Designed to give the feel of an authentic Khmer village in rural surroundings – it does just that. Enormous care has been taken in its construction, and the interiors have same theme of rural simplicity. A little pot of bright green rice shoots decorate the tables, and shutters are made with woven banana leaves. Within the resort lie two restaurants, two bars, a boutique, a 50 meter infinity pool and a spa.

The hotel is located on a beautiful estate, with spacious and well-appointed rooms. Service was excellent, and we were pleased with both the dining and spa experiences. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I chose 'Phum Bataing' denoting 'Green Village' to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration. I can wholeheartedly say, this was one of BEST decisions in our long-lasting Marriage! It was a profound privilege to stay at this very special & serene Hotel. General Manager, Giulio leads & manages a superb Team of staff. We have had the immeasurable pleasure conversing with him on each day of our 4 nights stay. Giulio is very 'present' with all of his guests. And it is duly noted that he cares for all his staff, and the School Projects 'Zannier' supports in the local Cambodian community. It is highly admirable to know he has a compassionate heart and generosity of spirit for all of the 'Zannier' Family at 'Phum Bataing'. I conversed with Angelina, Regional Spa & Wellness Manager prior to our stay. Angelina was exceedingly gracious and suggested the 'Aspara & Tevta Couple Ritual'. This was a beautiful 2-3 hour experience leaving us both relaxed, balanced and rejuvenated! Every single member of staff from the Catering, Housekeeping, Reception to the 'Hang Bay' and 'Bay Phsar' Restaurants are absolutely phenomenal. It is clearly evident that each team member is proud to work at 'Phum Bataing'. We enjoyed talking to each valued team member and each one of them made our stay at 'Phum Bataing' a truly unforgettable & life transformative experience for us both. Our heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to you all for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary, unique & memorable. And for the exquisite Lotus Flowers bouquet on arrival and the delicious Wedding Anniversary cake on the Anniversary Day. Furthermore, for kindly arranging a Buddhist Monk & Water blessing on our Anniversary Day. This was a highly distinguishing & discerning intimate ceremony. 'Phum Bataing' will forever remain a very special place in our hearts .. We are now considering staying at the Zannier ‘Bai San Ho’ in Vietnam for our 26th Wedding Annivesary! 'Thank you' to you all ..

What a fantastic place! We went in low season which I appreciate is not what Hotel owners want but I prefer when a place is less crowded. I can only describe this place as a real source of tranquillity. It has an old world feel with modern features. We went as a family (2 kids aged 7 and 10) over school holidays and what a blissful part of the world this is. It is away from the main town (10-15 min away in tuk-tuk which can easily booked via Grab app) but that's exactly what I wanted. It is quiet but you could hear some minimal local noise which I quite liked as you could hear life elsewhere it just wasn't next door to you. For us it was a perfect size. Hotel bikes to ride around the grounds. a few Water buffalo to attend to the hotel small rice paddy areas. The room was well proportioned and we could all sleep comfortably together with the sofa becoming a bed and an extra bed put inside. Again old world charm feel with modern hotel gizmos - sympathetically decorated to reflect the country and remind you where you are in the world. The staff were fantastic. All young but confident in their conversation and well trained. No fake hotel smiles but genuine folk. All spoke English There is a spa and small gym. I thought the breakfast was well thought out and what was on offer was more than enough to cater for most tastes. I have stayed in hotels where the food was so much that you knew a lot of food was going to be wasted. Breakfast was also well laid out and looked lovely. It was rainy season (which is May to October) but it trained for about an hour a day and didn't not stop us doing what we wanted to do which was go and explore Siem Reap. Highlight for me was the pool. It was warm and not deep for our small kids. So inviting. Only other thoughts were just book a regular taxi from the airport, the inhouse transport was quite punchy. The restaurant table water was considerably priced which I was disappointing. Small point but overall this place for me had it all; style, great facilities, genuine hospitality. Great for small and big kids. Good location away from the hubub of main town.

A beautiful small lodge in a green lush garden with some small rice fields, 3 water buffalos and a spectacular sunset. The villa’s on poles are well appointed, immaculate with a warm design; it feels very welcoming and as a real second home. The staff is super friendly and do their utmost to make you feel welcome and appreciated; they remember your preferences and enquire for your plans; if none, they come with suggestions; if you have they tell you what to focus on. The food is good. There is really nothing to complain about.

Wow. This was our final hotel of five during a two week trip through Vietnam and Cambodia and man did we save the best for last. The others were all excellent but this is another level - Six Senses luxury without their price tag. Beautiful rooms, agree with another reviewer that you don’t need a pool villa - the main pool is utterly stunning and it was with great reluctance that we peeled ourselves way for some temple trips (though of course they’re not to be missed). Service is faultless, my son loved the bikes, the paddy field landscaping is utterly inspired, the buffalo a very clever addition and the food - off the charts excellent. To the previous reviewer who said the breakfast was a bit limited, I’m coming on your next holiday if you’re used to better breakfast than that!! It was amazing!! I’m a nightmarishly fussy hotel guest and I literally can’t fault this place. Impeccable. Well done and thank you!.
