The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

A luxurious hotel with exceptional and attentive staff. The food, smells, and music are magnificent. Even though there were seats available in the Indian restaurant and we wanted to try something else, we were offered another. It was disappointing.

I stayed at the Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra for two nights, and it was truly unforgettable. The service, attention to detail, and setting made the trip exceptional. Arrival I arrived at Agra Airport, where passengers must take a shuttle outside the Air Force base gates. The shuttle isn’t free (₹50), and mobile payments don’t work with my U.S. credit cards. My Oberoi driver, Jitendra, kindly paid the fare and made the process stress-free. Tours The Oberoi arranged both my driver and guide, and I cannot recommend them enough. Ravi was knowledgeable, gracious, and made me feel safe as a solo traveler. He also helped capture wonderful photos at the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. One highlight was renting a saree through the Oberoi—someone came at 5 a.m. to drape it for my sunrise tour, and the photos were stunning. Over two days, we visited the Taj Mahal at sunrise (twice), Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-Daula, Mehtab Bagh, Kohinoor Jewelers, marble inlay factory, and finally Fatehpur Sikri before my departure. Ravi was always attentive, even holding an umbrella to keep me shaded. Hotel & Dining The Oberoi Amarvilas is truly breathtaking. My balcony room offered a direct view of the Taj Mahal, and I enjoyed the beautiful gardens and cascading pools. Watching the sunset over the Taj Mahal while the hotel’s cultural dance performances took place made the stay feel truly magical. On the first night, I dined at Esphahan and enjoyed the royal thali, and on the second night I had an outstanding lamb curry at Bellevue. Breakfast each morning was delightful, and a spa treatment provided the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Departure On my last day, Ravi and Jitendra escorted me to Fatehpur Sikri before Jitendra drove me all the way to Jaipur—a long trip he handled with great skill. Final Thoughts Oberoi Amarvilas made my Agra visit extraordinary. With stunning views of the Taj, impeccable service, and thoughtful attention to every detail, it was the perfect stay. A special thanks to Ravi and Jitendra for making my experience smooth, safe, and truly memorable—they went above and beyond at every turn.

We had an amazing stay at The Oberoi, made even more enjoyable thanks to Ridhi’s excellent assistance with our reservation changes and special requests. Our drivers, Suresh, along with John, was both humorous and informative throughout our stay, making every journey comfortable and enjoyable. Our guide Sandeep provided a wonderful tour of Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal, offering clear explanations and insights that enriched our experience. The view of the Taj Mahal from our room was simply spectacular. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and we would definitely return if we are in Agra again.

It's a wonderful stay experience.  Mr Aishwarya & Arpan had warm welcome me in the property and took me to the tour of the beautiful property. Mr Saronsh had done my check-in formalities and assisted me to the Room. Room was beautiful as well as taj mahal view from the balcony. Mr Swabhiman, Kaushik & Divyansh, had also assisted me. Mr. Sujal & Saransh had handled my laugage properly. Mr Bhupendra & Sadique had done a awesome work in housekeeping as well as make my stay comfortable and took after my preferences. In room dinning Mr. Harass, Minmoy Sarkar had served a very delicious food. In the Esphahan Restaurant Ms Gyatri had suggested me a very delicious soup and Chef Darsh had served very delicious food and make my dinner dinning experience delicious. In the breakfast Ms Disnari had selected a beautiful view table in the outdoor. Mr Sreejan, Ms Emma Rai & Manpreet Kaur had made my breakfast delicious. Mr Ishaan had personally came to my table and check everything was gone well. Mr Bhole had assisted me in poolside also click me beautiful pics. Mr. Trinak, Anushk had served a very refreshing drink in poolside.Ms Bishnu had made my checkout experience hasselfree.

It was one of our memorable stay at Oberoi Amarvillas where we celebrated our daughter's birthday . The entire team made exceptional efforts for the grand celebration.
