The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

One of the best resorts in India. The resort has stunning view of the Taj Mahal. It has the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. There service is outstanding and food is excellent. The property looks so beautiful. It is maintained picture perfect. Highly recommended to visit this beautiful resort with your family and don't forget to book room with balcony.

Almost everything positive has been written about Amarvilas - all true. The rooms aren't the largest, but they are supremely comfortable, with the views of the Taj Mahal being the ultimate bonus. All of the staff were beyond welcoming and competent. The best experience, however, was arranging private tours with Muzzamil Hussain through the concierge team. His depth of knowledge of the history and art related to the Taj, the Red Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri was extraordinary, as were his insights into the religions and Indian history (from the 10th century to now). I often take solo specialty tours, and Muzzamil ranks among the best guides I've had. He made the stay at a fantastic hotel with an incomparable staff even more memorable.

What a wonderful stay. I had been waiting to visit the Taj Mahal for 11 years and was thrilled to have this opportunity finally this year. The Oberoi was absolutely perfect in every way. They catered to every need we had from transportation to Agra from Delhi to our tour guide and magical Taj visit. While I hadn’t stayed at an Oberoi property previously, I can say with confidence this was not my last. Many thanks for the wonderful stay to the team in Agra who went above and beyond in every way.
