Lovely facility with a staff that is very eager to please. Staff repeatedly went out of their way to fix mistakes or help in, often, unnecessary ways (eg pool attendant insisted on carrying a glass full of ice for my wife who was carrying nothing at all). But the hotel is not without (modest) problems. Signage (eg about pool hours or directions to fitness center) is very bad. Attempts to address a family member's food allergies were appreciated, but often inadequate and thus more hassle than help. Probably the worst problem was that extensive email exchanges with concierge well in advance of stay settled on 3 arrangements for concierge to make for my family - but the concierge and hotel team completely failed on 2 of them (the arrangements were simply not made or made for a different date than agreed). The hotel staff was nice about addressing those mistakes, but at least one such mistake was not addressable at all - very disappointing. Do not recommend having concierge make arrangements unless you are already present at hotel.

Our second stay at Conrad Algarve thoroughly reaffirmed the excellent impressions of our first visit, confirming the hotel’s steadfast commitment to excellence. The property itself is a masterclass in aesthetic refinement. Its pristine beauty and elegant design create an immediate sense of tranquillity and exclusivity, offering a setting that perfectly reflects the exacting standards associated with the Hilton brand. The true distinguishing factor, however, is the calibre of the staff. From the reception team’s warm and efficient welcome to the attentive yet unobtrusive service throughout the hotel, every aspect of our stay unfolded seamlessly. The culinary offering was equally impressive: a superb breakfast selection provided the perfect start to each day, while the restaurant staff’s meticulous attention to detail consistently enhanced an already exceptional dining experience. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the General Manager and the entire team. Such a consistently flawless operation is undoubtedly the result of exemplary leadership and a shared dedication to world-class hospitality. For those seeking a refined and uncompromising travel experience, I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

We are currently nearing the end of our holiday at the Conrad. We have wanted to stay here for a long time but didn’t think it would be appropriate for children. However I couldn’t have been more wrong. We booked this hotel as part of the Football Escapes package so you do football at the Campus every morning and then you have the rest of the day to enjoy the hotel. The Conrad is just incredible, staff cannot do enough for you. The level of service here is unmatched and I hope they never change this, this is one of the things that sets the Conrad apart from other hotels. It is a true 5* experience. The staff also are all very friendly and genuinely seem like they want to help and make your stay more enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is so good, it is a small selection of quality food and the à la carte menu for breakfast is so good. The little touches like the children’s smoothies every morning always made my son happy. The kids pool is great, here the children can play as normal with inflatables etc and this is not frowned upon. The pool is large, clean and plenty of sunbeds. Food and drink service to your beds. They will deliver the sushi from the top pool sushi bar to the lower pool - we had sushi most days and it’s great! We did not have any bad food or drink, it’s all amazing. The bar staff will make any cocktail you want. The rooms - wow! We have loved everything about our room, the bed is huge and very comfortable. Our son was made up he didn’t have to sleep on a sofa or sofa bed and it was a separate bed put into the room. The balcony had amazing sunset views and really nice furniture. The housekeeping team - what can I say they keep these rooms spotless, some of the best cleaning we’ve had in a room. It was our sons birthday when we were here and we hadn’t mentioned it, I think it must have been passed on by the housekeeping who saw birthday cards or perhaps they’ve just realised from our passports at check in, either way we turned up to the room and there was a cake, with a candle and matches and then a bottle of bubbly on ice. A lovely and unexpected touch from guest relations. Every member of staff we’ve encountered is a credit to this hotel. They’ve made our holiday and we cannot wait to be back. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday! This is one holiday I don’t want to end!

We booked the Conrad based on the many excellent reviews online for a friends 40th and arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite live up to them. While the rooms are very spacious, we found the décor quite dated and corporate compared with the rest of the hotel. The tiled flooring makes the rooms feel cold and particularly echoey, and noise travels easily — I was woken each morning by footsteps from neighbouring rooms. We were also surprised by the complete lack of background music around the adults’ pool. While we appreciate a peaceful atmosphere, it felt almost eerily quiet at times, with most guests wearing headphones, very little ambience. On a positive note, we really enjoyed the Nest Bar. The cocktails were excellent and it had a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, our final evening ended on a disappointing note. We sat down for dinner at 9pm and ordered only a main course as we had an early flight the following morning. Our food didn’t arrive until 10:45pm — a wait of 1 hour 45 minutes, which we felt was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse the food that did arrive was very poor quality - the pork included 3 cubes of meat. Overall, there are some lovely aspects to the hotel, but given its reputation and price point, we expected a much higher standard and sadly left feeling disappointed.

The Conrad Quinta do Lago continues to exceed our expectations. We returned for our 5th year for a family holiday and once again the food, amenities and particularly the recent upgrade to the restaurant are top class. But what sets this hotel apart are the amazing staff. Ricardo's team at the pool, including Anna, Babu, Caleb, Esther, Rafael, Lucky, and Alan went out of their way to make sure we were looked after and were always on hand to help. They provided us with sushi that was to die for each day!! Eli, Mafalda and Filipa welcomed us every morning at breakfast with smiles and chat and anticipated our every need. The bar staff were equally as attentive and welcoming, every evening we received an amazing greeting from, Ilido, Rajon, Ranjita, Collins along with Niki and Bianca. A fabulous hotel stay. We'll be back next year.
