Kapalua bay shuttle service is discontinued. There is a parking fee for beaches in the area which can run $39 a day. (No kidding) Tourists beware … mahalo

Lovely villa but did get a few cockroaches! Beware of the resort fees and cleaning charges. We requested not to have the villa cleaned as we could do it ourselves and only there a week. On check out they told us we were being charged a $208 cleaning departure fee!! When we complained about it as we didn’t know anything about it the guy behind the desk told us nothing we could do it was going on the credit card.....great customer service!!!! On the plus side the shuttle drivers we came across where very pleasant and helpful. It’s out of the way to get to the tourist area, you have to get a bus. Nothing here but expensive and not very good restaurants.

A very tired and overpriced villa in a remote corner of Maui. The villa was tired and dusty and the AC barely worked. The resort is well landscaped but isolated and a long way to get anywhere on the island. There were stunning views from the patio, which made up for a lot. Pools ok but beaches not very accessible. The compulsory final cleaning charge of over 400 USD for 2 of us for 3 days was outrageous.

Building 20, Unit T7. Awesome experience all around. Property management was responsive and hospitable; it's obvious the property owners care for the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. The unit we stayed in was immaculate. Very clean, well-kept, quiet, and comfortable. The western views were amazing. Overall, the Kapalua community is wonderful, even for non-golfers. If/when we return to Maui, we'll definitely include this unit in our plans.

Do NOT stay in this area of the island unless you don’t care about being able to sit outside on the beach or at the pool. The property is very nice and the condos are spacious and well kept. Very comfortable. But…the location is NOT enjoyable. Very windy and rainy everyday. Farther south just a few miles is wildly warmer, sunnier and drier! We couldn’t sit at the pool or beach for any of our stay, which was so disappointing (especially for what we paid)! Had to drive to other beaches farther south. I wish I had researched how different the climate can be just a few miles apart. Hope this helps someone avoid booking in that Northern area.
