My husband and I have reached our twilight years and know making memories is far more important than having more things. After exploring a destination for this year's anniversary trip, we kept coming back to Namale Resort & Spa in Fiji; best decision ever! First and foremost, to a person, the staff was beyond phenomenal. Their collective spirit and desire to ensure our stay was unbelievably incomparable to anything we'd experienced before was evident from the moment we arrived to our exit serenade. We can't applaud the people enough. We felt like and were treated like family, being called by name within an hour of our arrival. The meals offered were over the top. Fresh fruit, creative entrees, wonderful pastries and desserts, 24/7 room service (use this at the personal movie rooms---so much fun!). We felt so, so pampered when we had our private waterfall picnic and oh-so-special mystery destination romantic dinner (think The Bachelor or Bachelorette). Walking this idyllic property was very calming and destressing; lush flowers and trees---watch for falling coconuts (there were signs). There were many activities available that we did not utilize but did not feel we missed a thing. Last but not least, our visit to the village where many of the staff live was eye-opening. These amazing people exhibit such love and sense of acceptance. The children all have smiles on their faces; you hear "bula" (hello) from everyone. Our guide said there is no caste system; all share. Children wear uniforms to school where they learn proper English and math; getting off the bus they skipped and ran to hug their people. So much impressed us; I could go on and on and on. The village runs so smartly, so smoothly, little to no crime. We loved, loved, loved this entire experience and so hope our situation will allow us a return trip.

My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout the world, staying at luxury resorts, dive resorts, liveaboards, and adventure destinations across multiple continents. Namale is quite simply one of the most special places we have ever visited. The property itself is breathtaking. The ocean views seem endless, the tropical grounds are immaculate, and every corner of the resort feels peaceful, private, and beautifully maintained. We often found ourselves stopping simply to appreciate the flowers, trees, pathways, and stunning scenery surrounding us. What truly sets Namale apart, however, is its people. In all of our travels, we have never encountered a group of people who consistently display such warmth, kindness, grace, and genuine hospitality. Whether it was the dining staff, room service, reception team, spa staff, dive staff, drivers, housekeeping, grounds crew, or the many wonderful people working behind the scenes, every interaction left us feeling welcomed and appreciated. The accommodations were exceptional, the food was excellent, and the service struck that perfect balance of being attentive without ever feeling intrusive. One thing became abundantly clear during our stay: the people of Fiji, and especially the Namale family, are among the most beautiful, gracious, and welcoming people we have ever met. A special thank you to General Manager Nowdla and her team, whose kindness and generosity helped make an already extraordinary trip even more memorable. What we loved most about Namale is that it never felt like a commercial resort. It felt authentic. It felt personal. It felt loved. If you are looking for a place to reconnect, slow down, appreciate life's beauty, and create lifelong memories with those you love, put Namale at the very top of your list. We arrived as guests and left with memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives. VINAKA, Namale. We look forward to returning someday. Lou & Susan Carlsbad, California

We learned about Namale Resort & Spa through Costco Travel, which provided us a great package for an all-inclusive experience (which it definitely is) we will never forget. From the moment you arrive at the Savusavu airport, you are greeted by resort staff, receive a beautiful handmade flower lei, and are welcomed home. Upon arrival at the resort, the staff gathers to sing and give you an even bigger greeting. From that point on, all the staff go out of their way to make you happy and ensure that you enjoy your time at the resort. We especially appreciated all the assistance and information we received from the reception center and concierge staff, as well as the food and beverage staff. The housekeeping staff are very attentive and friendly, tending to every detail, as are the groundskeeping crew who keep the property well-manicured. We stayed in the Tabua (Whale's Tooth) Ocean Tropical Bure, which provided a wonderful ocean view from our deck. The accommodations are beautiful and maintained daily. What makes Namale Resort so great, is the staff (all local residents). We thoroughly enjoyed interacting with them and receiving their constant "Bula, Bula" (hello) greetings throughout the day. If the world was filled with Fijians, it would be a VERY HAPPY and welcoming place, because that is what you will find at this resort. We enjoyed great meals and beverages every day, and we took advantage of all the resort has to offer (e.g., snorkeling, kayaking, private memorable meals in unique locations, nightly entertainment, feeding the horses, walking the reef, relaxing massages, enjoying the spa, etc.) We cannot say enough about how pleased we were with our time spent at the resort. If you go, you won't regret it.

It didn’t take us long to realize we were at a unique resort after arriving to Namale. We were treated like extended family returning home. The food/drink, bures, excursions, and nightly entertainment are wonderful. It’s the local staff who effortlessly provides an exceptional guest experience every single time. We’ll be back! 10/10

We booked Namale for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were warmly welcomed by Namale staff with floral necklaces, cold water, and snacks—an especially thoughtful touch after a long journey. The short transfer to the resort made arrival easy, and we received an incredibly warm greeting upon check-in. Throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. With only 22 villas, the resort feels intimate and personalized, allowing us to truly connect with many of the team members. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, including transportation to and from all activities—whether organized by the resort or through third-party vendors—which made everything seamless and stress-free. We would highly recommend Namale to honeymooners, couples celebrating a special occasion, or anyone looking for a peaceful, romantic escape. We’re already looking forward to returning someday!

Apart from the beautiful grounds at Namale, it really is the staff, their hospitality and natural kindness that made this a very special vacation.
