We have stayed in 5 different resorts in crete all of which are different Domes was a great family hotel mostly postive Beach 9/10 (people from outside allowed in) Food 9/10 (hard to get a dinner reso we ate outside the hotel 3/7 nights) Staff 10/10 (friendly and helpful) Rooms 9/10 (spacious and clean) Pools 7/10 (family pool needs better cleaning but adults pool was great) Kids club 100/10 (amazing staff and activities our son loved it so much) Location 10/10 (close to 2 different small towns for outings) Gym 8/10 (outdoor but enough to get a good workout) Buggys 8/10 (sometimes longer waits) Value 10/10 I would def come back to this hotel overall probably the best family hotel of all we tried including Amirandes , luxme , minos beach, daios cove

We had an amazing stay at Domes of Elounda and can't recommend it highly enough. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are spotless, and the views to the Spinalonga island and the surrounding scenery are absolutely stunning. What truly made our experience special was the incredible staff. Everyone was genuinely warm, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. Their professionalism and kindness made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until the day we left. A special thank you to the General Manager, whose leadership is clearly reflected in the outstanding service and attention to detail throughout the resort. It's rare to find a team that is so dedicated to making every guest feel valued. The food was excellent, the facilities were immaculate, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning. Thank you to the entire Domes of Elounda team for such an unforgettable stay! The only real problem with staying at Domes of Elounda is that leaving is the hardest part—you'll find yourself checking flight prices before you've even unpacked at home!

We had an absolutely wonderful third return family week-long stay at Domes of Elounda with our two children aged 9 and 12. The resort is simply beautiful, with spectacular views and a relaxed beach vibe with plenty of sunbeds under the shade of the trees. We particularly like this beach as the water is crystal clear, warm and lends itself perfectly to either a quick dip to cool off or a swim without any of the usual beach crowds. We also made use of the watersports activities. Again this year we had good intention of going to visit Spinalonga but as the hotel is just so relaxing, we failed to leave the resort. It would be impossible not to switch off and relax here, and a recharge of the batteries is exactly what we needed to contrast our busy London lives. Domes has the feel of a boutique hotel with 5 star facilities, which for us is the perfect blend. The food across the hotel was consistently of a high standard (and I admit that we are not always easy to please). We favoured breakfast at Antoninos by the pool, where the buffet and table service for barista coffees were excellent. Antoninos offers a calm and refined atmosphere, unlike many larger hotels e.g. Abama Tenerife where the breakfasts can sometimes feel somewhat busy and hectic. The service was efficient, friendly and speedy; I am not one to wait long for my first coffee of the day and my family and I were certainly very well looked after here. It was the perfect start to each day. The breakfast selection was perfect, with freshly made eggs and pancakes constantly being served - also eggs to order available to be brought to the table - although we didn't need to make use of this as we were more than happy with the selection on offer. We also enjoyed the main hotel breakfast offering, which was of a slightly larger scale - we personally prefer a smaller setting. The Core (elevated food trucks) Greek BBQ night with dancing is always great fun, with a wonderful atmosphere. Lunch at the beach restaurant is top notch as is lunch at Antoninos - one really can't go wrong. We reallly didn't need to eat lunch given the wonderful breakfast buffet but we are not ones to indulge in a huge breakfast so we enjoyed the relaxation of lunch, whilst looking forward to our aperitif and evening meal. In the evening we enjoyed drinks at the main hotel bar overlooking Spinalonga as well as at Haute Living, where we mixed our own Aperols whilst playing cards, getting lost in time. The warmth and professionalism of the staff across the hotel made our holiday particularly special - from the guest relations manager, Stella, the fabulous duty manager Eleni Patsani, the super friendly buggy car drivers and all the restaurant staff - the fact that so many of the staff remember us and are still working at the hotel after a number of years speaks volumes. Our favourite evening was a beautiful dinner at Makris - the setting was utter perfection and this was matched by the outstanding food: an experience to treasure. I informed the hotel prior to arrival that we would also be celebrating my wife's 50th birthday - we were treated to a beautiful chocolate ganache cake and a bottle of wine left in our room on our last evening, along with regular treats such as macarons - each day we felt spoilt. The personal touch here goes a long way. The manager, George, introduced himself to us and it was clear that he genuinely reaps satisfaction from his guests’ enjoyment of the hotel. The manager of Antoninos is wonderful and it's clear that he takes immense pride in his work; this positivity filters through to all of the staff. This year for the first time, we opted for Haute Living, where drinks (coffee, teas, bottled water, fizzy drinks. Prosecco, wine, spirits…) and snacks (e.g. fresh fruits, croissants, cookies, sandwiches, crudités, the most amazing fresh doughnuts, figs, nuts, pastries, cured hams, cheeses etc are available all day and evening. We also enjoyed the Haute Living air conditioned gym, which was well equipped and never with more than a few guests at a time. A huge thank you to Eleni and Stella, who were both as exceptional this year as in previous years - warm, welcoming, attentive and always ready to help whilst somehow being discreet at the same time. Eleni went above and beyond when our younger child’s much-loved small teddy accidentally became wrapped up in the bed linen and was taken away with the laundry. She made an extraordinary effort to track it down (needle in a haystack) and reunite my daughter with it the next day, for which we are incredibly grateful. It meant so much to our family and perfectly demonstrated the genuine care shown by the staff. To add more work for the team, our eldest left behind his teddy, which we only realised on our return home when unpacking. I emailed Eleni late that evening and received a reply the next morning to confirm she had located the teddy and arrangements were made for it to be sent back to us. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff clearly cares about the guests’ happiness, both adults and children. It is this personalised service which my wife and I find invaluable and this is a key reason for our return visits - the perfect blend of Cretan hospitality in a 5 star setting. We have recently enjoyed other resorts such as Anassa in Cyprus and Abama in Tenerife, but feel compelled to returns to Domes for all of the above reasons. We returned home with yet more fantastic memories and would happily recommend Domes of Elounda to anyone looking for a luxurious and welcoming stay in Crete. We are ready to book our fourth visit next year. Nothing makes one look forward to a holiday more than knowing that is is going to be simply fabulous. Thank you to all at Domes.
