We had an incredible stay at The Residence Maldives. Everything was perfect. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the kindness and warmth of every single member of the staff. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay special. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience.

Not much else to say, just the type of resort you expect when you travel to Maldives looking for paradise. Excellent restaurant offer, beautiful and cared for islands, amazing spa and the friendliest, most profesional staff we have ever met. Whenever we have the opportunity, we will not hesitante to choose The Residence for a new visit to Maldives.

Our second stay at The Residence Maldives was every bit as memorable as our first—this time made even more special as we were joined by parents and our 9-month-old baby boy. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. Spread across two beautiful islands connected by a bridge, it offers breathtaking scenery, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to unwind. We spent 7 wonderful nights here, and from the moment we arrived until the day we left, every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, warm, and always willing to help with a smile. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. Despite staying for a week, we never got bored thanks to the fantastic variety on offer. As vegetarians, we were especially grateful for how accommodating the chefs were. They regularly prepared delicious dishes that weren't even on the menu, ensuring we always had something new and exciting to enjoy. A heartfelt thank you goes to Chef Ashish, Chef Sohan, and the chefs at Li Bai and Long Island Restaurant for taking such wonderful care of us throughout our stay. Your kindness, creativity, and attention to detail made every meal something to look forward to. We were also incredibly touched by the care you showed our 9-month-old son, happily preparing freshly mashed vegetables and homemade fruit purées whenever we asked. It made travelling with a baby so much easier and gave us complete peace of mind. A very special thank you also goes to Joynal from Housekeeping. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he always went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. From the beautiful bed decorations to the stunning farewell bath decoration on our final evening, every thoughtful touch made us feel truly cared for and created memories we'll always cherish. Thank you to everyone at The Residence Maldives for another unforgettable holiday. We leave with wonderful memories, grateful hearts, and we very much hope to return for a third visit in the future.

We visited The Residence at Falhumaafushi earlier this year and had a wonderful and extended stay due to the Gulf conflict. We had a week in a beach villa which was excellent. Our room service provided by Joynal was second to none and he took care of our every need. This was followed by a week in an over water villa (which became two weeks) which was also wonderful. We found all the staff courteous, friendly and extremely respectful and they all deserve a mention and the service in the dining room and bar were unbelievable, they couldn’t do enough for us!. Food throughout was varied with lots of choice and special requests were taken care of quickly - we loved the food! Reception - a special mention for Yusaf, Assistant Front Office Manager, who was amazing at helping us sort things out during our third week. Madina, and the rest of the staff were excellent too. The Boutique was a special place to visit - Neha’s beautiful smile, knowledge and friendly service resulted in us visiting her regularly. We attended the Cocktail Evening where there was local dancing and Mr Sundaram, the General Manager, made us very welcome. During our stay we needed to visit the Doctor on two occasions and both Doctors thoroughly investigated the problems and sorted things out for us very quickly which was much appreciated. We attended a presentation on the beach by the resident Marine Biologist Jannah who gave an extensive talk on the marine life and the work she was doing preparing a marine centre for the resort. Her ideas to develop a coral farm allowing visitors to participate is commendable, and we look forward to seeing how this progresses on our next visit. Having been involved in the diving industry for many years Jannah’s presentation was one of the most impressive, informative and knowledgeable I have seen. Every question was answered professionally in full and with ease and I am now looking forward to enthusing others about her specialised field. I can only commend you on the calibre of your staff. We spent time with Jannah on a few occasions and it was apparent how passionate she is regarding her work and we learned a lot about the marine environment from her. We especially enjoyed the dolphin cruise where we saw dozens of dolphins swimming freely in their own environment which was quite a moving experience. The snorkelling we did in the lagoon was spectacular - we saw many species of fish, rays and turtles. To sum up this was the most unforgettable holiday we have ever had and cannot wait to return.

We stayed in a stunning ocean-view villa, complete with a bathtub overlooking the sea. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The villa was spotless, the bed wonderfully comfortable, and all amenities thoughtfully provided—including lifejackets. The pool was pristine and refreshing, perfect for a midday dip. The Beach Bar was ideal for a light lunch between water sports on sunny days, while the Library Bar offered a cozy retreat on windy afternoons with pool, board games, and books. Dining at Falhumaa, the resort’s French restaurant perched on the jetty, was a highlight—delectable cuisine paired with breathtaking views and the chance to watch blacktip reef sharks glide below. Afzal, our host, impressed us with his knowledge and warm hospitality. On the other side of the island, the Beach Club provided lively karaoke nights along with Italian and Chinese dining options. Another unforgettable experience was the Sunset Dolphin Cruise—an absolute must for anyone visiting. Overall, we had a truly wonderful holiday and left with cherished memories.
