This resort is not like a sterile 5 star hotel. It's chalked full of character. They invented the word "accommodating." Only 32 rooms in this sprawling property set in the middle of a colonial 1600's village. Safe and friendly. For you pilots this is definitely a sanctuary with a 5,000' hard surface runway only a mile from the resort. A little further south is the famous copper canyon. You'll strike up a conversation with a stranger here and gain a friend. Truly a remarkable place to enjoy life and relax.

We have now stayed three times over twenty plus years. Being embraced by the Hacienda, its incredible staff, and all Alamos are the most tranquil and contented breaks from “the real world” in our very lucky lives. Other five star reviews accurately represent the hotel and its ambience. This is one hotel where images on the website can only capture some of its beauty. We think all who come will be delighted. Having been for music and cultural festivals and just now in a quiet time, we love both.

Of all of the gorgeous places in Mexico, and the world, this hotel and campus is one of the most completely beautiful and historical of them all. Given this appeal, and its location in the foothills of the Sierras, and being only a seven hour drive from Nogales, AZ, I have say to this one very beautiful and uniquely beautiful places. The Hacienda location being in the center of the small historical town of Alamos , is a perfect blend of history, art and beauty. The huge campus of acres of gardens, trees, bougainvillea, and historically blended structures and features provides one with hours of amazingly beautiful relaxation and entertainment. The bar with pictures of Pancho Villa, hats, guns, a thousand spurs, more is just a start. The dining area can be outside in the gorgeous patio among bougainvillea and palms,or inside in elegantly decorated rooms in the Spanish style . The Agave cafe restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast outside or inside with cabinets filled with interesting art pieces. The rooms are elegant. The suites that we always choose are located in a private patio area with pool, pond, trees and large comfortable shaded sitting areas where one can lounge on sofas or chairs. Each suite with its own sitting area decorated with antique tables and fixtures, with all of the areas being unique in decor and detail. The gardens are absolutely stunning, perfectly maintained, and decorated with unique pieces of historic interest like wagons, saddles, and more. Outside seating is provided in comfortable and tasteful style throughout the campus. The campus even includes a chapel/ church in historic style. One can spend a day here without leaving the campus, and be entertained and comfortable. The town of Alamos is deemed a Pueblo Magico for good reason. Dating back to Spanish 1700’s mining of silver. The town has done a great job of preserving the two squares, cobbled streets and buildings to honor its history . Easy and very safe to walk anywhere you choose to explore in this beautiful town. No new structure over two stories! This place smacks of history in a comfortable and tastefully beautiful way.

We came for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is absolutely stunning. You can see the great care taken in the decor and upkeep. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The town of Àlamos is charming. We spent our mornings walking around town and one day took the bikes up to Parque la Colorada. Afternoons were spent relaxing by the pool. We also enjoyed the spa services. Definitely put this hotel and town on your must see list.

This is the finest hotel in northern Mexico hands down from incredible decor, amazing staff, attention to detail in every respect. Lunches and dinners excellent. Two chefs, Rosa and Rene knock it out of the park! Ramon 's music is romantic and special. The General Manager is a doll! This property has history and is creating history.
