This place is a dream...From the top quality of the entire grounds,it's so enjoyable to just walk around and see all the different flowers..The food is great and very available to all guest..We have been traveling to this specific resort for the past 9 years now..I have to say that the best thing about it all ,is the incredible staff...I have to take the time to mention Fernando Valenzuela (bartender) was very kind , curtious. I enjoy a specific type of liquor, that I didn't see at his bar ..within 5 minutes Fernando had went out of his way to go get it ,and didn't think twice about it... He's (Fernando) great and works very hard to make sure that your stay there great..Also have to mention Jorge the butler ,owsome.... Miguel another bartender also deserves a mention...very friendly and makes a great margarita lol...The staff..they make it great, fun, enjoyable, stress free, and makes you want to keep coming back again and again... thanks to all...

This was a deeply saddening, even worse, cynical experience. They collect payment, then u no longer exist. Not even basic politeness - there is disdain for visitors (the one exception being the extraordinary mgr of the Japanese restaurant

The food was good the staff was excellent but there is no decent beach and not good value for the $. You travel to Mexico for beach and all you see is nasty concrete structures ugly water and for $400 a night it is too much for one person. Varadero cuba and Dominican Republic is much better value and beaches.

A big resort with many positives but also many negatives. Positives - -Huge grounds and facilities ensures that you can have your own space in secluded areas avoiding mass crowded areas - Good range of restaurants - Friendly staff - Many pools to choose from and beachside cabanas free to use except those near the pool which are $50 - Good range of spirits and cocktails - Neat grounds - Good location for weddings Negatives - No signs anywhere relating to Restaurants, Room blocks, Pools, etc meaning you get lost all the time - Charging per room is per adult making 3 in a room extortionate - Rooms are average decor and there always seem to be some issues - Ensure valuables are locked up as i had money left on table stolen - Lack of buggies to go from place to place and reluctance of drivers to take you where you want to. They always seem to be going the opposite direction and make excuses that they are not going to your destination - Frequency of buggies - You can be waiting a long time if you need to go from say block 5 to the Generations Resort which is for families with children - Service of some staff is related to how much tips who give the staff especially dining staff in the breakfast restaurants - No proper beach / sea are to swim in as there is too much seaweed and rocky areas making swimming impossible. Stick to the pools. - Shuttle services close at 11pm which is not good if you are dining late and you end up walking from say Generations to El Dorado which can take 25 minutes

Look at our lovely room on arrival yesterday. We are members but members or not nobody should be giving a room like this!! We are here for 15 nights and half of the wardrobe is a wall not useable!! Customer service is no longer existent at this resort. Since the running of this hotel has been taking back to original owners (the Lomas family) this hotel has gone down hill!! Please save your money and go somewhere else !! No longer a true 5 star hotel maybe a 3 at a push.
