Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Head straight to Royal Davui Our best holiday by far. The location is exceptional, and with only 16 villas, we never felt crowded. The staff is what makes this place so special. They greet you by name and remember your favorite cocktail. Food is 10/10. Fresh seafood at every meal, and beautifully presented. The snorkelling is the best we've seen - coral is amazing. Multiple turtle, shark and sting ray sightings. The night snorkel Is a MUST. Excursions to the nearby village are also great, with good guides on the hike. The sand cay picnic is also spectacular - another must. We visited the Maldives 5 years ago and have been trying to the repeat that magic.... Royal Davui does and more. An unforgettable experience - we will definitely be back

We were already trying to figure out when we could return, whilst we were still there! Our villa was beautiful with a stunning view of sunrise and Beqa island. Every day we watched young, 1-2 foot black tip sharks hunting from our deck! Our only daily dilemma was choosing whether we would spend time on our villa deck or by the main pool. The food was fabulous. We personally loved that you select your lunch and dinner menu at breakfast - all your decisions for the day are made! There wasn't a single meal we didn't enjoy. There were tons of fish options, but we did wish there were more Fijian foods on offer. Great cocktail variety and all were very tasty - maybe a little on the weaker side but that didn't bother us. The staff were unreal. So kind and always called you by name! There are too many fabulous people to list them all, but there was not a single cranky staff member that made you feel uncomfortable. Lots of laughs! Snorkelling was great - we snorkelled off the dock every day and saw a multitude of creatures - sharks (black tip, white tip and nurse), rays, lobster, sea kraits, squid and tons of coral and fish varieties. We did the night snorkel - I was very nervous but I was so glad we did it. It's like a different world at night! Would definitely recommend. We also did the outer reef snorkel but it wasn't particularly enjoyable as the weather had been quite squally so it was very rough and choppy. That wouldn't stop us from trying again though, but the house reef was also fab. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Davui!

We recently returned from our trip to Royal Davui and we cannot say enough good things about this resort. It fully exceeded our expectations in every way. The villas are open and lovely, immediately making you feel like you're at home. We were greeted by members of the staff singing and playing guitar upon arrival, and were offered towels and refreshments while we waited for our villa to be made available at the bar/restaurant area. There are stunning views of the beach and beautiful water from here, so we did not mind waiting at all. The staff went above and beyond to introduce themselves and know our names. We were greeted with a joyful 'BULA' every time we walked through, making you feel welcome no matter what time you were there. There is amazing snorkeling right off the dock, the community pool is relaxing with a waterfall and lovely foliage surrounding the water. You have multiple chair and lounge options while being in close proximity to the bar/restaurant area. If you want to partake in other activities- kayaking, SUP, hobie cat sailing- that can all be booked through the marine center located next to the pool. They are all very helpful and accommodating. We also enjoyed multiple spa treatments while on the island. The massage and facial afternoon was relaxing and much needed with the travel and change in season we experienced coming from winter. The highlight of our trip was our elopement ceremony. Planning something like this from the other side of the world can be intimidating, but the staff at Royal Davui left us with no worries at all. The communication throughout the process was fantastic, every base was covered, and they were incredibly helpful when it came to a delay in some of our paperwork from here in the U.S.. I worked with Grant leading up to our arrival, Jacqui took over once we arrived, and we were personally checked in on and congratulated by Chris. Please put this lovely, adults-only destination on your list. You will not be disappointed. We are already planning when we can go back.
