The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

The location of the property, expansive and well appointed rooms, gourmet cuisine and a very professional Oberoi team of staff make this the go to choice when in Agra both for the Business and leisure traveler.

What an absolutely gorgeous hotel in every aspect. From the moment of checkin until the drive out of the driveway the staff bent over backwards to ensure we had an amazing stay. Our room had a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal with all of the amenities needed. We had dinner and breakfast there with delicious food and again fabulous service. Many hotels claim to be five star but this one truly is! Don’t hesitate, splurge and see for yourself!

We visited Agra from Toronto, Canada to see the Taj Mahal and stayed at the Oberoi Amarvilas. The hotel is truly unique offering a bespoke experience and views of the Taj Mahal. The service at the hotel was impeccable and everything was taken care of for us from start to finish! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Agra Our guide in Agra - Mr Sandeep Kumar Sharma, gave us a wholesome tour of the Taj Mahal and the heritage sites where local artists use the same marble used to build the Taj Mahal create unique memorabilia and paintings. He was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the region, and made our tours memorable and enjoyable!! Definitely recommend him as a tour guide :)

I have been watching videos on you tube about The Oberoi Amarvilas, its view, its service. Always wondering when i will be able to visit this particular property, time came last Feb, an still I am mesmerized. I wanted to write about my experience much before but i was always thinking i will take my time. now i have realized that i am falling short of vocabulary in front of my emotions. i had wonderful view of Taj, I can observe different shades of Taj from my room, i have wonderful hotel team taking care of us as royal family. nothing to complaint only to experience. Cannot express everything. one must experience. its beyond all whatever you read, watch on internet !

We are always super skeptical about using guides because they tend to be overpriced and pushy but Sandeep came highly recommended so we gave him a go. We could not have spent our rupees better - he is a charming, delightful man. Hugely knowledgable, kind, patient (particularly with kids) and brimming with anecdotes. Sandeep is fantastic at knowing the best places to take photos of the beautiful moments, he’s a great storyteller and we couldn’t recommend him more!
