Casa de Mita

The staff is fantastic. Carlos and David during the day get everything started in grand style. The fellas at night take it to another level! Lalo, Mamo and Manuel are amazing people!! They keep everything moving smoothly. Food, drinks and laughs!! Arturo is super known about ALL things celestial. Who needs nightly entertainment when you have this crew available!! So special.

What an incredible place to celebrate a special occasion or just to spoil yourselves. I was looking for a place to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday with her. She doesn’t have a ton of travel experience but she was game to try something new so I thoroughly researched many, many all inclusive places in Mexico and settled on Casita Mia De Mita - and I would absolutely pick this place again in a heartbeat! The quaint size, the peaceful surroundings, the beautiful beach and clear, warm water, the stunning pool, the fabulous margaritas, the staff, the delicious food, the options, the so comfortable room, the so comfortable bed (we stayed in room 3 by choice as it had a pull out couch for me, this worked great for us). Tequila tastings, yoga mats, beach supplies…. I could go on and on. But the staff…. My goodness these are a phenomenal group of people - genuinely caring and lovely and very committed to making your stay the best it can be. So grateful to each and every one of their team members - I’d list them but it wouldn’t be fair because I know there are some phenomenal folks behind the scenes working just as hard as the front of house staff to make each stay incredible. Every guests we met had been here multiple times and were so cute when we told them it was our first time, they remembered it so fondly and keep coming back. Logistically, booking the airport transfer through them was perfectly easy. Also, we were here leading up to Santa Semana and the beach got quite crowded but it did not detract from our experience at all, mornings were still blissfully empty and watching families have such great times only enhanced our visit - and the casita was still peaceful and relaxed. I’m sure I’m missing something but the main point of this review is wow, this is an incredible and unique place. If a small, intimate beachfront boutique inn with fabulous food and drink sounds like a good time to you, you will love it here, as we did.

We are on our 14th visit to Casita Mia de Mita. I think that says it all! It’s the most special place you can imagine, peaceful and elegant. It’s an intimate space with only eight rooms, so you feel like you’re staying in your generous friends’ gorgeous beachfront villa. We always meet interesting and like-minded fellow guests and have maintained many of these friendships over the years. The food is so good that we “work” to become hungry for each meal so that we don’t have to miss one! What makes Casita so different from any other place I’ve ever been is the loving care of the long-time and wonderful staff, who go out of their way to meet every request with genuine kindness and treat you like family. It is truly our (not so secret now) paradise!

Our family and friends have probably stayed at Casa de Mita a dozen times, we knew the old owner and have become very close to the employees at the location. We have revisited 4 times under the new management team and feel they have carried on the standards and excellent service established by the old owner. They are family and should be treated like family with respect and dignity. It sounds like Stefan P, Feb review was abusive to staff and took on privileges that were not part of the hotels guidelines or just common sense, lastly if he brought any animals or broke pool rules I would never allow him to make a reservation. The hotel or other clientele do not need this type of visitor. To management and support, continue to do what you do, it is greatly appreciated by our family and friends. richard k malibu calif

We had been to Casamia several years ago when the previous was owner was still live. It was absolutely wonderful then, but under new leadership it has not been kept up as well. What had been ezquisite attention to detail to make it a luxury destination, is now just above average.
