Kimpton Atlantico Algarve

Recently stayed for a week with my family. Nice relaxing hotel with a clear focus on wellness, yoga mornings, detox juices, meditation music played around the pool etc. However, quite a few issues with the stay regarding attentiveness of staff given the price and hotel rating: 1. Having to ask each morning 3 times for a latte at breakfast and some days still not receiving it. 2. Ordering drinks pool side and not arriving, then asking at the bar "are they coming?" to be shrugged at and not receive an apology. 3. Having to separate the family between two rooms as they did not have interconnecting rooms (which is a problem with the travel agent) however, no apology or follow up to see if we could be moved etc 4. Room service not arriving, no apology. Final thing to note is the hotel unfortunately is not catered for children as advertised by our travel agent, ie no kids clubs, no children activities etc. Which is absolutely fine, just needs be made clearer to the target audience.

Clean room, nice pools and nice staff.

We’ve just spent a week at this fabulous hotel. It was total luxury from start to finish. When we arrived they upgraded our room which was stunning. The facilities were amazing! The daily yoga sessions were in the garden which was the perfect setting and the teacher was excellent. The pools are gorgeous and we had no problem getting sun loungers every day. There is access to two fabulous blue flag beaches. And the food is also excellent. We didn’t make use of all the spa facilities because of the fabulous weather and outdoor spaces. There is only one restaurant in walking distance which wasn’t great but other than that it was the perfect week away. We feel totally spoilt and would love to return.

We had a great week at this hotel. It is stylishly modern and feels really high spec. Our room was perfect and of the three places to eat and drink are lovely, especially the top floor bar with great views and a cool setting. If the hotel was busy it never felt like it, no towel placing at dawn by the pool required and the service we received was very good throughout. Be aware, however, that good places to eat nearby seemed hard to find - I would not recommend Il Borgo which is a stone’s throw from the hotel. Probably shouldn’t write this in case too many people discover it.

As a family we thankfully had a delightful experience at this 5 Star Hotel would definitely revisit is able to. Special mention to the Wellness Hub Team: Concierge Elizabeth, Mellisa, Ana, Joanna, and Intern Sofia. The services y so great we booked more treatments for the following day.
