The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

This is by far our preferred hotel so far in India. The grounds and architecture are magnificent. The pool area is amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and efficient without being too obtrusive. Diner was excellent. Our room was gorgeous with a nice comfortable bed (they even ask you what kind of mattress you prefer!). Shower is excellent and powerful. Breakfast is buffet style with a very nice selection of western food. Plenty of a la carte choices Would certainly advise a room with a balcony to enjoy the wonderful view on the Taj.

We had an unforgettable 2 night stay at The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra. It was our first experience at the Vilas category of hotels of the Oberoi group. The property is probably one of the most beautifully designed hotels in India. The service at every point of contact was exemplary from a very welcoming check-in to a quick checkout . The food and service at the restaurants were very good but we personally felt the food especially the breakfast experience was superior at The Oberoi Delhi. The room was beautiful and the balcony had an amazing view of The Taj Mahal and the evening cultural programmes. The close proximity of the property to the west gate of Taj Mahal makes it very convenient to visit the world famous Taj Mahal. A suggestion would be to include a complimentary minibar especially in a hotel of this stature. Feels odd being asked whether anything was consumed from the minibar. The noise insulation can also be improved as we were slightly disturbed by the door bell from the adjacent rooms. Overall had a beautiful stay and once again making it apparent that The Oberoi is probably the best in terms of service and hospitality in the industry.

This property had been on our bucket list for a while. Finally managed to make it happen. The drive from Delhi was amazing… but the really experience started as we entered the hotel. We were treated as royalty as we entered the hotel and it lasted right through the trip. Came back with some great memories. Great location with super staff makes for a super trip.

The architecture and gardens are beautiful, the hotel is very close to the Taj Mahal, and it also provides golf carts to shuttle guests back and forth.

We had an amazing time at the Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra! Stepping into this place felt like entering another world-outside, the contrast of bustling streets and poverty was stark, but inside, it's pure luxury. The staff were incredibly friendly, the grounds spotless, and the food? Absolutely delicious. Even though we only stayed one night, it was unforgettable. This place is top-notch, highly recommend! Thanks for the stellar service.
