About the Hotel
Formerly a 17th century monastery, the Santa Rosa enjoys a magnificent location with incredible views in all directions in an Amalfi Coast rustic retreat surrounded by aromatic, lemon-tree-filled tiered gardens. The 20 bedrooms are decorated in cool, neutral colors, livened up with modern art. All guest rooms have ocean views, surprising amounts of space and a 100-per-cent-romantic vibe. Beds are made up with the finest white Italian linens and the bathrooms are splendidly done out in sand-colored stones. The hotel's Michelin-starred Chef Christoph Bob creates innovative Mediterranean dishes prepared exclusively with products from the monastery's own garden, served with all the elegance of luxury fine dining. The Spa at Monastero Santa Rosa was dug directly from the cliff rock, and seems worlds away from the stress of daily life. WOW! WOW! WOW!
This is a truly unique Hotel, unrivalled. We found the staff to be highly attentive, friendly, respectful and efficient. The Hotel is magnificent with breathtaking views from most locations. The Hotel is as clean as clean and everything is pre-thought of. So many little touches including little gifts most nights, make this wonderful escape so special. The food too was really tasty and plentiful. The courtessy shuttle to and from local restaurants and towns like Amalfy was very welcoming and the driver is such a lovely guy! The attention to detail is clear to see and it was a real pleasure to meet the remarkable staff who took time to ensure our expectations were surpassed. We enjoyed the history and traditions of this incredible hotel. I read about this resort some 12 years ago and have finnaly made the visit. Wow was it worth it - of course it was. Fantastic!

high end luxury luxury and quiet on the Amalfi Coast. We loved our time at the hotel and highly recommend for a peaceful trip. The staff was attentive and made sure we had all we needed to rest and relax after a hectic two week tour of Italy, The outdoor gym is amazing and the breakfast is top notch!

‘Have you ever stayed at another hotel as nice as this’
As we left our breakfast table after 9 fabulous nights at the Monastero, a delightful honeymooning couple on the next table asked us if we had ever stayed at another hotel as nice. We had asked ourselves the same question the previous evening and reminisced about a variety of hotels that we loved across several continents. However, we concluded that the Monastero Santa Rosa was very special in every way and had exceeded our expectations in its history, beauty, amazing location, and quality in all areas. Kudos to Ferdinando and every member of the team for their passion and generosity making for a truly memorable guest experience. You are the best of the best.
