Chabil Mar

This is our third time visiting Chabil Mar. It’s been fantastic all three visits. Been twice as a family and once for our anniversary. The grounds are immaculate, the food is great, the villas are awesome, and the staff is excellent. I highly recommend this resort if you’re looking for a small exclusive resort, in a traditional, slow paced, Belizean fishing village.

Once you arrive, you will know that you have found the spot! Chabil-Mar has to be my favorite place to have stayed in Central America. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to any request. We were called by our names throughout the entire stay. We had all of our needs met. The property was immaculate and situated in the best spot along the beach. Services were on point, including trips into the city of Placencia. If we needed something, all we had to do was ask and it was handled-effeciently and effectively, no hassles. The villa was spotless! It was truly beautiful and inviting. The menu offerings for all three daily meals were delicious. The bar and the service was amazing as well. We will return to Placencia and stay here again and again.

Everything upon arrival was amazing. The personalized greeting, to the staff especially Roberto was so cool to my family. Beautiful view, pools were relaxing and the food was delicious!

This hotel was perfect for our family of 10. Grounds were gorgeous and the villas were accommodating. We felt safe inside and around the village. The cameras were added security. The pools were relaxing and the ocean view was picturesque. But this wasn’t the best part of our stay. It was the people! Nikita and Kimberlee did a great job at the desk taking care of our bookings. Lionel took care of us around the pool with yummy food. Donis set us up with fishing. My kid caught his first fish and had it cooked up for dinner. Humberto was a big part of why this was a memorable vacation! His drinks at the bar will be talked about for years and maybe his singing too! I hope management knows it’s the people that make this place special. We can’t wait to come back to visit our news friends again. #legendary

We booked the 2 Bedroom Seafront Vista Villa for a family of 4 and they were kind enough to add a third bed in the 2nd bedroom. Our villa was very large and comfortable and came with a washer and dryer, which was fantastic for us a family. We had our own ocean view patio and a hammock that I used frequently. You can dine anywhere on the property and we just had our breakfast brought to our patio. The resort is about a mile from the main restaurants in Placencia but they had very nice golf carts for rent and we used one during our trip to go eat if we wanted to eat out. The beach is not really a swimming beach but is perfect for hanging out and reading and relaxing. They have high-quality furniture there and it makes it very comfortable to relax. The staff were great and super-helpful. They even arranged our flights from BZE to Placencia, coordinated with our flight from the US, and picked us up from the little airport. We just paid upon checkout. Just a wonderful place overall. Can't say enough nice things about it. It's exactly what a high-quality resort should be.
