Located in the Northwest of Saudi Arabia, Our Habitas AlUla is nestled among an ancient oasis in a desert valley surrounded by spectacular sandstone cliffs and palm groves with pathways leading up to one of 96 guest rooms, reception, a yoga deck, wellness and fitness centers, restaurant and a swimming pool. Every room is made from ethically sourced organic materials that blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings with minimal disruption and a sustainable programming leaving no trace on the environment. Our programming is the backbone for creating magical moments for us. The six programming pillars, which include: wellness, adventure, culture, learning and F&B are authentic collaborations with the local culture and nature. Tama, the restaurant, is a place to come together and experience an immersive culinary journey through time. With farm-to-table practices and sustainable agricultural methods. The food & beverage concept infuses Saudi & Middle Eastern cuisine, using local, fresh ingredients, such as spices once traded along the incense route, bringing Saudi Arabia’s unique flavors to life.

First of all, I have to say that overall it's a wonderful property. That said there are a couple small things that I personally found irritating. No pics allowed if you have any type of camera other than from a mobile. I am sure the majority of people are ok with that since that's what most people use but they go to great lengths to come after any guest using a proper camera. There seems to be no reason for this - at least I wasn't given a reasonable explanation so keep that in mind. My second issue was the pool area. Its truly lovely, the setting, the service, (if only they served alcohol- perhaps one day) but anyway, there are 100 cabins and only about 20 double-sized sun beds so bottom line, its very busy and most of the time, that is not enough. They either need to add more beds or, I have an idea, build a smaller adults only pool in another location. The property is certainly large enough and it would solve the noisy children issue at the main pool - its great if you have kids, not so great if you don't.

Our Habitas in Alula is a beatiful resort blessed by a breathtaking nature sourrounding the area. Views are spectacular. The resort is special and would be alone worth the trip. However one issue we found annoying is that service is very poor compared to the level and pricing of the hotel. Facilities are not right-sized for the number of rooms. We found difficult to get sunbeds at the pool or to get an electric bike (in this latter case we were told to wait several times without any real explanation of why we could not get the bikes). Personnel at the breakfast room seem lost and without direction. All in the result overall is not really stellar.

We had the best experience ever in a resort, everything was just perfect. The reception, the food, the service was exceptional, if you have any problem the people at the hotel help you in every process. Mohamed and Omar were always helpful with tour bookings or with transportation. We forgot that in Saudi was a different tipe of charger and they solve the problem, we didnt have reservation for a tour and they solve it, its impressive how they are so careful with every detail of your experience. I thing there is no other Hotel like this in Al Ula.

PROS Stunning views – the natural scenery was truly breathtaking. Charming Old Town nearby – looked like something out of a movie set! Friendly staff – warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Well-designed rooms – comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. CONS Inexperienced service – staff took a long time to respond to even basic requests. Small pool – not proportionate to the number of guests staying at the hotel. Limited lounge chairs – shockingly few poolside seats; many guests had nowhere to sit. Poor management of guest flow – especially around the pool area. Constant photo shoots – Instagram influencers occupied the pool area throughout the day, often making it uncomfortable for others trying to relax. It became a bit ridiculous.

Well well well!!! Wow wow wow!!! Not sure just quite what to say well, apart from, WOW! Must say that AlUla might not have been at the top of the bucket list, but in hindsight it would definitely have been on it. This place is incredible in so many ways; a real beauty of an oasis in the desert. And now for something completely different, for sure 🙌✌️🙌 However, the pièce de résistance is most certainly, Habitas AlUla! Holy smokes, the most beautiful hotel with the most incredibly nice, smiley, kind, happy, attentive staff, from all over the globe. Quite literally in the middle of the desert, but so easily and quickly accessed from AlUla airport - just like everything in AlUla and especially at Habitas AlUla - it's all so easy! Special mention must go to the two chaps who made coming back to our 'house', #22 each day a joy - like walking back into a brand-new hotel room each time we left it!! ALL THANKS AND PRAISE TO: Rana & Humayun!!!! Thankyou so much 🙌✌️✊👊😎🫡And a restocked mini-bar full of our new fave alcohol-free beer....'Moussy'! 🙂 More praise be to the main men in the restaurant/ pool-side, Amer & Malek - you guys really made such a nice difference to our stay, thankyou thankyou, thankyou! All the very best and can't wait to come back, from #22 🙂 wappingacc@hotmail.com
