Kanuhura Resort & Spa

It has been two weeks now since we departed six senses kanuhura, but I am still living the dream. The journey to the island starts form the airport, where we were welcomed by the staff, whom took care of our luggage and checked us to the sea plane. Then we were escorted to the lounge until the plane was ready. It was a beautiful 40 minutes flight over the breathtaking turquoise lagoons. Uppon arrival we were welcomed by the general manager (Alicia), the resort manager (Patrick). And they introduced us to all the key people that we will encounter during our stay. And of course, we were introduced to our true guardian, our GEM Sameeh. He was so relaxed, so kind and so knowledgeable. He was there all the time to answer our questions and to take care of our reservations. My daughters loved him. I really can't describe him enough. I had an issue when i first arrived to the villa, that was immediately taken care of by Sameeh and Patrick the resort manager (which was something i highly admire). The nice thing about the island, was that you will see the higher management around all the time, making sure that guestsare settlingin. The place, the scenery, the weather, the villa, the food, the spa were all top notched. I really can't get enough of this place. It was my first experience with six senses, and it was perfect. A special thanks to Nimo the kids club manager and the beautiful staff in the kids club for taking care of my 3 daughters. The activities there were rich and entertaining, my kids didn't want to leave the kids club, they loved it so much. A special thanks to the ocean centre, we did 3 excursions with them: swimming with sharks, Dolphins sunset cruise and the turtle snorkeling. They were all amazing and highly recommend. A special thanks as well to Komang in the Spa, I did 3 massages with her and all were amazing. Thanks to all the staff in the restaurants, they were nice, knowledgeable and their recommendations were excellent. Thanks Six senses Kanuhura for this memorable stay, and we will be back soon.

This was our fifth trip to the Maldives: our second visit to Six Senses Kanuhura, having also stayed twice at Six Senses Laamu. We stayed in a two bedroom pool villa, which we loved as it effectively consisted of two standalone villas with a large pool and dining area in between the two rooms - ideal for families with older children who want their own privacy. We were not disappointed our second visit to the resort. The staff was outstanding from our GEM (Rajeeu) to all the other areas of the resort, including housekeeping and F&B staff, who were all attentive and proactive. The beaches and waters were pristine and we especially enjoyed going to the outlying island, where it felt we were in our private space! The Christmas decorations on the beach and around the island were a nice touch. We will definitely consider Kanuhura again if we return to The Maldives.

This was our second stay at Six Senses Kanuhura and it absolutely delivered again. We stayed in a Two Bedroom Beach Villa Suite – beautifully designed, extremely comfortable and perfectly positioned. The resort strikes that rare balance between barefoot luxury and operational excellence. Service genuinely could not be faulted. Our GEM, Sameeh, was outstanding – calm, proactive and solutions-based with the few minor issues we had. Nothing was over-promised, everything was quietly resolved, and that level of professionalism makes all the difference at this price point. The food is on another level. Consistently inventive, beautifully executed and far better than you’d expect even from a top-tier Maldivian resort. It’s not just “good for an island” – it’s properly insane. It’s easy to be cynical after a lot of high-end travel, but Kanuhura still feels like a place that cares deeply about the guest experience. We’ll be back.

We stayed for 8 days at Six Senses Kanuhura with our two small children, and it was an absolutely amazing and truly memorable trip. Everyone working at the resort was incredibly kind and welcoming. We enjoyed the wide range of activities on offer, including the turtle safari, snorkeling with reef sharks, the dolphin cruise, football tournaments with the kids’ club, and various water sports. Christmas Eve dinner was wonderful, and the butter chicken at the Market restaurant was our absolute favourite dish. Special thanks to our GEM, Sameeh, who organized everything within minutes. He even managed to get me contact lenses from Malé after I forgot mine at home and helped locate my laptop, which I had accidentally left at the airport. His support made our stay completely stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this resort to families.

We had the most wonderful time on our second visit to this absolutely beautiful island resort. I can say that this a very special place. I can’t fault any part of our stay - from the moment we arrived and were warmly welcomed to our last morning, we felt completely spoiled and looked after by every member of the exceptional staff. The service was so friendly and always excellent, our GEM Sameeh just had a way of appearing to check on us at the perfect moment and took care of us beautifully ❤️. Our room was totally luxurious (loved the outdoor shower)! And we had so much fun riding our bikes, indulging in ice creams, trying different activities and water sports from a wonderful team and snorkeing in the perfect clear water - the marine life really is next level. And the food - exceptional!! Chef Kevin and his very hard working team fed us well - every thing was beyond delicious. We left with a few extra kgs but every mouthful was worth it! We loved sunset cocktails as well with Nina’s dj tunes to enjoy. Super fun and a very relaxing vibe. There are so many staff to personally thank that made our visit truly memorable-we are so thankful for being able to have time together as a family in a stunning place with such lovely people around us.
