The Casa del Mar Zoëtry is a magnificent hotel complex situated in the Los Cabos region at the Southern end of the Baja California peninsula on the Pacific Ocean. It is a five-star resort and deserves its reputation. The grounds are magnificent, filled with fountains and flower beds which attract a lot of local birds of all types whose songs fill the air with their constant melody. Because the hotel is high class, loud guests are rare and the general impression is reserved and quiet. Our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The room service comes twice a day. Our only hitch was that the day lady came late and the evening one early so that there were only two hours between them. A simple notice to the concierge quickly corrected this quirk. The bed was comfortable and also spacious and the room equipment was complete with a huge TV with many stations. The walls are thick and one cannot hear what is going on in other rooms. Perhaps the only hitch was that the water was at best lukewarm, except on one evening when, after a longer shower, it started to heat up a bit. Because the region is dry, one tries to not waste water and satisfies oneself with a lukewarm shower. There are two restaurants and two bars on site. The beachside restaurant is well staffed and breezy. The menu is adequate, but we found the service slow. The upper restaurant is well-staffed and the menu is rich and varied. The cooks are extraordinary and the food well prepared and very tasty. This comment from people who are well travelled in Europe (five decades’ worth). Night after night (we stayed for two weeks), the preparation is constantly tasty. There was a short period of three days where there seemed to be a problem with the kitchen as the wait suddenly turned out very long (in excess of an hour), but after those three days, everything came back to normal. The staff is highly trained, polite and all of them can speak and understand English. Plus, they are willing to teach us terms in Spanish when we ask. Even though we were on an all-inclusive program, the usual custom of tipping is recommended and appreciated by the staff. Although if you forget or omit the tip, the service doesn’t change in quality, contrary to an experience we had at another Zoëtry resort in another country. The upstairs bar is pleasant and there are a variety of drinks. Wine can be bought there but the prices are excessive and akin to gouging. Paying US$200-$300 or even more for a run-of-the-mill (back home) bottle of wine kept at the ambient temperature was not something we tried. The in-house, by the glass wines are from Chile and are sufficiently tasty for the proposed courses. Room service we did not try but any issue with anything was quickly and efficiently addressed by concierge and/or front desk. Chairs at the beach are sufficient in numbers and sunbathing is in a pleasantly calm and quiet environment. Sufficient palapas are available. Since one cannot reserve a chair in advance, there is no early morning rush for the best place and selection of places is calm and orderly. The same rule applies at the pool and there seem to be sufficient chairs for everyone, although we spent our time at the beach. The beach. The sand is coarse so, if your soles are tender, it is best to walk in sandals or beach shoes. The hotels are situated on a plateau of sand about thirty to forty feet above the water with a fairly steep drop off. This is important as it is strongly discouraged to swim or even bathe in the ocean. Dangerous undertows, strong rip currents, and steep drop-offs which make swimming deadly dangerous. Because of the drop-off, waves do not come crashing from a long way in like elsewhere. They suddenly appear, almost unseen and suddenly climb up on the beach with surprising force, and pull you back with the same force. And because of the aforementioned drop off to the water itself, the edges of the ocean are not visible from the beach chairs. Thus, if no one is walking by or actively watching, one can be carried away by the sea without anyone noticing. This almost happened to a woman who was simply walking at the edge of the water. A wave suddenly knocked her off her feet and as she was trying to get back up, another wave swamped her and started carrying her off to the sea as she lay helpless. Luckily there was a passer-by who ran in and picked her up. These conditions make for a soft base so that walking along such a beach is a chore best kept for people with athletic constitutions. No leisurely strolls here. The weather is generally good with steady and warm temperatures under an ever-sunny sky. In two weeks, we saw some clouds for an hour or two on two different days. That was all. And no rain, of course. We did not take any excursions. One thing we saw, is that there seems to be some kind of hotel club and there are some timeshare apartments affiliated with the resort so that, as soon as you arrive, you are accosted and encouraged to attend the usual briefing, generally held at breakfast time. We refused the offer, much to the chagrin of the persistent sales lady. This accosting is done even before you check in. This was the only annoying part of the stay. In conclusion, the Casa del Mar Zoëtry is a magnificent place with magnificent and spacious grounds staffed by very pleasant and competent staff which made for a great and relaxing, completely satisfactory stay. We heartily recommend it.

Traveled a lot in Mexico. Super irritating when a hotel can not offer a solid coffee option in the morning. The coffee bar with one employee opens at 7am to a long line of people, what in the world are we thinking here. Property is gorgeous, food is mediocre at best with Desserts and pastries being the only highlight. Churros, crème brûlée and Mexican coffee were standouts. Mexican food is pretty good, but the steaks and other main course options were not great. The menus do not vary. They do offer some themed nights and lunch things which we missed mostly because of planned outings. I’ve been to secrets and there is a no tipping policy, we quickly learned if you don’t tip here you will not get services. I wish we would have known at check in, because it wasn’t really clear. I’m always a big tipper and felt like it was really unclear. Would have liked to visit Dreams for other dinner options but staff made it sound like that wasn’t possible. Live music was fabulous, pool was nice and quiet. Overall very nice, quiet and relaxing, only a couple of kids - food was where it fell short, which is expected at an all inclusive I guess but this one was pricy.

My wife and I just returned from this beautiful resort, where both of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had our only hiccup of the trip at check-in, where our room wasn’t ready until 4pm, but that’s where the negative ends. The resort staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the food and alcoholic drinks are far above average when compared to all the other all-inclusive resorts that we’ve stayed at in the past. The resort is small in comparison to other AI resorts that we’ve stayed at, and I feel like they definitely focus more on quality over quantity with everything they do at Zoetry. If you’re looking for a party, high energy vibe, this resort isn’t going to be the place for you. However, if you’re seeking something different than your typical AI, meaning high attention to detail, a smaller boutique feel, above average food & drink, and excellent customer service, give Zoetry Casa del Mar a try.

Yahir is the best. No matter on the beach, by the pool, romantic dinner in the teepee area, Yahir was there to add joy and care to the moment. I truly appreciate his genuine character, and his sense of humor and laughter. He made every moment better and looked forward to his presence. If you are looking to create a special moment you are in great care at the Zoetry and with Yahir.

We recently spent a week at Zoetry and had such a great experience. We loved the food and the fact that everything was à la carte - you could taste the freshness! The servers were all so friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the activities poolside and loved the enthusiasm with which Marcos and Karim brought to their jobs. My husband participated in beach volleyball and corn hole competitions and we both did the aqua fitness (so fun!), cooking class (so delicious) and lotteria (bingo). The resort has a laid back vibe which we loved. We played pickleball every morning on one of the two courts and there is also morning yoga. Another highlight was watching the whales - we were fortunate to see them every day! My main suggestion for improvement would be to upgrade the rooms as they seem a bit dated. Aside from that, an amazing place!

My husband and I just came back from taking our Luxury Link vacation at the Zoëtry Casa Del Mar Los Cabos, and the vacation was wonderful! We were unsure about the value of package, but upon arrival at Zoëtry it was clear that the accommodations were first class all the way. The resort was truly amazing. It seemed too good to be true - but it wasn't!

We wanted a relaxing vacation at a five-star resort and we found it at Zoëtry Casa Del Mar in Cabo. Elegant, exclusive, quiet, beautifully located property with excellent service and fine food. Our suite was perfect, the view was breathtaking, and the restaurant located right on the beach was charming. We practically had the place to ourselves.
