As my wife Sharon and I drove the hi-way between Lisbon and Porches for our one week stay at Vila Vita Parc we hoped that our pre-trip research to find the perfect Algarve resort was at the end of the road. Our GPS announced the final direction turn to the right in 100 feet. There in front of us was the gate which allowed us in to the Garden of Eden. The beautiful lobby and the initial snippet view of the resort was tantalizing. The check in process was friendly and efficient. We were then whisked away by golf cart to our gorgeous Oasis suite with private roof top deck. I must state up front that we had a major significant room disaster during our first night. The source of the problem is not worth repeating. However, I must state to all who read this review that the night and daytime managers of the resort were the consummate professionals. Both of them personally came to us to express their regrets both the night of the issue and the very next morning. To both of you we express our gratitude for your warmth and caring. We were transferred to the same type of suite but with a more exquisite view. We were also showered with additional expressions of thanks. It is when an unforeseen problem arises that the mettle of a resort is tested. VVP's management deserves high praise! The suite was just so beautiful. It was actually an extension of the grounds, the likes of which were out of a dream. We have travelled the world during our 42 years of marriage. We have stayed at some breathtaking resorts and hotels. VVP ranks among the best of the best. Our rooftop deck with its comfortable loungers, shaded area and out door shower afforded us hours of peaceful reading time. We spent hours on the deck gazing at the gardens but more than anything at the sea. We loved the cliff-side walking trail. Our early morning walks along this magnificent path was a fantastic way to start the day. The daily buffet was vast in size and totally delicious. Everything and anything one could want for breakfast was laid out before you. We ate at the adults only venue which was welcome. It had beautiful garden and water views. We are gym people. The resort's gym was very well maintained with a great selection of equipment. There were three onsite restaurants that I wanted to offer special mention of praise. We had great meals at Adega, Bela Vita Bar and Brasserie and Mizu Teppanyaki. The food at each was beautifully prepared and delicious. One doesn't often find hotel restaurants as exceptional as these three. Finally, but most importantly the staff. The level of professional yet exceptionally warm service at all job descriptions was what made our experience so enjoyable. From the lovely and welcoming receptionist, the bellmen who took us to our suite, the waiters, and our fantastic housekeepers. We thank you all. It's a shame that Porches and VVP are not closer to Philadelphia. Neil/Sharon

Beautiful grounds, just wish the service was better. Requested my luggage and the bellman just left the bags at the front of the car and didn’t put them inside this was disappointing.

I met Jessica last fall during a stay at Vila Vita Parc and she gave me the best deep tissue massage of my life — so when I planned this trip for June, I knew I had to rebook with her. I booked two massages with her over my week-long stay, and she did not disappoint. Jessica truly knows what she’s doing. After each session I felt like a new woman — my neck and back gained so much flexibility, and she relieved so much built-up tension I didn’t even realize I was carrying. Beyond her skill, she’s incredibly kind and professional, which makes the whole experience even better. If you’re staying at Vila Vita Parc, do yourself a favor and book a massage with Jessica. She’s hands-down the best massage therapist I’ve ever had, and I’ll be requesting her again on my next visit.

V V P is without doubt a real classic. I find it extremely hard to find any faults with it. The setting is stunning, the food is simply wonderful and the staff are probably the best all round staffing team I have encounter on my travels. If you’re coming to the algarve I believe you would be crazy to stay anywhere else .

Vila Vita Parc is an absolutely stunning property and, in many ways, one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve ever visited. The grounds are immaculate, the ocean views are breathtaking, and the overall atmosphere strikes a wonderful balance between luxury and relaxation. Most of the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service. That said, there were a few disappointments that kept the experience from being truly exceptional. While dining on the lawn, our food order was forgotten twice, resulting in lengthy delays. On departure day, a bellman never arrived at the scheduled time to collect our luggage, so we ended up walking our bags all the way to the main house ourselves. Several resort buggies passed us along the way, and no one stopped to offer assistance, which was frustrating. We also found the room fell short of our expectations for a luxury resort. The bed was not particularly comfortable, and we requested a pillow topper to improve our sleep. The pillows themselves were underwhelming. Some of the bedroom furniture and closets felt surprisingly basic, the flooring between the bedroom and bathroom made loud snapping noises when walked on, the shower leaked water into the bathroom daily, and there were occasional odors that made the room feel less fresh than it should have. Despite these issues, Vila Vita Parc remains a beautiful destination with an incredible setting. With a little more attention to room maintenance and service consistency, it could easily live up to its world-class reputation.
