The Residence Maldives

Apart from the booking team messing my 50th anniversary celebrations. The staff and the chefs weren’t brilliant. Where we stayed it was a bit quite but their sister resort was much lively. Good clean place. Love to visit again Compliments to the chef DINESH and all other chefs.

My daughter is studying marine biology at university in Perth Western Australia. This is our second holiday to this amazing resort and recommend to everyone that wants more than just a romantic honeymoon experience. We were able to snorkel twice daily and had water sports included. With an all inclusive package we didn’t have to worry about the bill for mini bar drinks at the beach or the selection of restaurants. The two islands joined by a boardwalk bridge ensured we had exercise as well as relax time. Half way was Castaway island which was also catered. I’d like to mention our fabulous staff do friendly and accommodating. Ibrahim who stocked our minibar each day and decorated our room for our birthdays. Jahed who served us several times at the sunset bar. Faiha who was our water sports coordinator. And lastly the beautiful young girl in reception that didn’t have a name badge but greeted us every morning with a smile and long braids in her hair. Would recommend this beautiful resort and it’s various amenities to anyone traveling to the Maldives.

Finishing our honeymoon in The Residence Maldives after 10 days in Sri Lanka was the best decision ever. Everything was just perfect: our water pool villa, the staff, the services, the restaurants, the activities... Thanks The Residence, we will see each other soon!

Our experience at The Residence Falhumaafushi was incredible. From the arrival and departure process, to the amazing accommodation, to the serene beauty, to the amazing staff. The variety of dining options was perfect, the privacy and luxury of our overwater pool villa was fabulous, and the attentive service we received was outstanding. We could not fault the physical beauty of this property, nor the friendliness of the very professional staff. They really made our stay special. We had an all-inclusive package, which was extremely generous, we did not want for anything. Our villa was kept spotlessly, our bicycles were regularly maintained, the grounds of the property are gorgeous, and we had such a peaceful and relaxing stay. I would recommend at least 7 nights at The Residence. 5 is not enough! The abundance of sea life directly in front of our villa was a delight. We loved this place, definitely a highlight of our travels over the years, and we hope to return one day.

Our stay at The Residence Maldives was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this resort operates on a completely different level of hospitality. The setting is breathtaking—crystal-clear turquoise water in an over-water villa, pristine beaches, and villas that feel like something out of a dream. We stayed in a water villa, and waking up each morning to uninterrupted ocean views and stepping directly into the lagoon was an experience we’ll never forget. What truly sets this resort apart, however, is the service. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and special. The attention to detail, warmth, and genuine care were evident in every interaction. It never felt forced—just consistently thoughtful and professional. A very special thank you to Hafiz, Ritika, and Sibu in the Dhigura dining room, who made every meal feel personal and memorable. Their attentiveness and friendliness truly elevated our experience. We would also like to recognize Yusuf, Assistant Manager at Falhumaafushi, whose professionalism and presence did not go unnoticed, along with a special thank you to the resort manager for ensuring such a high standard throughout our stay, as well as Shazly, who contributed to making our visit even more enjoyable. An especially heartfelt thank you to Mr. Sundaram, General Manager, for personally assisting us in rebooking our flights home. His support and professionalism during a stressful situation made a lasting impression and speaks volumes about the level of care and leadership at this resort. The food was excellent across the board, with great variety and consistently high quality. Whether it was a relaxed lunch or a more refined dinner, every meal felt like an experience in itself. The spa was also a highlight—peaceful, beautifully designed, and incredibly relaxing. We also loved the balance of tranquility and activity. Snorkeling right off the villa was fantastic, with abundant marine life, and the excursions were well-organized and memorable. Scuba diving was top notch; with vibrant reef life and marine life. If there’s anything to note, it’s simply that this level of luxury comes at a price—but it is absolutely worth it for the experience you receive. This was more than just a vacation—it was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. It was my 60th birthday present to myself, and our friend's 30th wedding anniversary. It was memorable. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend The Residence Maldives to anyone looking for a truly special escape.
