Among lavender fields, olive groves, vineyards, and cypress trees in the heart of Provence’s Luberon region, Domaine des Andéols is a one-of-a-kind retreat where contemporary art, architecture, and nature exist in perfect harmony. Spread across more than 30 hectares of preserved countryside, the estate features a collection of individually designed Nature Suites and private houses, each offering its own artistic identity and immersive connection to the surrounding landscape. Large picture windows, private gardens, terraces, bespoke furnishings, and curated collections of artwork create accommodations that feel more like private residences than traditional hotel rooms. Throughout the property, guests encounter sculptures, photography, design pieces, and thoughtfully landscaped gardens, reinforcing the estate’s philosophy of blending creativity with the beauty of Provence.

Terrible, do not recomend this hotel.

This once-gorgeous hotel is completely run down and run by the rudest and most disorganized staff ever. We were advised their previous manager quit and all the best employees had resigned as a result. The pools were unattended throughout the day, the chairs were worn and faded and the grounds were unkempt and full of weeds. My room was poorly serviced, not thoroughly cleaned, the sink was plugged and the bidet broken. The room filled with a horrible stench of sewage on the second night and they told me the hotel was full and there was nowhere else to put me. When we checked out they accused us of lying about the smell even though their colleague came to the room, agreed there was an unacceptable stench, and admitted the septic tank was completely full and just emptied. I had to sleep with no AC to stop the smell coming in and because there were no windows, couldn’t get any fresh air. When we checked out they tried to make me pay for a bottle of wine from the mini bar even though I never took one, I don’t even drink! They of course didn’t even have a record of what was in there. They didn’t even offer an apology. Instead they accused us of lying. Unbelievably, this hotel comes Michelin recommended. That’s clearly just based on the original vision of the celebrity hotel owner, Olivier Massart, which he has clearly neglected and abandoned. He should be embarrassed. Shame! The management replied to my review on Google with a nasty, aggressive response full of lies and accusations against a customer with no acceptance of responsibility. I think that should be proof for anyone of how unprofessional these people are. If you have a problem during your stay, expect management to blame you.

Perhaps what was once a cool country hotel has fallen under mismanagement and frazzled staff! The smell of septic/sewage was present in at least three of the rooms stayed at by our cycling group. Poor communication skills by staff meant I had to pay for a massage I never confirmed or had. My son was charged for a missing bottle of wine and he doesn’t even drink. The pool areas are completely unattended, the towels are thin, small bath towels, the furniture and pillows are worn and stained. Our safe didn’t work and was never fixed as well as the bidet. We had to change rooms at 12 am on our second night because our room stank so badly of sewage. But the very worst was the manager who called the police when we said we will not pay for the massage and called us liars when we complained of the sewage. My son figured out that the smell came from nearby the room and when the AC was on it drew the stench into the room. He slept with no AC and the rooms have no windows to open to let in fresh air. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. There are lots of better options. We absolutely loved Bastide de Bellegarde just outside of Avignon.

I don’t have much to say about this hotel - because I am speechless! The property is just perfect, and the most unbelievably gorgeous location. My jaw dropped the second I had the chance to take a walk around. Staff were just as amazing. There were a lot, and I mean A LOT, of bugs around the property however, including the balcony and in the room. That is my only complaint.

We had a wonderful soirée last night under the canopy of the tree house with friends. The setting is superb - service attentive and friendly and the food delicious. My husband and I live close by and we arrived on foot the other side of the domaine - staff happily gave us a ride in a golf cart which was a special way to arrive at the restaurant! Additionally, we misunderstood one of the menu items and so the chef sent us out a little extra to try, when we realised our mistake! I thoroughly recommend that you book a table - we attended the Thursday night Spritz and nibbles event at Le Platane.

17-hour flight to Milan, 3-hour drive to Monaco, 5½-hour drive to Domaine des Andéols—every second worth it to come to paradise. The art is exceptional and the service is impeccable. We can not wait to return. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
