I expected from an all-inclusive. Nothing felt like typical resort cooking. Plates were well seasoned, properly cooked, and consistent from breakfast through dinner. Service was impeccable. Staff were attentive without hovering. The room was beautiful and the property is well maintained. The Preferred Club area was beautiful as well. It is an excellent getaway. The spa is 10 out of 10. The facility is beautiful and the treatment was outstanding. The pools, hot tub, and cold plunge alone are worth it. I would recommend the spa without hesitation. It is not close to town. A shuttle or arranged transfer from the airport would help, because it is a long drive. Plan that part yourself. I would go back for the food, the service, the spa, and the rooms.

My friend had her wedding here. The resort is beautiful! The staff is so kind! There’s always something to do. And most importantly, I felt very safe on this property. I’d definitely consider for your next vacation.

We stayed at Secrets Bahía Mita Resorts from August 29–September 4 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and birthday, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a special stay. We were greeted with cold towels and champagne, and check-in was quick and seamless. We stayed in a Panoramic Partial Ocean View King Room (1501), and the view was absolutely amazing! The resort is huge, so there is quite a bit of walking, but honestly, we didn’t mind at all—especially because there was so much amazing food to walk it off! The food throughout the resort was exceptional, but Bordeaux was definitely our favorite restaurant. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there both our first and last nights. Our waiter, Juan, was absolutely incredible. He provided such warm, attentive, and personalized service that we actually requested him again for our second visit. He truly went above and beyond and was one of the highlights of our stay. Juan is definitely a star! Another person who made our stay extra special was Mario at the Preferred Skybar on the 8th floor. His service was outstanding, and our drinks and shots seemed to keep coming without us even having to ask. That level of attentiveness really made us feel taken care of. Overall, Secrets Bahía Mita is definitely one of our favorite resorts! The combination of top-notch service, incredible food, beautiful views, and amazing amenities made our 25th anniversary celebration one we won’t forget. We would highly recommend this resort and are already making plans to come back—with our 21- and 17-year-olds next time! An exceptional resort with the worldwide benchmark for customer service. I think all hotels should follow suit with their hospitality.
