Incredible and unique experience
I've stayed here twice (traveling all the way from the United States - most recently for our elopement) and believe this may be the best resort in Fiji for couples. It's a great experience before you even arrive, with managers helping coordinate seamless transfers from the main Nadi airport. I highly recommend arriving via helicopter transfer if you can splurge. It's an unforgettable ~40 minute flight over lush hills, then the ocean, until Royal Davui gradually appears in front of you. For our departure we opted for the speedboat and car transfer option. The boat ride can be a little choppy but it felt totally safe and the car ride was a nice way to see more of "real" Fiji. Upon arrival you're greeted by staff warmly singing to you. Many of them will become like friends by the end of your visit. You sit down, complete some quick check-in paperwork and learn what to expect during your stay. Then they guide you to your villa. The 16 villas seem pretty similar and we were thrilled with our mid-tier one. This place is definitely pricey, but the included meals help justify the cost. Every meal is cooked to order and everything was delicious. The breakfast menu remains the same each day, yet lunch and dinner changes, with multiple tempting appetizer and entree options. The portions are solid, but I believe you can ask for more food if you're still hungry (I often asked for extra hash browns at breakfast). They'll also bring meals to your villa if you're tired or just don't feel like going to the restaurant. Alcohol is not included and the cocktails are fantastic yet can get expensive if you're a big drinker. With that said, you can bring duty free liquor to offset costs by making some drinks in your villa. They have a good wine list with varying price points. I'm being nit picky, but a couple more interesting beer options like IPAs would've been nice. The resort has good activities (some free and many at a reasonable cost). The private sand cay excursion is a must and you should reserve it before you arrive just in case it sells out. The scuba diving is world class - get certified before your trip if you've been thinking about it. Otherwise, there are several more activities to choose from including free options like snorkeling, sailing and kayaking, etc. The free cooking class was fun. Typically our days were spent doing an activity in the morning then relaxing at our villa's private plunge pool, the main pool or meandering the beaches in the afternoon. A 7 night stay is probably perfect for partaking in several activities and lots of relaxation without getting bored. What really sets this place apart is the friendly staff. They're all local Fijians and treat you like family. They'll do anything within reason to accommodate requests and ensure you have a great time. Most guests kept to themselves but we chatted with some nice people from all over the world ranging from their 30's to 60's. I can't think of much negative to say, however, if you're looking for constant action and vibrant swim up bars this isn't the type of place for you. Also, while the resort is definitely luxurious it's not quite as polished as a Ritz Carlton. Being on an intimate small private island with super friendly staff more than makes up for that.

Bula Bula to my Fiji friends
Simply getting there was an exciting experience, air, land, sea… I have never seen so many stars at night and the Milky Way, there I was able to. Sunset was something to look forward to as well. Small island but the privacy and friendly staff, local people and their culture was a magnificent and unique Fiji experience. Bula!

Best holiday I've ever had
Royal Davui was the most amazing place. The food was outstanding, the cocktails delicious. Its a home away from, the staff absolutely wonderful. Our villa was perfect with stunning views, the best extremely comfortable and the views were stunning! The snorkelling was the best I'd ever seen. Cant wait to go back!

Dreamy Honeymoon
Royal Davui truly felt like a dream and is worth every penny. The island is absolutely gorgeous, with some of the most beautiful villas and views I’ve ever seen. I genuinely had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and kind, and they were a huge part of why we enjoyed the resort so much. Their hospitality made the experience feel so personal and special. Because the island is part of a protected wildlife area, the snorkeling around the resort was spectacular and honestly better than the snorkeling we experienced elsewhere in Fiji. The marine life was vibrant and unforgettable. The food was also fantastic from start to finish. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Royal Davui is truly a special place, and we left with memories we’ll never forget. Don’t hesitate, and book the trip!!

The holiday of dreams
Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Head straight to Royal Davui Our best holiday by far. The location is exceptional, and with only 16 villas, we never felt crowded. The staff is what makes this place so special. They greet you by name and remember your favorite cocktail. Food is 10/10. Fresh seafood at every meal, and beautifully presented. The snorkelling is the best we've seen - coral is amazing. Multiple turtle, shark and sting ray sightings. The night snorkel Is a MUST. Excursions to the nearby village are also great, with good guides on the hike. The sand cay picnic is also spectacular - another must. We visited the Maldives 5 years ago and have been trying to the repeat that magic.... Royal Davui does and more. An unforgettable experience - we will definitely be back
