The teams at Dreams Tulum are amazing and certainly the reason we are return guests. Our review is based on our stay in a Hacienda suite (Preferred) so we do enjoy the extras for our vacation. Reservations: BIG BIG BIG shoutout to Irlanda in Reservations. We had to change a couple of times due to American upsets to our little business and Irlanda was AMAZING at helping us still get the room type we wanted and the dates Air Canada could change our flights to. We couldn’t be MORE happy with her amazing service and I know that not often does reservations get kudos but we are giving her BIG kudos for making our trip happen! We love booking with the resort directly to get savings and she is amazing. We have already booked our January escape through her! Thanks Irlanda! Check-In and Preferred Lounge Services: Alejandra, Manuel and Arturo at the Preferred lounge…. You’re tops. From getting us checked in quickly to helping with changing money or other questions, you make our trip so GREAT. Always smiles and kind greetings to start or end our day and EXCELLENT customer service. Honestly, you should be teaching the other Dreams and Secrets YOUR customer service secrets! Housekeeping: Thank you VERY much for how clean our suite was and everything taken care of so good during our stay. Housekeeping is not an easy job and we appreciate your efforts to help us have a great stay. Thank you. Preferred beach: Salvador is the king of the beach in our estimation! He takes care of everything for us down there so all we have to do is just snorkel, swim, relax and have fun. He’s a BIG part of the reason we return. Thank you. You are GREAT at anticipating customer needs and wants and then making them a reality! A little shout out as well to Angela on the beach. She is such a great server and we enjoy her taking care of us during the day. Edgar, Elicio and Edwin @ Portofino and Seaside Grill: THANK YOU for the Pineapple Mimosas to start our day and the great breakfast service at Portofino. You are the perfect people to start our day with and the morning that the restaurant was closed, we actually missed your greetings and service. Omar – Wine god….LOL: Omar, we come on vacation to be the customers instead of serving them like we do back home and you make sure that even our wine likes are catered to. We have the BEST time trying new ones with your expert direction and of course, the guys were happy to do the Tequila tasting workshop and then were only too glad to purchase some good tequila to bring back. You took care of us beyond our imagination on a holiday and we truly cannot wait to be back to see you, enjoy some wine, good food and to catch up with you. Nayely – Goddess of the wines: We had such a good time meeting you and enjoyed the wine as well as your amazing service. We VERY MUCH look forward to seeing you in January when we return! Thank you for helping make our trip memorable. Aurelo at the Teppanyaki Grill – What a FUN night we had and although you do the routine over and over again, it could become boring for you. Instead, you made sure everyone was engaged, having a good time and the food was truly delicious. Thank you for a wonderful evening and the laughs you deliver. Such a great part of a vacation. Chef Francisco: WOW WOW WOW – from the sushi bridge to the amazing meal, we are so grateful for your EXCELLENT culinary skills. We enjoyed it all and are truly humbled that we were the recipients of such good cooking! We can’t WAIT to be back. Carlos, Alfredo and Eric: Your service in La Cava was amazing and top notch. We also watched you in action in the other restaurant and it didn’t matter who was there, from families to couples; you made sure everyone’s dining experience was fantastic. Well done!

The place is well designed allowing the ocean breeze to circulate the complex. We never felt overheated, nor was the air ever stale. The grounds are beautiful! The food is great. Staff are attentive and fun. Some good entertainment to be had -fire show, bingo, etc.

The staff at Dreams Tulum Resort were extremely friendly and accommodating. The resort itself is definitely in need of a facelift and a revamping of decor. The Mexican restaurant was closed for renovations while we were there and the only restaurant serving breakfast for regular guests was the World Cafe. The food there was good but it seemed to be the same choice every day not a lot of variety.

I would like to start by saying that my family and I had a very positive experience at Dreams Tulum. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent, and the rooms were clean. We did notice that the resort looked tired - cosmetically there needs to be some freshen-up of building to be painted. We did loose hot water for a day as well as several other rooms. One of our bigger issues was that there was two weddings while we were there. Although we were very happy for the couples, the rest of the guests lost access to several locations - main beach area and garden while the weddings were on. It would be nice if there was an area for weddings without inconveniencing the rest of the guests. The website did say there was an adult pool area and child pool area; however, that was not the case. Children and adults were in each pool equally. We have children ourselves, but they are now young adults so we did not want to hear crying children or being in the middle of all the games that young children play in a pool. If Dreams stuck with adult and children pools separately, it may be more enjoyable for all. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience. We took our 20 something children with us and everyone had fun. We would consider another visit to a Dreams if the conditions were right.

We just got back from a great vacation with another couple at Dreams Tulum, Mexico. We had a couple issues on the first 2 days. When we brought up the issues they were quickly resolved by our concierge, Laura Herrera. Laura has attended to everything we have asked for quickly and efficiently making our stay as wonderful as possible. The only thing we regretted was that we booked 7 days instead of 10. Looking forward to returning for a 10 day stretch!
