The Shangri-La is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. The staff are all vey friendly and helpful with the room keepers (if that's the correct expression) especially efficient and considerate. The buffet dinners and breakfasts are bountiful, the bars relaxing although the Horizon Lounge is not worth the money they charge upfront. The Chinese restaurant is also good. The gym is also great. Why only 4 stars? The location. The beach looks on to drab houses on the other side of the channel (c.150m away) and there is a very busy road-bridge 300m to your left. There is nothing outside the hotel and all attractions and activities are a taxi ride away, often 20-30 minutes.

5 Star service in a luxury resort with extremely friendly staff and facilities. From Check in with Jewel and Vicky and the terrific after check in service by Saqer via WhatsApp was amazing. We spent a lot of time in the Horizon Lounge and the service for breakfast afternoon tea and evening cocktails with Manager Jane and her team of Pooch Walid Arielle Gleb Jane and Madhuri was incredible. The food was also terrific and we got to meet the 3 chefs Kenzo Angelito and Nan during our stay. The Resort is impeccably clean and we had service twice a day in our Suite. The facilities include a private beach, pool area, Chi Spa is first class also.

We can only say that from the. Moment we arrived till the time of our departure we were in heaven, the grounds are kept spotless due to the hard work of the gardeners from sun rise to sunset, the attention paid by the recreational staff especially Ajaya and Venkatesh also all the other staff on the beach and around the pools not forgetting the lifeguard the young lady from camaroon, I could go on and on, not forgetting our room boy who looked after us in room 518, thank you.

A sensationel nye party with maximum service by Hotel staff was the fixpoint of our stay. The service during our week in Abu Dhabi was excellent. The best room service ever was presented to us by Shhyamali, a real angel
