When we arrived there on 5th May, Julia the reception manger greeted us with a warm welcome back and allocated the same room we’ve had previously over the years, her amazing team as I will mention Diogo, Ester, Hermenegildo, Luiza, Joao,Lucas, Esmercaldo, Diana, Ligia, Marcella. They all were helpful to us throughout our holiday there, we appreciated it, it makes a difference. The hospitality staff at the breakfast time, it was outstanding hospitality experience from Jacky, Manoj, Ruth, Dinu, Joao, nothing was too much bother for them. Excellent service from all the staff in hospitality. The housekeeping staff Rosey the supervisor excellent service done by her team Sandeep cleaned our suite, throughly with the other employees too. I think Rosey would be an excellent front desk employee too if she would have any opportunities to do so. My birthday was amazing at breakfast time, with a cake presented by the hospitality staff a memorable experience. Our room was decorated by the house keeping staff, with a note from the GM to wish me happy birthday a lovely jester.

Outstanding resort with very attentive staff , manicured lawns , spotless and spacious rooms with an incredible Gym and wellness facility. If you want to just stop and relax this resort has incredible breakfast with healthy options and wonderful pools to relax and enjoy your stay

We stayed four nights in April. The welcome drink on arrival was a lovely gesture and staff all so friendly. Esther and H on reception offered a warm service that was appreciated. I enjoyed breakfast and enjoyed lovely fresh fruit and perfectly cooked omelettes, well done to the guys on the omelette station at it was very busy! The room was stunning as was the hotel throughout. Short walk to the beautiful sao Rafael beach. The only improvement I could suggest is that the menu is more varied at the pool bar. The cocktails unfortunately were not nice and we tried a few. The wine menu needs extended as it was very limited. Those things aside I would go back as the hotel itself is beautiful with excellent staff.

Out of several hundred hotels, this is one of my top 10 hotels for service, proximity to the beach, and amenities. The hotel is fairly cheap to other 5-start hotels, and was recently renovated with updated amenities, therefore very clean. It is just minutes from the beach and has 3 wonderful pools with a full bar and food. The hotel is very well staffed (of course ANY hotel can be overwhelmed during busy season). This comfortable resort-style hotel is perfect for a simple getaway, or families with kids. Many of the staff members are born and raised in the area and can give you great tips on things to do, where to eat, and spots where locals like to visit (such as Fargo Island). I came to Kimpton for leisure and to work remotely. The internet (during my stay) was very stable, and there are many great areas in the lobby, lobby patio, swim area, or your hotel balcony where you can work with a gorgeous view. They also came to me to see if I wanted bar drinks or refreshments (most hotels you have to go to the bar for service when you’re in the lobby or work area). I have to say thank you to Julia with the front desk, who went out of her way with accommodation. I forgot my American power converter. Typical hotels have a few to spare, but they were out, so she made arrangements to ensure I have one within an hour so I could do work on my laptop. She truly genuinely cares for the guest and treats you as if you’re visiting her home. In the Spa, there is a gem names Elizabeth. The spa receptionist is extremely knowledgeable of restaurants eat at, and places to go to in the region. She is absolutely amazing...think of the hotel having two concierges, one in the main lobby and one in the spa. I had 3 days of relaxing message therapy with Ana, Allison, and Monica. All three were amazing and I highly recommend any of them. I believe this is a training hotel. I met several staff members in training, including one in the spa, Joanna. She was very hospital, and I hope she is hired by IGH Kimpton. I staff at this resort hotel are truly amazing, all very happy and in great spirits. This is a direct reflection of the hotel director, which I personally observed interacting with the staff with love and care, in how the staff interacted with me.
