A magical anniversary stay at Miraval

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 21 hours ago

We visited Miraval Arizona for the first time in September 2025, and had an amazing stay and one of our best trips ever. Every employee bent over backwards to make us comfortable and do anything they could to help. Everything has been thought through for maximum relaxation, and everyone is so friendly and supportive. - We went as a couple celebrating our anniversary, and it was just lovely, but it would also be great for solo trips, mother/daughter/sisters/friends trips, etc. Each type of trip would be special in its own way. I wasn't sure if my husband would enjoy this type of trip but he LOVED it. Enjoyed the healthy food, the activities, and the option to do nothing if desired (he slept in a lot)! - The activities were just fantastic. We only did the free activities, and they were plentiful and excellent (saving our daily credits for the spa)! Some favorites were the meditation and yoga classes, stretching classes (Happy Hips, Shoulders Set Free, Gentle Stretch, etc.) the Outback hike, and the beginner's pickleball. We loaded up our days more than we had planned to, but I wouldn't change a thing. - The smoothie/coffee bar might just be our favorite place on the property. Apparently this is the only Miraval smoothie bar that will fully customize any smoothie to your liking, adding protein powders, different kinds of milk, veggies, fruits, etc.! Shout out to Lesya in the smoothie bar, she is a mix master! It was always fun to try a new smoothie and customize them each time. - The spa was closed for construction during our stay but we did amazing treatments every day in the Ocotillo building. The treatment rooms were lovely and calm, and the services were incredible. The Pradhana Veda, the neuromuscular massage, and the Ginger Healer were favorites. The spa construction was expected but it really didn't hamper our overall enjoyment. For pooltime, we enjoyed the lower pool by the BMC, which was further from the construction, and had a cold plunge, sauna and hot tub too plus gorgeous views of the mountains beyond. - At the restaurant we enjoyed doing half-orders of things so we could try more dishes. Breakfast was a highlight... their granola, muesli, and huevos rancheros were excellent. We'd always bring our smoothie drinks with us to breakfast! - Going device-free was the BEST. One of my favorite things about this trip. - Really enjoyed the desert scenery -- it makes the whole experience feel very transporting. Lighting and beautiful water features made it extra magical. Thank you again Miraval! We will be back!

Worth every penny!

This is the place to unwind, reset and start fresh. Made my 2nd trip to Miraval a year after my first trip with my husband, this time I brought my mom, daughter and daughter in-law. 5 days and 4 nights both times worked for me. Filled my mornings with yoga / exercise, took interesting classes, had spa treatments, made time to read by the pool and meditated daily (being new to meditation, floating meditation clicked for me). Their food service and selection was amazing and filled with so many healthy options. All the staff were so friendly and knowlegable - truly experts in their fields. Excited to review all my notes and follow through on the goals I set while there... and looking forward to returning again.

Meditation Vibes in the Desert

We did a girls weekend at the resort and it was good overall but some experiences were better than others. Sign up for the Just Cook for me Class which pairs 5 course with wine. It was the best. Quality chef prepared food in front of you and it was held in private room in the restaurant. All of the fees include access to all the restaurants except for private events. The quality was food but they close at 9pm so pack up to- go plates for late night nibbles. Wine area with a good selection of wines available for purchase they even had Opus One wine at $1000 (huge markup). Rooms were decent. King size and balcony overlooking a walkway. Nothing too spectacular. Wellness center, Yoga, GYM, ropes course, 2 pools, spa and horse area. One of the activities to SKIP is the Horoscope Happy Hour activity which was $125 per person. Not worth it at all included only 1 glass of wine and no personalized horoscope readings. I wish all of the activities were included for free so disappointing that you had to pay for majority of the events. And if you didn’t show up - charged $45 even for the free events. Resort is 1 hour away from the Tuscon airport but they offer free shuttle. If you drive, they charge you a fee for parking onsite.

Another outstanding stay at Miraval

Miraval is a very special property that continues to impress me even after my third visit. The staff are sincere, the activities are unique and engaging, the instructors are skilled and happy to be there, the facilities are clean and well maintained. If you're looking for a place to switch off your electronic devices and be present while enjoying quality food, excellent sessions, and a beautiful environment, look no further than Miraval. Can't wait for my 4th visit soon!

Miraval is just wonderful!! It is truly a relaxing getaway that offers so much for everyone. You can push yourself to the limit with the ropes/challenge experience; yoga, pilates and other tough exercise classes; the equine experience; or just enjoy the spa with the most wonderful treatments. Loved every minute of it. The setting is serene, the staff couldn't be more helpful, and the spa treatments are truly beyond!!! Can't wait to go back!
