Chabil Mar

Five stars+ for our Belizean getaway in Placencia! Everything about this stay was perfect. The service was thoughtful and attentive without ever feeling pretentious. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, spotless, and — importantly — free of a single dust bunny. The pools felt like warm bath water, which made it dangerously easy to spend the entire day lounging poolside with one of the bar’s excellent drink specials in hand. Bonus: they’ll serve food right at the pool or deliver it to your room. The food was consistently delicious, but the standout was when the chef cooked the Lion Fish we caught that day. Absolute chef’s kiss. They also offer complimentary bikes, which made riding into town easy and fun. I would highly recommend this property for a girls’ weekend, couples getaway, destination wedding, or any occasion. Belize, you spoiled us a little. 🌴☀️🍹

Chabil Mar is a destination that is perfect if you are looking to get away from the busy world. Our seafront villa was wonderful. Your are surrounded by amazing flowers, plants and birds and makes you feel like you are deep in nature. The views of the Caribbean ocean are stunning and the pool was 20 ft from our villa.. The staff is super attentive to your needs. The location is a short distance to Placencia Village and there is a shuttle (Nacho is the best). Placencia is a slice of heaven and Chabil Mar is an outstanding resort. We have been to a lot of Caribbean resorts and this one is by far the best.

Our 1st visit to Chabil Mar will not be our last; it’s a lovely hotel. Our villa was spacious and well appointed. The staff is very attentive, and we enjoyed delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The grounds are lovely, and create the impression you’re the only people on site. We all enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning.

My mom and I absolutely loved our stay! The staff is truly the best, which is really what sets this place apart. Everybody we interacted with was top notch and fun to chat with. William, the concierge, was also very helpful when I requested to book a last-minute ATM Cave tour. The villas are amazing - spacious and with everything you could need. We enjoyed our time all around the grounds, from sitting on our balcony to lounging near the water to grabbing a quick drink at the bar. Highly recommend Chabil Mar to anybody looking for a relaxing getaway!
