About the Hotel

Tucked away on gently sloping, tropical beachfront on the northwest coast of the island, Calabash Cove is one of a few luxury boutique hotels on St. Lucia. Nestled in the sheltered bay of Bonaire Estate, Calabash Cove is perched on a hillside sloping gently towards the Caribbean Sea, where cool ocean breezes provide a wonderful respite and the turquoise sea is offset by the vibrant green of tropical vegetation and views of Walcott Island. A secluded beach sheltered by a nearby coral reef provides the perfect place to rest, reflect and dream. The resort has been designed with great care to complement and exist in harmony with the beauty of its natural surroundings. The main buildings of the hotel, such as the lobby, restaurant, bar, sanctuary, and infinity pool with waterfall offer stunning ocean views, with the Watersedge Cottages amidst lush vegetation perfectly situated to view nightly sunsets.

Relaxing time

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Our swim out room was very special and romantic. The swim up bar was always a place to make new friends but most of all, it was relaxing. Close enough to Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island. Staff was wonderful and accommodating with many excursions available. Mud baths, waterfall and botanical gardens are a must. Naked Fisherman was our favorite restaurant and Demae was our favorite driver.

First Time at the Calabash!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

It has been a little over 2 weeks since I have been back home from my trip and all I can say is that the stay was amazing. There is a slim chance of returning to this resort for another couples get away. I found this resort on tiktok and insisted that my husband and I should go just four a getaway. As always there were ups and downs which i will get into below. Disclaimer I am fairly new to TripAdvisor but I felt the need to share my experience with others. The Good: The room was cleaned daily and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job at that, kudos to the the team job well done. The bar was excellent, Joakim ( I hope i spelt it right) was a wizard with the cocktails i literally wanted to just camp at the pool bar and let my husband have the room. The upstairs bar was excellent at night as well Michael did not disappoint. The food was AMAZING every night i was blown away by the flavours in all the meals. Well done Chef! The beach was fun to chill at and i liked the extra touch that there was a server there every day to tend to our needs, this allowed me to be in full relax mood. The restaurant team is phenomenal although some nights seemed a bit hectic but the manager was right there with them which was admirable great job to him and his team for being exceptional professionals. Shout out to Chanel, Travis and the manager for the great service. The Bad: Although the rooms were kept clean they seemed outdated and I believe there was residue from termites on the balcony as well, very hazardous in my opinion. The bathroom was okay nothing to shout about, could use some renovations. Tipping is something that we practice everywhere but there was one restaurant staff that made it her duty to stick to our table no matter where we sat because she realised we were good tippers, Donna is her name i found that to be extremely greedy and made my husband and i uncomfortable as we would have liked to give everyone tips, on one occasion i personally asked the restaurant manager to not have her serve us because we were tired, after which you could see she was visibly being rude and dismissive to us. I also over heard the owner talking down and shouting at one of the team members on one occasion (Konrad Wagner) I believe is his name , which I find unfair as these employees work so hard on a daily basis. He should do better, shame on him!! And on another occasion while speaking to my husband and I he took a tissue from his pocket, spat on it and wiped the top of a table in front of us as a doctor I found this highly unsanitary. All in all I give this 3.5/5 with room for improvement of course. Nice private, secluded resort perfect for couples, I would recommend but be careful for some tip hungry staff

Luxury and privacy!

Calabash Cove is the ultimate couples' experience. Five star accommodations, five star staff, five star everything. This was a luxurious week. We loved everything, including the plunge pool that came with our cottage. Breakfast brought to our cottage every morning was another highlight. A special private dinner and a couples' massage were also highlights. This is a small boutique resort that met all our requirements for a unique Caribbean getaway.

Exactly What A Couples Getaway Should Be

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Our stay at Calabash Cove Resort and Spa in St. Lucia was nothing short of exceptional. My wife and I spent a full week there, and it was exactly what we were looking for-peaceful, intimate, and incredibly relaxing. The setting is stunning with beautiful views of the Caribbean and a quiet, boutique feel that makes it perfect for couples. The food was outstanding every day- fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, whether it was breakfast overlooking the water or a romantic dinner in the evening. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay memorable without ever being intrusive. You can tell they take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a laid-back, upscale getaway where you can unwind, eat well, and be taken care of, Calabash Cove delivers. We left feeling recharged and already talking about coming back.

A true gem in the entire Caribbean

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

My husband and I had a fabulous time at this gorgeous property (following the suggestion of our daughter and son in law who stayed at Calabash Cove Resort three years ago). The room, the beach and the restaurant were amazing. Swimming was just phenomenal! We shall definitely come back to this true gem in the entire Caribbean. Thank you for hosting us so beautifully, Travis, Lila, Jamie, Rohan and Kevin!
