Fun move themed rooms and healthy food

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

This is a cute hotel near a nature park where we went for hiking. Stayed here for two nights. All the rooms have different movie themes and decors - with a group it's fun to have a tour and check out each other's rooms. We had the Avatar room (#4) at first but had to change as it gets the afternoon sun which was relentless - almost impossible to be in the room have to keep the blinds closed which totally defeats the purpose of the mountain view. It's also the only room that has a round bed. Thankfully they were able to give us another room - Eat pray Love (#1) which is on the opposite side with a nice balcony we were able to enjoy in the afternoons. Aside from that the room has a rustic but modern vibe and is laid out much better than the Avatar. We had dinner here both nights and one of them we all prepared our own food with the help of the staff which was a fun activity. They have no fridge or tea kettle in the room. There is a bar with honor system - if you use anything even tea bags you are supposed to record it on a card and pay when checking out.

Perfect getaway to flatten the wrinkles

Super Location, the whole neighbourhood works together and uses each other’s products from ceramics to olive oils in the family run farm to table restaurant, the hotel staff is super nice and helpful, the hotel itself is stylish and cosy!

Nice stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 months ago

Very nice small (12room) hotel and restaurant located in an olive grove in a national park. What's not to like? Each room is decorated differently. Rooms are spacious. Ample letdown space for toiletries. The restaurant is very good and arrangements can be made for a collaborative cooking experience.

Lovely Hotel but avoid the Willy Wonka room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 months ago

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. It is lovely and very relaxing. The pool area is also very tranquil. The rooms in part of the hotel are movie themed and our room was the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory room. The room was very spacious and enjoyable to stay in. The problem with our room was that the bathroom is chocolate brown, has insufficient lighting and you simply can't see yourself in the bathroom mirror. The lighting either needs to be improved or the mirror changed. I also found it annoying that the room had no coffee or tea making facilities and the hotel charged for making your own coffee or tea in the common areas.
