Whales, beach, sun and whales!!! 🐋

Beautiful area. Resort and beach was nice. The whale and dolphin activity in the bay was off the charts!

Predatory fees + held my ID/passport + disappointing food. Total money grab

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I attended a wedding at this resort and the experience was honestly shocking for a place that markets itself as “luxury.” The biggest issue: the front desk/concierge staff was predatory and unprofessional from the moment I arrived. A concierge named Carlos attempted to charge me $525 USD the morning after the wedding for an “overnight fee,” and my ID and passport were withheld until I paid. There was no clear communication upfront, no wristband, and no proper disclosure that I’d be hit with a $500+ charge the next morning, I would have left immediately if I had known. It felt like they intentionally keep things vague so they can trap you later when you’re trying to leave. The moment I asked for a supervisor, the amount “magically” dropped from $525 to $220. If this was truly a fixed policy, the price wouldn’t change the second you escalate. Even $220 for a few hours overnight is insane, but I paid because I needed my documents back and was being pressured in the moment. Management refused to refund or adjust anything afterward and just hid behind “policy.” On top of that, the food was underwhelming. The Secrets buffet in the morning was maybe a 6/10 at best, which is very average for what this place costs. Overall, this resort felt like a money grab disguised as luxury. If you’re coming for a wedding or event, be careful: get everything in writing, don’t assume anything is included, and do NOT allow staff to hold your passport/ID.

if you want the all-inclusive experience then this is a good hotel

As somebody who is not a fan of all inclusive resorts- This was a very decent option with good food and service. We came here for a 65th birthday and were 12 women. I loved the various options that we have but wished for better beach amenities
