Lovely stay with great and friendly service. Beautiful surroundings and lucky to be back since we were last here in 2002. The gardens are gorgeous!

I stayed three nights in Villa Gallici and it is undeniably beautiful and photographs exactly as advertised. The property, gardens, and overall aesthetic are stunning, and it's easy to see why it appears so frequently on Instagram. Beautiful, spacious room, gorgeous grounds, pool and spa. Unfortunately, the service did not consistently match the hotel's luxury positioning or price point. On our first day, our room was not serviced. When we inquired, we were told the "Do Not Disturb" sign had been out which wasn’t the case. Rather than feeling like the issue was being investigated or corrected the response felt somewhat dismissive. At breakfast, which is served until 11:00 a.m., we arrived around 10:30. The staff seemed annoyed and we were repeatedly reminded that the buffet would close at 11. While technically accurate, the multiple reminders created a feeling of being rushed rather than welcomed. At a hotel of this caliber, guests should feel relaxed, not managed. The most surprising interaction occurred when we left for the day carrying a hotel room’s water bottle. We were immediately told that the bottle was for use at the hotel only. We explained that we were simply going out for the day and returning. Again, the tone felt more corrective than hospitable. None of these incidents were major on their own. However, together they created an atmosphere where the staff seemed anxious about rules and procedures rather than focused on guest experience. Villa Gallici excels at creating a beautiful setting. What it lacks, in my experience, is the effortless warmth, confidence, and graciousness that distinguish truly exceptional five-star hospitality. For approximately €1,500 -2000 per night, I expected service that felt more polished, intuitive, and welcoming.

We loved the Villa… totally romantic and perfect as a getaway. Staff is super friendly and made our stay so welcoming. Restaurant La Taula Gallici served such good quality food. Definitely will be back
