Reviews for Paradisus Los Cabos

Well rounded hotel focused on service excellence

My wife and I and two friends just enjoyed the perfect vacation at Paradisus. You will not be disappointed. The service was special through the property. Special shout out to Roberto at the main pool bar who was not only a pleasure to interact with, he was very meticulous in his drinks making. He made sure every ingredient and ratio was just right before serving. Another shout-out to the chefs and servers at Tokimeku. Unbelievable dining experiences. You can't go wrong with Paradisus!

Very disappointing stay!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 22 hours ago

Very disappointed in management & how they treat their guests. We arrived April 5. We were never told that there would be a very large group arriving with kids during our stay. This is supposed to be an adults only resort. We were limited with service and restaurants that were available to us as well as pools and areas of the resort we could go to. We spoke with several people from the resort including management and told them of our frustration with the lack of availability and services. We were told we would be getting a refund of our all inclusive fees and three weeks later we have seen nothing for a refund nor have we been able to talk to anyone at the resort. Very frustrating and not what a person expects from a supposed luxury resort. Such a disappointing experience. Since we had such limited access to restaurants it is hard to say if they were good. The restaurants we did have access to served only buffet food and no menu to order from like their website showed. The beach was nice. The room was small. We were supposed to have a one bedroom but it was the size of a standard hotel room and by no means a one bedroom. Overall very disappointed in this resort. We will not be back

Un forgettable experience

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience here. In particular, I want to give a shout out to the beach security guard Mr.Serranto, who went out of his way to tell us about the Lunar eclipse on our 3rd night there. It was an unforgettable experience.

Not a resort to relax or unwind.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

What a f’ing sh*t show. Arrived on Easter Monday, a huge group had booked the entire resort the week before and trashed the place. When we got our room, there was pee stains on the toilet, makeup on the pillow cases, pen marks all over the chairs, floors of the resort were COVERED in what I’m telling myself is chocolate. We were limited to one restaurant serving buffet. Staff were working their butts off trying to make it better but my god, what a mess. Day 2, non stop pounding techno music ALL DAY LONG. It’s so loud you can’t get away from it. Even by the beach, it’s head pounding bass all day. Forget trying to relax, it’s impossible to read a book or take a nap. I feel like I’m 18 again at a crappy club in downtown Toronto. This is not worth the 8 grand I paid to decompress. We paid for the Reserve ocean view as well and were put in a room with a giant wall, so forget having any kind of view if you’re sitting down. I’m so annoyed that they are pretending to be an upscale resort, I may as well have gone to a RIU and gotten trashed with a bunch of teenagers. If you are looking for a nice quiet upscale resort to unwind, this is not it.

Disappointed with Beach/Pool Cabana Staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I stayed at Paradisus Los Cabos with my husband and 2 children. It was nice overall...would give it 3.5 if I could. Restaurants were better than expected since sometimes all-inclusives can be just ok, but we were pleasantly surprised. Don't come here if you are looking for a robust nightlife though. The karaoke was a hit but ended at 10 and not much else going on the other days. The one reason we would never go back is the saving of chairs at the pool and beach. They had an employee named Carlos who would save cabanas at the beach by putting his books and sunblock on the beach beds (all of us started talking about it and realized it and then Carlos admitted that it was his personal items and he made it look like it was a guest's items. He did this every day we were there). He would wait around until he got the right person to tip him quite a bit and then he would give the beds up to them. I saw him confront 3 women who sat down even though they were supposed to be first come, first serve. The beds would sit unused all day or saved by him for people to show up at 3pm. It was maddening. We watched this go on all week. Many of us started talking about it, but we we were told management didn't care and Carlos did what he wanted. He also saved seats at the pool area all day long too and we overheard guests say the only way to get good chairs was to top Carlos (a lot). So the chairs sat unused with people's names on it and marked "The Reserve". We initially thought they were for The Reserve guests, but we came to find out they weren't for the "Reserve" guests. Carlos used the signs to make money to give it to guests who paid him. Either charge for seats at the beach or not, but don't claim it is first come, first serve and allow one employee to decide who gets chairs. It was a battle everyday for everyone as we watched Carlos play games. With that being said, it was a nice resort, great servers at the restaurants, a very pretty beach, but would not go back because of how they allow their staff to "save" seats for the guests who tip the most.
