In Old Town Alexandria, we relish our dual identity. We're talking history at every turn—against a storybook backdrop of 18th and 19th century architecture, plus an exciting cutting-edge energy along an emerging line-up of welcoming venues.

I have been contemplating if I should share a review. As a meeting planner, I have never been so disappointed in a Marriott brand than I am with this hotel. We have experienced several issues with this property and they all have been excused. This past week is inexcusable! They have a rodent issue that I was told was addressed when came up in a past stay. Needless to say I had a Board member encounter this during an extremely important meeting. We also did not have "hot" water to shower. As a trust brand there is so much that cant be trusted and it is very disappointing. Great location. However, they need some major renovations. I cant convince anyone to stay at this property for future events - the damage has been done!

This beautiful historic hotel located in Old Town Alexandria is WONDERFUL! The rooms, staff, grand welcoming lobby, restaurant and amenities are all fabulous! There are many lovely places within walking distance and it’s easy to get to Smithsonian museums and Washington National baseball stadium by car. I’ve stayed here many times (for both work and pleasure) and hope to be back soon. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were excited to stay in Alexandria. We booked this hotel for the location and the reviews. Parking and check in were easy. We got to our upgraded room and we noticed a Strong smell of wet and mold. We looked around and noticed that the wall by the bed had bubbles of water behind the paint. The windows were leaking and there was about an inch on mold/moss between the glass and window grates on the outside. We dropped our bags off quickly as we had dinner reservations. When we got back to the room the strong smell was still there and we were in the room for about 45 min-1 hour and we had to leave. I had an asthma attack and my husband had an intense headache. We tried to call the desk but they put us on hold. We packed up, left the room and went to front desk. We were offered to try another room but there was no guarantee as it is an old hotel. We opted to leave as we were both having issues from whatever was in the air. If you have asthma, I wouldn’t stay here!

I’ve just had the pleasure of staying here for two weeks ! What a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff, right in the middle of the old town this is the ideal location for your stay, the staff really do go above and beyond, however one lady who really is amazing, who always smiles, always a kind word is Elizabeth in king and rye at breakfast time ! Nothing is to much trouble for her clients. Housekeeping is also amazing and all the girls on the reception. Special thank you to Bailey Mc Cormick for your kind hospitality once again x see you in two years. Warmest regards Edward

Place is very convenient. Very clean and tastefully decorated. We came on Metro but other family drove, say parking is very expensive. Rooms are small and lack some electrical one bedside lamp broken. Have a nice courtyard. Charge a mandatory $25 hotel charge but claim you get a $15 meal gratuity. Third for breakfast, limited choices. The eggs Benedict were good with seasoned oven baked potatoes. Great hollandaise sauce. Strange bacon one huge 3/8 inch thick and very chewy. Coffee was atrocious, strong and burnt sent back. Price was ok for venue. The removed their pool during Covid. Overall ok but expensive for lack of amenities. Pay for prime location to river and street activities
