I rarely write negative reviews, however in this instance I feel a responsibility to share my experience. My stay at Ayurvedagram Bali was deeply disappointing — not only in terms of service delivery, but more importantly in relation to financial conduct and post-stay accountability. I paid a 50% deposit via bank transfer and the remaining 50% by credit card. At checkout, I was verbally assured by both the Operations Manager and the Finance Department that a refund would be processed. I have video confirmation of these assurances. Despite these explicit commitments, I have yet to receive any refund. More concerning is the complete lack of response to formal written communication. Multiple follow-ups have gone unanswered. A business operating in the wellness and hospitality space should uphold transparency, integrity, and basic financial accountability. In my experience, this standard was not met. The property markets itself as a premium Ayurvedic retreat. However, when issues arose, there was no professional escalation process, no timely written confirmation, and no follow-through on agreed financial matters. When a guest is told — on record — that a refund will be processed, and it is not, that raises serious concerns about operational governance and financial ethics. I strongly advise prospective guests to stay away from this establishment due to its unprofessional and low and deceptive standards. Wellness experiences should be restorative — not legally stressful. Until my agreed refund is processed in full, I cannot recommend this establishment. Fyi My experience at Ayurvedagram Bali was appalling — and I do not want anyone else losing money the way I did. I checked out after 2 days because what was delivered did not match what was marketed (in my opinion). The “tailored Ayurveda” claim did not show up in practice: meals were left out buffet-style and it was essentially the same basic Indian food each meal for everyone. Privacy? Virtually none. “Exclusive”? Absolutely not. Communal setup, shared spaces, and you’re expected to follow “no devices” rules while staff take loud zoom calls right beside you. (I have photographic evidence, as I was so shocked I took my phone out my bag and filmed her !) The standards were inconsistent and the overall experience felt mismanaged. The worst part: I paid in full upfront. At checkout, I was asked to stay and was offered a full refund (I have this on video). I accepted the refund option — and then they refused to refund. This is now being pursued formally via lawyers. Bottom line: do not book this place without extreme caution. #Ayurvedagram #Panchakarma #Bali #Ubud #WellnessRetreat #TravelWarning #ConsumerRights #RetreatReview

Returning felt like being welcomed back into a quiet kind of magic. Every detail was tended to with care, every interaction warm and personal. Time softened here — I left deeply relaxed, gently restored, and reminded how nourishing true presence and thoughtful service can be. A place that lingers with you, long after you leave - Indrani

This January, my husband and I spent time at Ayurvedagram Bali, and I can honestly say it was one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives. From the very first day, we felt held, seen, and cared for — not just as guests, but as human beings on a healing journey. The doctors are deeply knowledgeable and incredibly attentive, taking time to truly understand the body, the mind, and the root cause of imbalance. Every treatment felt intentional, personalized, and powerful. My husband arrived carrying a lot of physical pain and deep stress. Day by day, we witnessed real transformation — less pain, more ease in movement, calmer energy, and a visible return of strength. The therapies, herbal medicines, Panchakarma process, yoga, and pranayama worked together in a way that modern medicine often forgets: treating the whole person, not just symptoms. The therapists are exceptional — skilled, gentle, and present. You feel their sincerity in every session. The food deserves special mention too: healing, sattvic, delicious, and perfectly aligned with the treatments. Simple, nourishing, and made with care. And then there is the atmosphere — surrounded by nature, silence, fresh air, and a sense of peace that slowly rewires your nervous system. Time slows down here. You reconnect with your body, your breath, and yourself. Ayurvedagram Bali is not a “spa.” It is real Ayurveda, real healing, and real transformation. If you are seeking deep recovery, balance, and a reset on every level — physical, mental, and emotional — this place is a true sanctuary. We are deeply grateful and will carry this experience with us for life. 🌿

I came for a 7 day retreat. Got a solution for my digestive problems and saw results on the second day already. I loved how caring the Personell was and how lovely they treated me. The food was amazing( vegan& always fresh and tasty)! The yoga classes were tailored to the specific areas (issues)to be improved. This place really represents the ancient Indian -Ayurvedic way of healing and does its best to help and nourish body mind and soul! I’ll come back soon and would recommend it to everyone who needs some time to reset and reconnect with nature and body !
