Arrogant Front Office & No AC

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Since the hotel chose to ignore my email because they obviously still doesnt care. The villa was beautiful, and some team members, like Neeraj and Rita, showed genuine hospitality. Unfortunately, everything else was overshadowed by how poorly the Front Office handled a major issue. When we returned at 11:30 PM, the bedroom AC wasn’t working. Despite two engineer visits, nothing was fixed, and we were only offered to switch rooms at 3:30 AM—far too late to be useful. We spent a miserable, sleepless night. The next morning, the Front Desk Manager offered excuses instead of accountability, even suggesting an HVAC “tutorial.” about how they maintain their AC. Lol!! His arrogant tone made the situation worse. The so-called compensation—an in-villa meal and late check-out—was absurd, considering the room was still uncomfortably hot. Sure, i would like to have my breakfast sweating and stay in even hotter room. To add insult to injury, I had to argue just to have Bonvoy points credited for the spa—something that was “impossible” until I pushed back. I came to celebrate my birthday and left frustrated, exhausted, and feeling completely dismissed. Also, props to the team for giving some birthday cake in the room - the only problem is the ants already had a party of their own! (See pic) How thoughtful of them not to check! This stay showed a shocking lack of basic problem-solving, guest care, and common sense.

Newly minted Gobi is an absolute scream!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Erstwhile Zuma Lounge has been renovated n rechristened as Gobi, the pan Asian restaurant, right next to Kaheela. The interiors are rich, vibrant yet muted and the seating area is divided into 2 segments. Drinking n pvt dining & the generic seating with the open bar holding the honorary place. Outdoor seating is also available. Cuisine type is predominantly Chinese & japanese with a smattering of Indonesian, vietnamese & Malay thrown in. For starters, of course we opted for Crab Temaki handroll & Veg Maki Rolls. For mains we opted for the chicken Malay curry served with Jasmine rice. It will remind you of Thai chicken curries. For dessert I will recommend basque cheesecake. In drinks they have sake, cocktails, wines and the whole nine yards. For cocktails lovers try their Gobi slush & Kyoto sunrise. Cost for 2 with drinks will be AED 800 approx

Perfect tranquil getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Our second time visiting Al Wadi. The villa was perfect, luxurious, comfy as always. But the trip was made by all the staff who put their all in looking after you. From before you arrive, Lovepreet handles all your booking needs and enquiries. Amr was the best showing us around on the golf Buggy and picking us up from our villa and making sure we departed with care and attention. The rainforest spa is a must. Medhat serving your perfect drink and always knows what you need. Hoping to visit again very soon!

Thank you Ritz for a wonderful honeymoon

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

We spent our honeymoon here and had a very nice experience as always at Ritz, this is definitely our favorite hotel. Beautiful facilities and villas. Food and beverage manager Amr made sure our stay was well taken care of, a big thanks to him. And we also had a wonderful chauffeur named Amr aswell, he helped us with everything we needed, he even took time to show us around etc, we felt very welcomed by him and he made our stay very comfortable.
