Seemingly molded into the side of a jagged cliffside is the Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi – part of the LVX collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Teetering high above the Amalfi Coast, this former 13th-century monastery is now a glorious hotel situated along the Italian seaboard. Impeccably restored to its original splendor, yet not without expected conveniences, the Grand Hotel features just 53 tasteful rooms and suites with a white motif and latte accents. French doors push open revealing Juliet-style balconies encased with ornate iron balustrades and million-dollar seascape views. The hotel's crisp alabaster color scheme is infused with brilliant hues courtesy of blooming bougainvillea, leafy emerald plants and azure reflections from the sea.

The Highlight of our trip!
Very clean and comfortable! Friendly and helpful staff. The La Locanda Della Canonica restaurant serves OUT OF THIS WORLD food creations! We traveled for 3 weeks from Venice to Sicily and this restaurant was by far THE BEST! The chef and staff made us feel like family.

Luxury Hotel in Stunning Amalfi
The hotel is perched on the cliff above Amalfi, with the village being easily accessible by foot in under 10mins. Lots of steps to walk off lunch and dinner ! The hotel runs a vehicle to the village if you don’t wish to walk. The whole hotel is simply stunning. The view from the room was to die for and the bathroom was stocked with Acqua Di Parma toiletries. The staff were so helpful and polite. There is a beautiful outdoor pool and outdoor gym for those visiting when it’s warmer. Our only negative was that the room was warm and there is no way to regulate the temperature in the room. We had to open the windows to cool the room but there is quite a bit of noise through the night.

Breathtaking Views & True Luxury in Amalfi
Our stay at Anantara Convento di Amalfi was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were completely taken in by the breathtaking views—truly some of the most spectacular we’ve ever experienced. The food was memorable and beautifully prepared, and every detail of the experience reflected a true sense of luxury without ever feeling overdone. One of our favorite features was the private walkway into town, which made exploring Amalfi both convenient and incredibly special. We also had the chance to participate in a private pizza-making class, which was such a fun and authentic experience—definitely a highlight of our stay. Even the smallest details stood out, like the bath products. The Acqua di Parma Colonia scent was so distinctive and elegant that it will forever remind me of our time in Amalfi and this iconic hotel. An unforgettable experience from start to finish—we can’t wait to return.

Excellent
We travel a lot and have been to many beautiful countries and hotels. The Anantra convento in Amalfi is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever been to. The views are breathtaking and the service was faultless. A truly wonderful experience.
