Balinese relaxation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Amazing resort experience in Uluwatu Bali. Loved the location as it was not party like near nusa dua. The next door resort does play pretty loud music however. Overall staff is friendly and kind. Doesn’t seem to work for tips only and seemed genuine and want your stay to be enjoyable. Rooms were amazing and spacious. They even have daycare available with activities for your child. Wished I had more time to spend on the property to participate in their complimentary activities such as archery , mixology, yoga etc.

The BEST hotel experience I’ve had thus far. True luxury

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Best hotel experience I had ever had. This place raised my standards to a new high for what to expect in a luxury 5-star hotel. Amazing staff, they had mastered the art of being omnipresent always ready to help without being in your face and overwhelming. This complimented the natural beauty and ambience of the hotel. I never felt so relaxed and at peace when I was here. Truly beautiful from the cliff top views of the beautiful ocean. The architecture and design of the property has you in awe and so relaxed with how open it is. It is serenely quiet but never in an eerie way at Alila. The food is amazing there at The Warung for taste of good Balinese and Indonesian food. Cire was wonderful to start the day for breakfast and both restaurants have the best view of the ocean. The rooms were phenomenal with an amazing pool, cabana, the room was just huge and perfect. Loved the outdoor shower. The staff whenever you step out or in the way would always clean and tidy your room with the most thoughtful touches such as moving the bathmat closer to your bed so as you wake up your feet is greeted with warmth rather than a chilly floor, the small and big things, Alila nails it. Overall, this experience serves as a core memory for me that when I’m burnt out in the office I can think of my time in Alila to give me comfort that life is good. This is a must stay and I unhesitatingly recommend this place to everyone. The pictures I have do not do the hotel justice. What the property has posted as images are even better in person.

An unforgettable eight-night stay at Alila Villas Uluwatu

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

My sister and I spent eight nights at Alila Villas Uluwatu, and everything was beautifully organised from beginning to end, including our airport transfers. Our villa, set high within the property, was exceptionally spacious and offered complete privacy, with its own pool and magnificent surroundings. We particularly appreciated the excellent spa and bathroom products provided in the villa — including the now-famous insect repellent, which proved remarkably effective! Breakfast à la carte was exceptionally varied, generous and beautifully prepared, with different fresh juices every day. For dinner, our clear favourite was The Warung, the resort’s Balinese restaurant, where we enjoyed some truly excellent local cuisine. At lunchtime, we loved ordering room service so that we could spend the entire day relaxing beside our private pool. There are thoughtful details throughout the resort, such as the “pool basket” brought directly to your sun lounger, containing water and sunscreen. The spa itself is extremely peaceful, although we also chose to explore some of the excellent spas outside the hotel, (Spring Spa). My sister particularly enjoyed her morning yoga sessions with the coach on the deck above the cliff — an extraordinary setting. One of our favourite daily rituals was the evening aperitif at the spectacular bar suspended above the ocean: an unforgettable place to watch the light change over the sea. Although the resort feels wonderfully secluded, hiring a driver makes it very easy to experience the best of Uluwatu, with its genuinely cool shops and restaurants that are as good as they are scenic. It offers a completely different side of Bali, far removed from the busier tourist areas of Seminyak. The architecture, privacy and setting are remarkable, but the warmth and attentiveness of the team made the experience truly special. After eight nights, we still wished we could have stayed longer. A superb property and one of the highlights of our time in Bali.

“The Alila Uluwatu is a truly gorgeous property with breathtaking views. It was the perfect end to our honeymoon. I strongly recommend the hotel for a private getaway for couples although there were some families present at the time we were there. Definitely a very pricey hotel. The saying ""if you have to ask then you probably can't afford it"" I think fits well. However with views and luxury behind them I figure one shouldn't complain. Really miss waking up to seeing my private pool, cabana and the blue skies and seas of the Indian ocean sprawled out before me. Service couldn't be flawed either. Smiles everywhere accompanied by genuine interest to make sure all was well with meals, spa, rooms etc."
