⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honestly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed — and I mean it! OK so first things first — the moment you walk into the lobby, there’s this amazing smell that just hits you in the best way possible. And it’s not just at the entrance, it follows you everywhere throughout the hotel. I honestly kept stopping just to appreciate it 😄 The interior design is stunning vintage style — think rich textures, warm tones, elegant old-world details — but the hotel itself is brand new, which creates this absolutely magical atmosphere. Like you’ve walked straight into a fairytale. Every single detail looks like a piece of art and I kept taking photos of random corners because everything was just that beautiful 📸 And the facilities?! Pool, sauna, jacuzzi — all included, no extra charges, nothing. Just grab your towel and go. So convenient and so well done. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the hotel spoiled us with so many lovely compliments and little surprises throughout our stay. It really made us feel special ❤️ Out of everywhere we went on this trip, this place was hands down the highlight. If you’re even slightly considering it — just book it. You won’t regret it for a second, I promise! Will 100% be coming back! 🙌

Went to Aix for the Cezanne exhibition and stayed at Villa Gallici because we had been over 20 yrs ago and after reading the good reviews. Looking at the website I didn't remember the rooms as so gaudy and just assumed it can't be that bad. Tastes are very personal of course and it seems many guests liked the style, but I found the room very oppressive and suffocating. Wallpaper, curtains, bedding etc were a mismatch of colors and patterns and there were so much knickknack and ceramics and figurines everywhere. if you are looking for a provencal style, light and airy, southern, mediterranean, don't go there. We paid 1400 Euros per night for a crammed deluxe room, I think it was 32sqm, with the bathroom up a creaky staircase. These are New York or London luxury hotel prices. We asked for extra coffee capsules and were charged 10 Euros, which was petty and the Diet Coke in the minibar was around 12 Euro, also outrageous. Staff at reception and breakfast were lovely however. But that doesn't make up for the extortionate prices and the bad decor. We wouldn't go back.
