Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel is the kind of place that feels almost dreamlike from the moment you arrive, rising from the cliffs in a beautifully restored 13th-century convent where history, serenity, and coastal glamour meet. The setting is breathtaking: pale stone archways, cloistered walkways, and sunlit terraces frame wide-open views of the Amalfi Coast and the shimmering sea below, while the interiors bring a polished sense of calm with elegant rooms and suites, refined details, and a peaceful spa designed for unhurried indulgence. Guests can drift between the pool, terrace lounges, and inviting dining spaces, where every corner seems made for long breakfasts, leisurely aperitifs, and sunset moments that feel straight out of a postcard.
Beyond the hotel, Amalfi is wonderfully close, placing the cathedral, harbor, beach, and lively town center within easy reach. It’s easy to spend the day wandering narrow lanes lined with boutiques, cafés, and local trattorias, then return to the quiet luxury of the clifftop retreat above it all. Boat excursions, scenic coastal drives, and nearby villages add even more to the experience, making this a beautiful base for travelers who want both the romance of Amalfi and the ease of a five-star escape.

It was our Honeymoon trip, and this place did not disappointment. Everyone was amazing and the food delicious. The pool is refreshing overlooking the area. I felt like a Queen. The room are spacious and comfy. They even had a "pillow List " of 12 types of pillows you could choose from. I took full advantage of that! They have 2 restaurant areas - 1. elegant and 2 casual- which depending on your need you were satisfied. I fully recommend this wonderful place to enjoy Amalfi.

Our stay at Anantara was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we were made to feel genuinely special throughout our stay.

Perfect stay in beautiful Amalfi again. The weather was hot but a trip to the private beach location in a beautiful cove made it great. A quick 5min boat trip from the pier in Amalfi and you are in a fabulous setting. The arrival service and private setting is perfect, the water crystal clear and lunch is fresh and light. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and amazing. Our last dinner at Locanda was very relaxing and delicious. The entrecôte and ribs are to die for.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel has the most amazing views due to being higher up, which meant a bit of a trek to Amalfi, but worth it for the views. In any event there was a hourly shuttle service which could have been better if every 30 minutes at peak times. The room was well presented and clean. The breakfast was amazing and the service was excellent. We also went to the bar in the evening and the staff were exceptional - friendly and knowledgeable. The only criticism would be that it was expensive and sometimes overly so - the bottled water at over €12 was three times the cost of the top restaurants in Amalfi. To me that is unacceptable. Other than that, it was great.
