Reviews for Yasawa Island Resort & Spa

Truly Heaven, Yasawa Resort and Spa,Fiji. Go see what corals and fish should look like!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

How could anyone gives this resort ... less than 5 stars rating ? It is an island truly Heaven! Our experience was phenomenal. This is the tropics you have to expect a few ants, and harmless house geckos. The exterior brue`s and landscaping is in great shape and sensational! The food was plentiful and delicious, wonderful expert plating! By Mira a 19 year old evening chef! Wow! Wife and I each gained five pounds. All the bar and restaurant staff were amazing...Freddie,Sita,Kara,and Sai were stand outs but all are, equally gracious and attentive! We were well treated by Kaydee (GM) , Gina and Jope front office staff. Pedro,Dan,Smigger,Abo, Izekil and Sami were awesome activities staff. For a private picnic just Susan and I went to "paridise 2 ".The corals and fish were beautiful and plentiful. But Likurie beach was ten times better. Huge rocks completely covered by different hard and soft corals. Best I have seen in 47 years of snorkeling! Truely what other island in the south tropical sea and Caribbean used o look like !!! We only had at most 26 guests also there at this wonderful resort ! It is the only resort on Yasawa. It is a half hour flight or 45 minutes by helicopter ride away from Nadi. We picked a great week Oct.13th to the 20th weather wise!! I can not recommend this Yasawa Island Resort and Spa strongly enough! The only way to have a less than amazing time is all up to you!!!

Heaven on earth

Bula everyone! Yasawa is one of the words that fiyians have to say “paradise, heaven” an that what it is this magical place. They treat you as one of their family since the very first moment, Jope receives you with some fresh fruit and flowers in the airport, then everyone in the family are amazing people, an special mention to Masana one of the first men that made possible this unique place in the world. You have lots of activities to do, not only to lay in the beach, you can snorkeling, diving, any water activity you wish; one of the mandatory things is having a picnic in a private beach, absolutely unforgettable! Moreover the food is really good, you will taste fresh products everyday and a different menu for each meal. You can’t miss the kava ritual, it’s only for them but they love to share this moment with you. To conclude a place to return as many times as you could. PARADISE. Vinaka!

I would strongly recommend staying here. My wife and stayed for 7 nights and loved every part of it. Location is perfect, it is beautiful wherever you go. Food was really really good. Staff is really amazing and everyone treats you so well. I would recommend that if you are coming from the US I would stay for a week as it is kinda a long trip. But well worth it.

Between the usual resorts…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Every year, we travel to three or four resorts around the world, mainly the Maldives, but also Cancun, Mauritius, etc. This time, what we want to do is read a book on a quiet beach and eat delicious food. I understand that every resort has different staff attitudes. However, I felt like everyone here was trying too hard to be overly friendly. Since you pay your bills, it's better if they just fulfill their obligations. I never had a chance to speak with the woman who seemed to be the owner. It's a shame. The location is great, but I thought it might be a management issue. There are many activities, but they are not explained in detail, which is tiring (for example, a strenuous hour-long mountain climb called a walk). Dinner was also tough, as the main course was served immediately after a full day and a half of flying. There are many areas that need improvement, but I hope they continue to make progress by taking advantage of the beautiful nature and environment. If you are young, it would be a good idea to bring something for the local children and women.
