Reviews for Paradisus Los Cabos

Paradisus vs LeBlanc

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I am going to compare Paradisus to Le Blanc. I stayed at Le Blanc five months ago. Pros at Paradisus vs Le Blanc: * No timeshare haggling! So nice not to be hounded daily by timeshare workers. * Go Reserve. This provides access to Santé breakfast, lunches and dinners. Higher quality liquor for drinks, Nespresso bar with changing buffets throughout the day, private lounges to enjoys the beautiful ocean views. I was glad we upgraded to Reserve. We didn't use the Reserve private pool. Much calmer than what we were after. Plus we had a swim up room which provided us a calm swimming pool with our fun neighbors. Our butler was Tino. He provided us great service. * The breakfast restaurant and buffets are so much better here at Paradisus. Amazing breakfast buffet! Hand carving stations, Mexican delicacies, freshly made omelets and quesadillas, plus so much more. Le Blancs was plain, bland, with watery eggs. :P * The daily and nightly entertainment at Paradisus is so much better than Le Blanc. Many pool activities provided by Jesus. Volleyball in pool, exercise classes were so fun, afternoon competitions! <3 Jesus. Live bands and dancing, live djs, painting classes, cooking classes, mixology classes, karaoke, live Mariachi bands, tequila tastings, fire shows, fireworks, yoga. * Great shower pressure. * Ocean bar with cabanas, full service on beach and bathrooms. * Ocean swimming! Love this. No ocean swimming at Le Blanc. You would drowned in an instant. NK * Jet ski rentals beside ocean bar within walking distance. * Horseback riding beside ocean bar within walking distance. * I felt very safe at Paradisus even on the beach areas. * Much better cocktails at Paradisus. Le Blanc serves sugar in a glass with a touch of alcohol. Cons at Paradisis vs Le Blanc: * Our swim up room was very moldy. The ac vents were caked in black mold/dust. Our pillows were damp and smelled like mold. They tried to mask the mold smell with lots of room deodorizers. It didn't help. In fact, the deodorizer gave me headaches. Melia updated the main attractions of this resort, but did not update the rooms, imho. Le Blanc's rooms were pristine. Felt much more luxurious. * Swim up bar in pool was moldy as well. Most of the grout was black from mold and had missing pieces of tiles. :( Kinda gross. * The grounds, although very nice, had weeds and Bermuda grass in areas that it shouldn't be located. * The bridges, in the pool area, had electrical work hanging under them. Scary! I feel this should be covered up so not an eyesore and possibly a tragedy. * Dinners at Paradisus were bad. Every single one of them. Sad but true. The majority of my food was raw. Raw meat, raw vegetable, semi raw rice dishes. I like medium rare steaks. But I continuously received blue steaks. One dinner at Santé, I ordered prawns. They were so over cooked they turned to a gluey paste. There was no meat, just paste. Pretty gross. Le Blanc's dinners were much better. Sal Steak House restaurant had deliciously flavored, smoked mesquite steaks. However, they upcharge for a beef filet. All the other restaurants in Paradisus did not upcharge for beef filet. The upcharge was exuberant as well. Three times what it would cost in US. *We were greeted by sewer roaches going to our room each evening in the outside corridors. :| Overall I would go back to Paradisus before Le Blanc. It was half the price. Plus the beach swimming is a must for me. Very beautiful and had a great time. Hopefully they update the rooms and get rid of their mold issues soon.

Hospitality and service at the highest.

It was a great stay, we enjoyed our time. Amazing service at the coffee shop Nespresso. The pastries were so delicious Alan Santiago and Jorge Perez created fruit tart, red velvet cake to die for. In addition to the amazing pastries Jenni Rangel provided an exceptional service with high hospitality...greeting always with a great smile. We stopped every day to enjoy!

Decent stay

Not a bad resort to hang at for a few days. The staff from check in to the crews handling the grounds were the greatest. Everyone was super friendly and very accommodating. The hotel sits very close to the ocean and has its own private access to the beach. I would definitely visit again in the future.

Amazing!

Great staff! Alejandro, Irving, Eduardo, and Angel were the best staff we had! Loved the events they had everyday, you don’t even have to leave the resort there’s always something to do. Will come back again! The only 2 downsides were the long waits for food at the dinner restaurants and no hot tub only pools. Room service for big meals was fast. Good resort overall.
