My sister and I had a wonderful time working out, relaxing, and pampering ourselves. The place is magical. We knew the spa was undergoing renovations, but was a little surprised to hear jackhammers going during the day. It was a bit of a buzz-kill, but you could find lots of places to go where you couldn't hear it. Unfortunately, the temporary spa was close enough to hear it faintly. But it was still a very relaxing experience. The place is expensive, but the amount of activities that are included, plus all the meals and snacks makes it worth the indulgence.

I took my husband for a special treat for his birthday because he seeks health in life. Miraval was a perfect choice and he loved every minute of his time there.

A truly one of a kind experience. All the staff are amazing from massage therapists, desk staff, spa staff, kitchen staff. Everyone was so genuinely attentive and kind. I hope Hyatt continues to treat their employees here well as I think it makes a big difference in the quality of service. Food is always phenomenal and attention to detail is amazing.

A gorgeous resort in the Sonoran Desert! Spa treatments are unusual & amazing! Don't miss the equine experiences. Also, the Boutique has great gifts for your friends back home! :)

I recently visited Miraval seeking time to relax, reconnect, and decompress—a much-needed break to reset both mentally and physically. While parts of my experience were truly outstanding, other areas fell short, particularly given the price point. The Highlights: Food: The food was exceptional, by far the best spa food I’ve ever had. The shrimp quesadillas, lunch buffets, and desserts were outstanding. The menu variety changed daily, which kept dining fresh and exciting. The herb dressing was so good I would have loved the recipe. Honestly, I would return to Miraval just for the food. Instructors & Classes: Several classes were standouts. Mountain biking with Voss and Nikki reminded me how much I miss cycling. Alexandra Nicol and Rae Jessie were excellent, and my sessions with them were truly life-changing. Carolyn Fike’s Understanding Crystals class completely shifted my perspective, and both Joey’s Qigong and Roll Into Relaxation, as well as Rick’s Shoulders Set Free, were very good. The quality of some instructors really elevated my stay. Service: Staff were warm and professional. Service in the lounge was excellent. Areas for Improvement: Spa Services During Renovation: The spa was closed due to renovations (scheduled to reopen in November 2025), so treatments were offered in temporary spaces. Even with discounted pricing, services were still expensive ($300–$400 each), and the quality did not consistently reflect the cost. Of the five treatments I booked, only one (a deep tissue massage) was worth the value, and one (Naga) was acceptable. The facial was underwhelming, the reflexology treatment was so poor it warranted a refund, and while Matt was an outstanding therapist, the neuromuscular massage didn’t meet expectations because the description I was given didn’t align with the service provided. Descriptions: Both spa treatments and classes are described in overly vague or esoteric terms, making it difficult to know what you’re signing up for. More accurate, straightforward descriptions would help set expectations and improve participation. Ambience: The lounge feels very dark, with an atmosphere more like a clandestine meeting place than a warm, inviting, or fun space. A brighter, more welcoming vibe would enhance the experience. Additional Fee Classes: Some did not justify the extra cost. It would help if Miraval explained why an additional fee is charged (e.g., materials, provider requirement) and actively sought guest feedback to ensure the value matches the price. Miraval has an outstanding culinary program, some world-class instructors, and excellent service, but the spa—its namesake—was inconsistent and underwhelming during renovations, especially for the prices charged. With clearer communication, more transparency, and stronger quality control around spa services, Miraval could deliver the fully elevated experience its reputation and costs promise.

Miraval is just wonderful!! It is truly a relaxing getaway that offers so much for everyone. You can push yourself to the limit with the ropes/challenge experience; yoga, pilates and other tough exercise classes; the equine experience; or just enjoy the spa with the most wonderful treatments. Loved every minute of it. The setting is serene, the staff couldn't be more helpful, and the spa treatments are truly beyond!!! Can't wait to go back!
