Great hotel in a great location. If you are a golfer, you will be in paradise. Non golfers will enjoy the hotel, pool, restaurants and exploring the surrounding area. This was the first time we visited Portugal and could not have enjoyed the experience any better.

Classy hotel a short walk from the beach. The food is excellent and the staff have been there for a while and treat everyone like a returning friend.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect for proximity to the beach and for the beautiful sunset views. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. The staff at the hotel are so welcoming and attentive. Most people you meet are frequent visitors to the hotel. Some guests visiting multiple times each year. Surrounded by many beautiful restaurants but restaurants within the hotel are also excellent. Breakfast is fabulous and nothing is ever a problem to the wonderful staff. You won’t be disappointed with choosing this wonderful hotel.

Seriously impressed with the quality and attention to detail at this great hotel. Could find nothing to fault at all. All of the staff were highly trained and delivered absolute customer service excellence on a par with the best to be found anywhere. None of this comes cheaply but then you get what you pay for. We had a lovely room overlooking the lagoon with distant sea views and half board. There are beautiful board walks along the lagoon and to and from the fabulous golden sand beach. We were pleasantly surprised by how extensive half board menu choices were (you could have anything on the a la carte menu essentially) and this is worth doing as there isn't a great deal else in walking distance. We enjoyed the excellent gym and spa facilities. I would highly recommend.

Rooms out of date, disorganised check-in, amenities bad - not at all consistent with a 5 star hotel. Disappointing given the reputation of the hotel.
