The hotel is beautiful and very comfortable. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. A shout out to Amara for the wonderful introduction to many of the Turkish foods and coffee!

Grand hotel with central location in Izmir. Rooms are spotless and comfortable - we were especially impressed by the substantial range of amenities provided in the bathroom (sponges were a particular treat!). Aircon not the most effective and duvet oddly small for the massive bed size. Executive lounge a clear highlight with substantial breakfast and happy hour included. Outdoor gardens and pool area still closed for season in April. Great sea view from the rooftop Italian restaurant. Valet parking a reasonable price but access to hotel somewhat difficult given layout. Furnishings reminds me of classic early noughties Sofitel decor - all black leather, chrome, and wood paneling. Would stay again.

This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a non-refundable stay assuming the standards would be similar to hotels in Istanbul, but I was unfortunately stuck with a very disappointing experience. The hotel is extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and not clean. It lacks even the most basic standards expected from a proper hotel. The breakfast was of very low quality, with poor ingredients and limited options. The staff were clearly untrained — no proper greeting, and not even basic service like taking initial drink orders during breakfast. Overall, the level of service does not even meet a 2-star standard, let alone a 5-star hotel. Considering the price I paid per night, I could have easily stayed at one of the top hotels in Istanbul, such as Address, and had a far superior experience. This hotel is absolutely not worth the money, and I strongly recommend considering other

Unfortunately, despite staying at this hotel for 13 days, I did not have a good experience overall. On the first day (check-in), we had to change rooms three times due to a very unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom. After switching multiple rooms, we were finally given one, but it was still very outdated and not clean at all. The carpets were dirty, and the room was generally not in acceptable condition. In terms of service, it was also disappointing. At breakfast, for example, there was no one to greet you or ask if you would like tea, coffee, or anything else—no attention at all. The only exception was a staff member named Ismail, who seemed to care more about the guests and provided better service than others. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, especially since it is currently under renovation. The conditions are not suitable for hosting guests at this time.
